Prima boek met globale achtergrond info (uitgave 2019). Weinig details en slecht vertaald. Te vaak zinnen tegengekomen waar geen hout van klopt. Jammer.

Nice pictures, and some interesting background on Australia, but a useless travel guide. Not only is there very little information on what to see and do, transport, hotels, etc., it is years out of date. I used the 2008 edition recently in Australia, and I got sick of wrong information and tourist offices telling me "Oh, that closed, moved, changed 10 years ago." I threw it out.

[2011.11.19] Used for the Australia portion of our Nov-Dec 2011 trip. NatGeo books have interesting additional information and some pictures (good for brainstorming). They're too heavy and don't contain enough detailed information to be useful during a trip itself, but we did copy and bring with us the Sydney Harbor Walk and information about the Blue Mountains of this book.

I read for information about the ports where Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's 13-day Queensland voyage will be. This book gives me lots of information about Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns, some about Newcastle, and nothing about Airlie Beach.
I am glad my local library had this available to borrow.

Great pictures and a nice general overview of places to visit. Gives you a general sense of where to go and when. Better for learning about the culture than for travel tips on hotels or restaurants.
