The challenges of setting up a new MC were huge, but Braxton Callahan knew the rewards would be worth the hard work that he and his brothers were putting in. Relocating to Corinth, Texas had been interesting to say the least, but they wanted to live in a town where the businesses they were starting would help revitalize the area. A single father to Lily, a precocious six-year old, he longed to find the woman who would complete his family.
When Caraleigh Jensen moves in next door with her little boy Luca, who is the same age as Lily, he finds himself drawn to the widowed single mother. Change isn’t always bad and it isn’t always good.
Follow along as Braxton and his brothers continue to rebuild the town while he works to woo the woman his heart says is his.

I have been an avid reader for most of my life. When I was younger I used to sit and fill spiral notebooks full of stories. As I got older, I took the jobs needed for raising my boys as a single mom, until I met my now amazing husband. I have stopped working in the last three years and started promoting authors, then I blogged and reviewed for authors, which lead me down the path to writing and creating characters and stories. I love creating behind the scenes with my writing getting to use my imagination and write the story as it comes to me. My youngest is now a senior in High School leaving me with some spare time on my hands to be filled. I am loving the people I am meeting and the support system I have found. I only read the sample, but that was enough to decide not to purchase the full version.
I've had 3 kids of my own, I've worked with PreK right up to 5th grade kids, and I can't say I've ever heard any of them speak the way the authors have their characters do in this book.
The nail in the coffin for me? Here is this woman, who is new in town, has a son in first grade, sets up a play date with a complete stranger. Takes her son to this man's house. A man she has NEVER met, doesn't have his phone number, found out what his name was after he opened the door, and proceeds to leave her child alone with A STRANGER for hours ????? WTF kind of mom is that ?
Yeah, I get it's fiction and all, but come on, as a mother - the sample alone was filled with so much NO, I knew I would just end up pissed off at the idiotic female character. #SheWinsAtBeingABadMom
Braxton Callahan is the President of the Rebel Guardians MC. When new neighbor Caraleigh Jensen moves in with her son Luca, Braxton knows she is the one for him. He is the father of a daughter Lily and between his mother, their kids it is only a matter of time before they are living in one household. The only problem is Caraleigh's former husbands parents who want Luca for their own.
I liked this, a bit angsty but was what I was in the mood to read. There are some pretty funny moments and the book flows well. Liked Braxton he is a bit of a caveman which makes for a good read.
I received a kindle copy from the author(s) for review to get their numbers up on amazon. Ugh...I don't know what to say about this one. The premise of the story was not bad. It was a disgustingly sweet insta-love story about two people with kids finding each other after loss of their partners(one from death and the other abandonment). First thing that really got to me was the writing style, it felt so robotic and it was really hard to feel the emotions of the characters because it felt forced or not believable. And the way the kids' speech was done annoyed the hell out of me, it made me wonder if the author(s) ever actually listened to children speak before, especially for the ages of them. And the sex wasn't really that great honestly. I tried so hard to get into this one and it just didn't happen, I found myself skipping parts just to get through it so I could give the review. It really confuses the hell out of me how this book has so many 5star reviews, I just don't get it. I hate giving bad reviews but it is what it is. I give this one 2.5 stars :(
Really enjoyed this MC Romances. Braxton is a single father who is president of a mc club. He meets his neighbor a widower with a small son and life is about to change. A pretty vanilla club - in legal busines working together and no club bunnies. But all alpha males. If you haven't read any MC this would be a great first one.
Braxton: Rebel Guardians MC is my favorite read of 2018 so far. Braxton and Carleigh have a chemistry that sizzles. The storyline is fresh with a good balance of romance, drama, and family dynamics. Lily and Luca are so freaking adorable. The supporting characters are just as interesting as the main character which makes it a page turning experience. Loved it all! Can't wait for the next book in this series.
I only gave this one 3 stars because in the beginning it seemed to me it was to proper for an MC book. Lately I have read quite a few MC books and it was hard to process the toned down comments of the characters regardless of the situations and made the books appear a bit fluffy to me. However I am glad that I did finish the book and really enjoyed the story line, so much so that I would entertain reading more books by this author.
DNF 45%. - I struggled to get this far, the storyline was good but the dialogue wasn’t natural and too forced. It didn’t allow you to connect with the characters.
Could not put this down!! Braxton, is just beginning to make a difference with his Brand new MC, legitimite businesses and family atmosphere brings together a great group of guys with just the right amount of security for his little girl. Caraleigh is starting her life all over again after the death of husband. Escaping the cruelty of her in laws, Cara and her son Luca begin a new life in a new town and find more than they ever expected! An outstanding storyline of two single parents looking to provide the best they can for the little one in their lives. Neither one is actively looking for love, but they find a love like no other in each other. Regardless of their pasts, these two amazing people stop at nothing to make life perfect for each other. Wonderful characters both lead and supporting, they all have such way of connecting with each other and compliment the story in a big way. I can’t wait to see what happens next for this amazing group of people! Well Done🌺
Enjoyed this one....great start and collaboration between these two authors. The storyline is fast paced, sex is hot, and characters memorable. Can't wait for Hatch and DJ's book. Plus this book left some unanswered questions, need to find out more. And I absolutely love how much impact the kiddos have in the storyline. I love little Luca. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
Braxton is all male and loves his club and his daughter. His mom has really stepped up in helping him raise her. When he meets the new neighbor, all bets are off. He wants Caraleigh but he knows he has to ease her into his lifestyle. This book is all about family to me. It was exhilarating to read and I fell in love with these characters. Awesome writing.
This is the first book in a new series from this talented writing duo. Braxton is a single dad to his little daughter, and when widowed single mom Caraleigh moves in next door with her little boy, there is an instant connection. This is a well written story which is filled with love and protective alphas, which all had me hooked and intrigued throughout, and I look forward to reading more in this series.
I am in love with this series and I just finished book 1!
The women in this series, can I be them when I grow up? So strong, intelligent, loving, sassy!
This has it all! An up and coming MC so there is not much violence but everything else is there. The kids are the cutest! Absolutely in love with Luca!
Braxton Callahan is not only setting up a new MC while relocating to Corinth, Texas, but he's also a single father to the most precious little tiny human known to man, since her mother abandoned them both. It hasn't been easy, and he wants to spend more time with her, but luckily, he has his mother helping out, however, that doesn't mean he doesn't wish for a significant other for both of them. Fate decides to step in when Caraleigh Jensen moves in next door with her tiny human Luca, who is the same age as Braxton's Lily, and he finds that he really wants to make her his. However, Caraleigh is a widow, who wasn't treated well in her marriage by her husband, or his family, so she's a bit gun shy, though she wants Braxton as well. So yeah, this is a super fun journey that entertained the hell out of me. See, they had some serious chemistry, but Caraleigh, aka Cara, was a bit innocent since her crappy husband didn't really take care of her needs, so it was fun watching them set the sheets on fire, or any furniture for that matter. And those tiny humans? They simply stole the show for me straight up, as they kept me rolling in laughter, and they weren't the only ones, especially after Cara's bestie, DJ, rolled into town with her tiny human. There was even a f-bomb worthy twist or two that wasn't wrapped up yet, so I was ready for the next book immediately after I finished this one, though it wasn't a cliffy per se. Well done Liberty Parker & Darlene Tallman as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This book was cute and I liked the story, but it sadly didn’t keep me attached to the pages where I felt like I couldn’t put it down.
Caraleigh is a single mom who just moved to town after her ex husband passed away. His parents never liked her and she felt like it was time to get away from them and start new somewhere else. I liked that she took a stand and was brave enough to move where she didn’t know anyone to make sure her and her little boy had a better chance at happiness.
Cara moves in next door to Braxton, the president of the Rebel Guardians MC. He is also a single dad to a little girl. Braxton meets Caraleigh and is instantly attracted to her and can see having something serious with her. Their relationship took off quickly and this drew me into their love story.
One problem I had with this book was the way all the kids spoke. They are all around the age of 5, and I know kids that age say words incorrectly and can have speech impediments, but I think it was taken too far in the writing. They all seemed to say certain words the same and I couldn’t help but compare it to the way my nieces and nephews speak and it was a little unbelievable and annoying. Other than that I did very much enjoy the book!
I will also say the way it ended had me wanting to pick the next book in the series right up! It left me with some definite questions that I felt needed to be answered!
I thoroughly enjoyed Braxton.. It is your more calm MC romance series. I love the calibration between Liberty & Darlene. They work very well together and produce a awesome story for all of us to read.. I can't wait to read Hatch & DJ's story!!!!!!
Love everything about this book, the fact that it's a cleaner version of any MC books I've read, that's what made it unique and different in it's own way, loved it, I would definitely recommend this MC SERIES, I'm giving this book 5 stars.
I think this is the first book I've read by these authors and while the book has some proofing issues I did enjoy the characters. Since there were some things left up in the air I will probably read the next book. It was definitely worth reading.
So this is a new author and series for me. I didn't know what to expect when I picked this up. The story was good, full of cute moments with the kiddos. You got to see how Braxton and Caraleigh interact with each other, their kids and the brothers in the club. I don't think I've read a MC from the beginning. I forgot that the little things that needs that need tweaked in the beginning. The truck company is going strong, so much so they need more drivers. You can tell how close the brothers are and how close family means to me. The thing that got me was.. things move very fast with them. I mean they weren't together all that much before their was talk of marriage, adopting, putting his cut on her and getting a new house. I feel like they just rushed into things. I get that when you know you met the one,you want to spend all the time in the world with them and move on in life. I also realize that she had a rocky marriage before and things are different now.. While I liked Cara and Braxton, I just felt like some things were added that didn't need to be. Oh and I felt like the way the kids talked were possibly younger then their ages. I mean Luca was a year old and he was still kinda baby talking. It didn't settle well with me. This book was good and it was a good start to this series. I'm excited to read book 2 and get to know DJ and Hatchet a little better.
The first of the Rebel Guardians MC gives us a nice introduction to everyone in the club, and starts off with Braxton's story. As the president of the MC, Braxton has put everyone else before him and his needs last. Tired of being on the road so much, he knows a change is due, he just wasn't expecting the change to be in the form of his new neighbor. New in town, and wanting a fresh start, Caraleigh and her son, Luca, are going to make the best of this. Meeting Braxton is just the icing on the cake in making this move even better. Now the two just have to figure out how they fit into each other's world.
This is a hard review to write, if I ignore what bothered me then I can give this 4 stars. Unfortunately that would be almost half the book. The way the kids spoke really drove me crazy and I ended up just changing everything in my head and correcting their speech and speech patterns. Putting an S at the end of most of their words just makes them sound dumb, not childish. This was a really tame MC read, super sweet insta-love, that moved at the speed of light, with very little drama and just ok naughty bits. There are some editing issues, I'm still not sure if there is a Chef and a Chief or if that is the same person. I give this 3.5 stars.
I have to say that this would be bumped up to a four stars really easily. All it would take is for the kids to not ALL have same cutesy speech patterns. It drove me nuts. Kids make different mistakes, especially when they haven’t know each other for years.
Apart from that annoyance this is a great fun story. The plot is pretty straightforward and the characters may have past issues but they don’t really cause major problems.
It’s a feel good book, with no angst and doesn’t really stretch or challenge the reader, which is sometimes exactly what you want.
Though this is an MC book, the MC is a law abiding one. There is no crime which makes a refreshing change. The MC is a new one made up of men who have known each other years and decided to band together for social and business reasons. I’m pretty sure that a massive amount of MCs are actually like this but books always get written about the 1%ers. These are good people building a life together.
I like the characters of the story, I enjoyed the storyline but at times I thought it was too easy or simple for the better word. Everything is hearts and flowers until it isnt. Also both male/female leads have children I think its wonderful that Lilly will be getting a mom out of Caraleigh and Luca will be getting a dad out of Braxton but I didn't like Luca calling Braxton dad and Lily calling Cara mom after only 6 weeks of dating... it just bothered me I guess being a single mom who was with their ex/baby daddy for years that It would take years. Before I let my child call another man daddy. So I guess its sweet and all and this is fiction i just thought that part of the storyline was too soon. I loved Braxton's alpha ways, sexy ways, I love the authors idea of the MC...Caraleigh is smart ,funny, sweet and I love her naughty side. So I did enjoy this story and can't wait for Hachet. Happy Reading!!!
Braxton is the president of the Rebels Guardian MC which is going through a lot of changes. On top of that he is a single father to Lily, his six year old daughter, and is very loyal to both his brothers and his family.
Caraleigh is a widow and single mother to her son Luca who is the same age as Lily. She is looking for a fresh start and the last thing she needs is to get involved with her new neighbor Braxton.
From the moment Braxton sees Caraleigh he wants much more than to be neighbors but are they able to put the hurts of the past behind them so that they can embrace a future together?
I love the characters as Braxton is so protective and Carleigh is so strong and the kids are too cute for words. The collaboration between these two writers was flawless and I look forward to the next book in the series.
