Escape to the seductive city of Havana in this erotic romantic suspense by Kathleen Rowland.
Veronica Keane is a marine biologist in town vying for a prestigious grant. She’s the daughter of a famous scientist but that fact only makes Roni work harder to prove herself to the scientific community. Her competitor is the drop-dead gorgeous Dr. Carlos Montoya and he’s won many grants in the past. It’s the night before the announcement and Roni is taking in the Havana nightlife. One Night in Havana by Kathleen Rowland
One Night Series #34
Cuba is a place that fascinates me and what I read about Havana was intriguing. Roni and Carlos are scientists vying for the same grant and both study octopuses…and they interest me, too. Throw in a criminal element that deal in drugs, a chase, some conversation and more and you have a book that kept my interest and made me root for the two to manage a HEA even though their politics and countries may not be on the same page.

Kathleen Rowland's One Night in Havana is an interesting mix of love, suspense and intrigue. Romancing the charming Carlos under the smokey Havana sun, Veronica Keane or Roni, takes a risk. The winner of many awards, Carlos is also her protector, but she may have fallen into a trap, and bitten into the apple of the original sin after all. However, the Cuban atmosphere holds her in the grip of a magnetic tango, that she cannot escape either. Carlos is out to investigate drug trafficking on the po

This erotic novella takes place in Cuba and Rowland does a good job of describing the magic of Havana in her descriptions. It is obvious the author has done research into marine animals--especially the octopi...

One Night in Havana, by Kathleen Rowland, is an erotic novella with a steamy Cuban setting. It’s main characters, Roni and Carlos, waste no time in hooking up, and have repeatedly hot sexual encounters throughout the story. Fast-paced and written to entice readers of erotica, thrillers and mysteries - this is a book that will, if nothing else, have readers wanting to take a Cuban vacation.

Marine biologists, Veronica (Roni) Keane and Dr. Carlos Montoya are competing for a grand prize at the Havana Bay Conference for marine biologists. The two also share a connection that is hard to fight, resulting in some very steamy encounters. In One Night in Havana, Author, Kathleen Rowland does a good job of blending mystery and erotica for a thrilling, fast-paced read. The scientific facts may slow the story a bit, but as a lover of knowledge and science, I found it edifying.

Criminals and gunfights, hot encounters and cute little octopi!
Veronica Keane is not the most gregarious of people, and she needs to be if she stands a chance of schmoozing her way to winning the marine biologist grant to study octopi. She's come to Cuba for the conference where the money will be awarded, only to find herself in competition with Carlos Montoya—again. Dr. Montoya is a smooth talker, always knowing the right thing to say and do to put himself front and center. While Carlos wants t ...more

I'm going to jump in with the others who so thoroughly enjoyed this book. I think that it is a great read if you like a little more substance with your erotic books. You will be very pleasantly surprised on the deep and intriguing story you get out of it. Roni and Carlos are both very captivating characters

There are some beautiful descriptions of Cuba in this book. It took me a few pages to get in to this one but I really wanted to know what was going to happen to Roni and Carlos. It was a steamy read with suspense added, a lot of action happened in 24 hours. Unfortunately it felt a little incomplete and I wasn’t really attracted to the characters.

Fun, fast paced romance.
Now to the good (sexy) part. Roni and Carlos have an instant connection and chemistry that melts the pages. It really took a certain kind of man to handle Roni and her ways and he balanced her perfectly.
There is plenty of action and twists and turns to keep you invested throughout.
