This is the first book I've read from this author so I was excited to read her work. It turned out to be an okay read. The characters were likable, but I did not feel any type of chemistry between Paige and Lance at all. The only thing that seemed believable was the one night stand that lead to the pregnancy. To me this is a story that can be read just to say I read it or just to pass time. However, at the same time I think this book would be great for readers who like over the top insta-love, r

I’m not sure how it came about that I picked this book up, probably through Book Bub or something. But however it was, I kind of forgot about it. But now that we are knee deep into hockey playoffs, I thought I needed to get some hockey romances in and while going through my hockey romance books came across this one. I’ve never read anything by this author and hadn’t heard any buzz so I was going into this book blind.

This book was a really quick read. If you love a secret baby, sports and second chance book then you’ve found it. Lance and Paige meet one night and she takes off without any information. When she tries to find him all her effort falls short. Time passes and Paige sees him on TV and realizes who he is. Lance needs to clean up his act what better way than with a baby you’ve never meet. A ready made family. But can they make it work? After all it was only one night. I read this book voluntarily fo

This was another great read. I read another book by her and it was great too. I was surprised by how well he handled the news. I was happy because normally things like that will get dragged out. I was really happy that everything worked out in the end. They both deserved it.

I'd like to take a star off review for the name of this book. It almost was a pass for me. It seemed cheesy. The cover made up for it.
Story not original but done pretty nice. It had supernatural elements but that put it in fairy-tale and Lance was typical good guy jock. It's pure escapism. Loved it. ...more

This was my first book by June Winters. I was looking for a new hockey romance book when I was offered the opportunity to review this book, so of course, I jumped at the chance. Overall, it was an okay read for me. It wasn't bad. I read the whole book and relatively quickly, but it lacked...something. And I felt like the relationship between the H and h was rushed. And seeing how the book was only 60,000 words, there was an opportunity to stretch it out some more. Will I read more books by this

A sweet (and at times sexy) second chance romance. (Though their first chance wasn't really a chance at all since it was a one night stand.) Two years after a one night stand (a rebound for her and a out of town fling for him,) the couple find each other again. Only knowing each other's first names and what city they were from, they had no way to contact each other. She has a bit of a surprise for him when they do meet up (which happened to be a crazy chance meeting.)

I’ve only read one book by June Winters before It was Forbidden Puck and it was wonderful based on that experience I grabbed Ice Daddy as soon as I saw it. No surprises here. It was equally good. I’m not going to summarize it as the publisher’s blurb does a perfectly decent job. Frankly, it’s ending is of course predictable but that doesn’t matter because the route taken to get to that end is simply superb. The lead characters here, Paige and Lance - and their surrounding friends - are actually

Paige and Lance meet one night after Paige goes out to mend a broken heart. They have a one night stand but neither can forget the other, both for different reasons. Lance can't forget the girl that he spent one night with and Paige can't forget the guy because she ends up having his baby. Fast forward two years and a chance encounter has them both back in each others lives.

This is an author that is new to me and i will certainly be reading more from this author in the future.

Okay so parts of this book were cute but others were really cringey. Also, this is a sequel to the book Forbidden Puck. Okay so I thought the story was cute and it was a quick easy read and pretty entertaining. Also I liked seeing this redeeming moment for Lance because the last book really made him the villain and he kind was the worst so at least this one make him seem like a better human. So on the flip side, the relationship between Lan ...more

Eh
First the coincidences are just so beyond unlikely. He subconsciously knew he had a kid and kept going back to the bar? A 15 month old that starts playing hockey with no encouragement and then randomly connects with her father at a game? I mean some of this stuff was just beyond and it seriously affected the believability of the whole book.

I find it kind of strange; I’m not really a hockey fan, but apparently I’m a fan of hockey fiction. Ever since I saw him in the previous book, I’ve been waiting for Lance to “get his”. And boy did fate ever get even with him. Lance comes across in this book as cocky yet charmingly, endearingly, sweet. It’s safe to say I pretty much adored him all the way through the book. Paige, on the other hand, didn’t always make me love her. Her motivations are completely understandable, I just wasn’t enamor

I have to admit that I didn't much like Lance in Ella's and Rader's story so wasn't sure how I'd get on with his story....I now love Lance! He's grown up so much and yes he still makes mistakes, but he owns them and tries to correct them. He can look past the superficial and see deeper, see his hopes and dreams in a way he couldn't before.

Lance is a star NHL player for Boston. Paige is a nursing student in Nashville. They meet at a local bar/restaurant after one of his games against the local team. They’re each had some bad experiences with past relationships. But their chemistry was undeniable.

Cute story
It’s a quick, whirlwind of a story, but it’s cute. While some of the story is a tad rushed, there’s very little drama or added agony where there could have been (not entirely a bad thing). It’s a tad unbelievable in some areas, but just because likely we have all seen other real life scenarios that don’t go as smooth. It’s a cute, quick and happy read overall. Just don’t expect to get hit with a “that could totally happen” feeling. It’s a cute fairy tale romance.

This Ice Daddy really has moves, on and off the ice. A one-night stand with an unforgettable woman and this jock is hooked. Little does he know that his cheesy pickup lines had more truth to them than fiction? The souvenir he left behind is the catalyst that united them the second time, and, what binds them together.
I love this story.

I love this story.

I liked this second chance romance read. Paige is a nursing student and trying to get over her ex, has a one-night stand with Lance. She ends up pregnant but doesn’t know how to get into contact with Lance, when they see each other a couple of years later, both are shocked. The chemistry is still there, can they find a way to make it work. This was a good read for me. I liked the characters and the story, they end felt a bit rushed however overall, the story is entertaining.

I really enjoy a good hockey romance. I felt like this was a good one. The moments with Lance and his daughter are just too precious. They really melted my heart. Lance has a lot of growing up in this one to be the man Paige and his daughter need him to be. Seeing Lance maturity from the beginning of the book until the end was one my favorite things about the book. Lance and Paige have explosive chemistry, but do have the connection for a future together?

This is so sweet, romantic and entertaining. When Irie sees Lance the first time, that scene is too cute and amazing. Lance is charming, sweet, determined and romantic. Paige is strong, optimistic and responsible. Their one night stand ends with a baby, and 2 people searching for each other. It's an exciting and romantic and so mushy. Add it to your TBR list today.

While I am marking this as a sports romance, none of the action takes place on the rink. Great premise and likeable characters. My only complaint is that for first person narratives there were times when the heroine would be describing the hero as "the athlete" or the "hockey player" during sex scenes and it took me out of the scene a little bit. I think the author was trying to not just use his name or pronouns, but no one thinks or talks like that. Other than that the series was good.

I really enjoyed this story, especially the way that Paige and Lance were brought back together by their daughter. Their relationship was a great mix of sweet and steamy, though Lance's turnaround in personality felt a bit too compressed. Great story. I love the Brawlers and can't wait to read more about the team and its players in the next story.

Quick read, insta lust/love. secret baby The story started out pretty strong. Somewhere along the way it just became a little bland. There was nothing different from any other secret baby story. Some of the scenes were a little exaggerated. The daddy/daughter scenes were very cute. Overall, it was a good read just not great.
