Jasmine King loved her chosen profession, until she was assigned as Chad Nelson's personal security officer. The sex-fueled country superstar was either a stone-cold killer or the target of a deranged psychopath. Regardless, the self-absorbed bad boy was now hers to protect, and she'd be damned if she'd fail-despite the singer's best efforts to make things difficult. One minute Chad Nelson was the reigning king of country music and the next, an FBI murder suspect in not one, but two murders. As if that's not bad enough, he's in the crosshairs of someone who wants him dead. He's got a front row seat to the destruction of his wildly successful and carefully constructed life. Jasmine and Chad are plunged into a deadly situation when the race to get him to safety reveals pursuit by not only Chad's enemies, but worse, Guardian's. Now, positions are reversed as the country star reaches back to a military past to help free Jasmine from a bloody confrontation. Thankfully, Chad's not the shallow performer Jasmine originally suspected, and she'll use any advantage to protect her man as Guardian scrambles to find the killer.

Jasmine has been hired to be security for Chad Nelson the hot country superstar. The first night on duty she has quite the evening and ends up with an injury. The man she is supposed to be protecting ends up helping her.
When Chad meets Jasmine he is hooked and when he finds out who she is, he struggles with letting a woman protect him, that’s not how he was raised.
I’m one of the best at what I do. I have extremely sharp nails, long teeth, and my bite can kill.
These two have definitely met their match in each other. They have to pretend to be a couple so that Jasmine can try and find out who is stalking Chad. Although the fake turns real awful fast and when these two connect it is HOT. Chad is quite the lover and really knows how to make Jasmine feel good.
I don’t like to be even. I prefer to be on top - Jazz
There is so much more to this great read. Several twists and the big one towards the end, WOW, I didn’t see that coming. I also loved when Chad meets all of Jasmine's brothers and parents, I had a LOL moment. This was a great suspenseful romance and I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was next. I loved Jasmine’s strength she was quite the spitfire and really keeps Chad on his toes. And Chad, all I can say is Yum. If you're looking for a great read, 1-click and get started today.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Reviewed by MAustin from Alpha Book Club
OMG!! This was amazing, every book I've read in this series I've loved and thought it was my favourite, but this is my favourite so far. Jasmine was totally kick ass, sassy and feisty, but I wouldn't expect anything less from a King sibling. Chad, oh Chad! He was so swoon worthy, he might be a mega star but when needed too he stepped up to the mark and protected Jasmine. The chemistry between them scorch the pages and there's some serious sexy times between them. There's a few twists and turns that you don't see coming and a lot of suspense. Another great read from this author and I can't wait for the next book in this series.

This one did not really work for me. I did not love the Dom/Sub storyline. It did not work at all. It felt fake. I liked the MCs, but something about this book just did not work for me.
Happy for Jasmine and Chad to get their HEA, but the book was a grind for me to read. But not every book in a series can be awesome! So i'll keep reading!
I admit it...I'm now a Kris Michaels addict! I've read all six f these books in two days and am really annoyed and don't have another one to begin immediately! No hint who the next book will be about either!
This book is again more of a character story than a co tribute to the ongoing Russian mythology though there is a bit part about it mentioned. Chad and Jasmine are sympathetic characters that the reader wants to root strongly for. Again, like in the previous book, this book more involves the investigative part of Guardian rather than the military and the story builds well. Being a mystery/suspense addict I predicted the villain early on but it did not spoil the story for me (plus I was happy to ultimately be proven correct!)
I am so glad to have discovered this author and can't wait for the continuing books in this series.
I really like this series and its focus on family relationships. I’ve been enjoying the characters in this series and even though I have tons to read, I can’t put this down.
The premise of this is that Chad, a country music superstar needs protection from the Guardian security team when he is threatened. King sister, Jasmine is pulled to protect him and sparks fire. But will they catch some sense and admit their feelings or hire them tile it to them.
5 stars!! What a great read, I did not want to put it down. I was loathed to stop reading and do adult stuff. I just wanted to be left alone, but NOOO my family had other ideas. I was so annoyed at my constant interruptions! This book is the sixth book in the series but can be read as a standalone. It really can be too, it was perfectly written and to say it was the sixth book I didn't feel like I should have read the others first to get the feel of it, or to fully understand what was happening. The only thing now is I WANT to read the other five books, and I will definitely be paying amazon a visit to one click them. The characters are brilliant in this I have to say. I do love a story with a really strong, kick a*#* female main character and Jasmine is that and a bit more! She is assigned to personal security for Chad Nelson, who I might add is verrrry lovely, hot and sexy, he is a famous country singer/songwriter and his life is in danger. I highly recommend you one click this and join Jasmine and Chad on this thrilling journey you won't regret it.
This series by Kris Michaels just gets better and better. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the sister's story as well as all the hot, alpha brothers but it was so refreshing.
Jasmine, was strong and independent and not afraid to own who and what she is...kick a$$! It was refreshing to watch the H/h in this story have adult conversations and adult feelings, not all the angsty BS you find in most romances. Sure there was a little of that as she fought her fears with respect to her feelings but it only added to the plot line and moved the story along to a very satisfying conclusion.
I can't begin to express how much I'm enjoying this series and there's still more to come...thank you so much Kris Michaels, I absolutely love this family.
I think this is my favorite book of the series so far. Jasmine is a PPO for Guardian Security and is tasked with protecting a hunky country star who has a stalker and is a person of interest with the FBI in two murders. Chad is a mega country star and has the rug pulled out from under him when he finds out someone close to him may want him dead and that two people who are suing his are dead. He does however like his new security. Jasmine goes in as a love interest as is not immune to the country boys charm. These two take a wild journey and grow closer as Guardian tries to find out who’s behind the trouble. Lots of big brothers being a pain, family blood and chosen, action, suspense, steam and love.
Chad is a new character and a larger than life one at that. Jasmine has been introduced before and her strong and bad*** self is in full display in this story. This is a mix of murder and stalking with a dash of the Russian organization after the Kings and Guardian. I loved the scenes where Chad is with family and friends on the ranch. The twins are hilarious and I thought the updates on Chief and the Russian situation were cleverly interwoven with the story. The ending was not surprising, but I did find it entertaining with how it all played out!
Loved it! This series is one of my favorites and every time one comes out I drop everything to read it! Love Jasmine and Chads story. Chad is a country music superstar who needs protection from a stalker. Jasmine is a strong badass Heroine and I want to be her when I grow up!! The book was hot with plenty of suspense, just like I love in my books. Can't wait for Chiefs book. 5 stars but wish I could give more❤
Jasmine is a tempest. I am in awe at the strength and passion of this one woman. The newest addition to the Kings of Guardian was worth the wait. The best strong female lead read of the year.
Another great entry in the Kings of Guardian series, with a slight detour into the world of music and fans and good country living. These two characters finding their way to a happy ever after is both fun and sometimes a little intense. I enjoyed every moment.
Seriously alpha men and women. I stumbled upon a few authors but none captured my attention as far as their storytelling the way Kris did. Love these books and the spin off series. They keep on getting better and better. You don't know what you are missing if you don't read Kris's work.
I have been following this series from the first book (Jacob) and must say that I am enjoying it, with "Joseph" being my favorite thus far. Although I attempted to read “Jared”, I was only able read the first couple of pages before giving up – M/M is unfortunately just not for me, so I decided to skip it (in the hope that I will not miss out on too much where the over-arching plot is concerned). I just finished reading “Jasmine”, and these are my thoughts:
Chad and Jazz met when Jazz was assigned as his personal security following threats he received (but was unaware of). The story started out well, with Jazz taking down an attacker at Chad’s concert. Jazz, unfortunately – with Chad being a celebrity and all – made some assumptions about Chad’s character (some not unwarranted, to be fair). She told herself that she did not like him but could not help feeling attracted to him. Chad, for his part, fell for Jazz almost immediately. What followed was an action-packed journey, from Chad being set up as the fall-guy in an FBI investigation, a stalker closing in on him, to Guardian’s enemies targeting Jazz this time around.
The plot, action and suspense were engaging. I liked both Chad and Jasmine as characters, and there was not too much angst in as far as the romance was concerned and no third act breakup. Characters from previous books joining the fun added to a good story. I did find the paragraphs in the first one or two chapters too long, though, but that was remedied in subsequent chapters.
Jazz’s character started out as this she-man who could do anything a man can do, who did not need anyone to save her; she called the shots in everything. This is fine and well, but I think I am just a teeny bit tired of FMC’s being presented as the female version of Arnold Schwarzenegger – it is not a good look, especially not in a romance. Jazz, however, redeemed herself as the story progressed but, unfortunately, she then swung in the opposite direction, becoming this typical romance book FMC hung up on whether the MMC loves her and will ask her to marry him or not. This is a trend I’ve seen in too many romance books – it’s all about the FMC getting that ring at the end.
At the start of this story, Jazz met Chad and another guy (Maliki?) on the same day. Because of her assumptions about Chad, she gave him the cold shoulder, then proceeded to flirt with this other guy, going as far as giving him her contact number and going out on a date with him. This type of thing in a romance does not sit well with me – once the MMC and FMC meet, there must be no OM or OW involvement for me to enjoy the romance. But here’s the kicker: this other guy was not mentioned again for the remainder of the book. What happened on their date was never revealed, nor was Jazz’s “excitement” over meeting him explained. So, I’m not sure what that was about or what the author intended to do with that line, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.
The story line involving Jazz’s ex was also off. Initially, she was said to have had no real love for him, so when he cheated on her, it hurt her pride more than anything else. In later parts of the book, however, she was then positioned as someone who had her heart broken in a previous relationship. Also, Jazz's angst about her future with Chad was unnecessary: Although Chad told Jazz that he wanted a future with her, she started worrying about him not wanting her in his life. Both cases were contradictory in nature and did not make sense; it was just illogical.
Chad and Jazz’s relationship development was fine but choppy, and the chemistry felt forced at first (with Jazz getting excited over meeting another man and all). The “spice” was good as well, but not overly adventurous. The story was good, though, so I would recommend it to anyone who does not mind the abovementioned “gripes”.
Griping and an impossible to put down page turner of a book. Even the police procedures and details of the paperwork rather than coming across as boring give the book a more real and authentic feel. All the character are great and completely consistent with they appearances in the other books. As a comic book fan the touches of continuity are the icing on the cake for me. In fact Kris Michaels even manage to very cleverly resurrect/link in a character from one of her short stories Undertow: A compilation of short beach stories: Backwater blessing.
Everything about this books feels real and if you have been following the series you will have come to enjoy all the characters. The side characters do their job well you are happy to see them again but they do not overshadow the main characters. jasmine is a strong woman who has done it all in the world of personal security, however her job has become her life and she is used to being in the background, for all of her feistiness she has a certain naivety to her that makes her enduring. On the Flipside of the coin Chad Nelson has made his career his life but is used to being the front of the stage and main event. When death threats and a string of murders pointing at to him as a suspect he starts to see how little control he has over his own life. Can these two save each other?
Everything about this book a great the writing, the pace, the emotions, the steamy sceans as great as they are still take a back seat to the overall story and the characters are brilliant. Two things
1) I would say is as kick @$$ as Jasmine is she is actually the tamer sister I would love read Jade. Jasmine is the sister the brothers feel the need to protect, Jade is the sister the brothers are scared of.
2) I would love to see hos the king family "go in the offensive" next.
Can't wait for the next King or Queen of Guardian book.
This was a fabulous romance story with action/thriller elements. It was a page turner that quickly drew me in.
I am glad I finally got back to reading this series. There are many books in this series to read and I’m not finished reading them yet. In my opinion, Kings of Guardians/Joseph and Kings of Guardians/Jasmine are tied at #1. Kings of Guardians/Jasmine centers around Chad and Jasmine (Jazz) journey.
Both stories deal with elements of the Dom/Sub world. I could not be the Sub (like Ember) in the Joseph world because that’s just too rough for me. But I say “yes” to being the Sub in Chad and Jasmine world.
Chad is a country music star but he is no pushover. He is not one of the Guardian guys but he could still “hang” with them because he refused to let them intimidate him (especially Joseph). I loved the way that Chad slowly but surely pushed through every one of Jasmine defenses and wins the prize.
Jasmine is Chad’s personal security officer. She is tough and a fighter but there is also a vulnerability underneath the mask which she keeps erected around her. Jasmine may be the personal security officer (or elite bodyguard) but Chad protects her just as much as she protects him.
For Chad, it’s a never-ending battle breaking through Jasmine defenses. But he finally wins the battles and receives her love and her heart. I was kinda sad when I finished the book because I just wanted more of a glimpse of their life/their future.
Other Guardian players & their families from previous books appeared in this story and that was a joy! Excellent series, so far, but I do recommend starting with Kings of Guardians/Jacob.
Loved this story! As we got a closer glimpse into the story behind jasmine. Reminded me of April Wilson’s story about Lia McIntyre and Jonah Locke. Where the Female main character is the body guard protector. But the male is still a strong and protective male who can hold his own and wants nothing but to protect his woman. Chad showed he could hold his own numerous times while putting himself in between a threat and Jazz. This alone allowed for the ghost and silent scary brother, Joseph, to drop his guard momentarily and accept him to the scene. So that approval means all. Loved the story about how she was a badass but he was always there to make sure she was ok. As well as touch on more dominant/BDSM aspects. We got a touch of control play and pushing limits on Joseph’s and embers book. Which was expected with his severely controlled life he needed to live in order to always stay ahead and alive. Learning Chad has a control and dominant streak wasn’t shocking when you learn about his lack of control over his life being a celebrity. So good. And it touches on a lot of misconceptions about the lifestyle. Lots of twists and turns in this story. Was his a bad guy, did he hire someone to do the murders, who is stalking him, who is killing those people, jeez can’t count the Russians out. One thing after another. Just wish we got the scene where Chad fires Millicent and her firm. Wanted it so bad. Loved how jazz put her brothers in their place after trying to ‘interrogate’ Chad. Loved it. So many laugh out loud moments. Can’t wait for more.
Jasmine not only a beautiful name but gorgeous guardian too. She is one bad-ass girl who can kick any man. She is not only feisty but dangerously gorgeous with all those skills that a guard have. Chad on the other hand is a famous country star. He is not only can sing right to your heart and soul but body that die for. When these two met, the chemistry is louder than the country fans.
I loved reading this King Of Guardian Series. Jasmine is my favorite guardian. I enjoyed reading this book. It is not only suspense but the story is oh so good. It also very sweet but oh so funny as heck. It is also a very steamy but romantic book. If you love music especially country (though I am not a fan) and a girl who is strong, smart and dangerously gorgeous, Jasmine is hard to resist. This book is an amazing read.
It is a HEA book but if you missed the first King Of Guardian Series, why not check them out. They are all connected in this story too but would be easy if you read the other book from this very suspense and steamy series. Jasmine is hard to put it down.
Jasmine’s book has been my favorite of the series so far.
I absolutely adored Chad! That man was such a good guy and so gorgeous. Even with the threats to his life, and the fact that Chad was being set up, he stayed strong and solid. He fell hard for Jazz and was determined to prove to her that they could have a future together.
Jazz was a King who was just as tough as her brothers. She took her job protecting Chad seriously, but she never imagined she’d fall for the man. She tried to fight the attraction and tried to believe there was no way it would work. However Chad knocked down all of Jazz’s walls and gave her no reason whatsoever to doubt his love.
I guessed who the bad person was early on, but it didn't take away from the story and I enjoyed finding out I was correct. The Russian back story continued, but hopefully it will be coming to a head in Chief’s book next. It was good to catch up with all the characters from the previous books and I’m looking forward to reading more in this series.
No plot spoilers No potential triggers There are a couple of errors but nothing to get irritated about. The characterisation is flawless with distinct individual personalities and motivators, I have to admit that in previous books I found Jasmine a bit abrasive and cold, but this book blows that view apart. Chad has a massive series of life changing events occur and the measure of the man is how he processes and adapts to those changes. I seriously couldn't have asked for more. The plotline is slightly convoluted but that feeds into the overall backstory that has been building almost since the series started. I find it very easy to suspend belief and enter the world of Guardian. That's the mark of an excellent storyteller. Jasmine wasn't a favourite before this book, she is now. There are quite a few sex scenes and some swearing. I have no problem highly recommending the book but would advise reading from the beginning of the series to enable a good reading experience.
This book was perfection!!!! I loved the entire story from page one to the last page!!! There was not one minute of let down.... The unusual storyline flowed through page after page! I started reading it on a Saturday morning and kept reading it until I was done!!! The couple, Jasmine and Chad, were an interesting, very likeable and exciting couple to read about. There was no angst or unnecessary drama between them just laughter, banter, sexiness, and complete understanding!! I always love so much that all the brothers, their wives and the Guardian team are featured in each book..... It makes each book even more enjoyable because you get to see how all the other couples in the series are doing, if they have had children, and how their lives are proceeding!!! It doesn't take away from the main couple but just really enhances each story!!! I highly recommend this book.... I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!!!! 😊
I borrowed Jasmine ~ Kings of Guardian ~ Book 6, by Kris Michaels from the Kindle Unlimited Program.
Jasmine comes off one assignment and goes straight to another without getting home. She is to protect a country western star at a sold-out concert in Atlanta and a crazed fan jumps the barriers where Jasmine takes the hugh man down.
Chad Nelson, the star is a person of interest in two murders, has problems with death threats, a SUV that causes a crash where they are attacked and pushed off the road and Chad saves Jasmine. They make to the safe compound in South Dakota where they wait for Chad's prolems to be investigated and another murder is committed.
Romance develops between Jasmine and Chad as they open up to one another and learn to trust each other. They make plans for their future, return to Nashville where they are attacked again from an unexpected person on Chad's team. This one is full of actionfrom start to finish and has a happy ending too.
Jasmine is the sixth instalment in the Kings of Guardian series by Kris Michaels. It is a perfect mix of action, romance, and family drama that was so easy to get hooked on. Each book spotlights a different member of the King ‘family’ - the elite operatives working for Guardian Security - so you get a fresh story every time, but with plenty of familiar faces popping in along the way. The plots are fast-moving, with everything from high-risk rescues to international missions, but what really makes the series stand out is the loyalty, teasing banter, and the intense, heartfelt romances which gives all the action so much more depth. If you like romantic suspense, military romance, or strong law enforcement vibes, intriguing characters, and a sense of found family, then this series is definitely worth diving into. It’s exciting, emotional, and just the right amount of addictive. Happy Reading…
Someone in Chad’s trust circle is killing people making Chad guilty plus there are threats against his life. Enter Guardian. Jasmine King is less than thrilled to be tasked with sexy, superstar bad-boy country crooner Chad Nelson’s protection. It only takes days to see Chad might be some of the things in his file she sees what’s not there and she likes it… a lot.
What Jazz doesn’t like is Chaz’ trusted folk are users and manipulators, she’s certain one of them has betrayed him. Their ruse should’ve worked, she could’ve been a woman he had a relationship with in his army days that’s now available. But someone knew. Jazz had to move Chaz cross-country incognito while trying to block the deep feelings that they share. Meanwhile, the Russians up the ante on the personal international war with the Kings. Rating: 4.5stars
I enjoyed reading this book. Chad & Jasmine are such a great couple. He’s a down to earth famous musician and she’s his bodyguard. They had chemistry right from the start and became hotter as they got to know each other. The concept of Jasmine protecting him from a stalker while keeping an eye on him in case he’s the one murdering people is intriguing. Chad is a good guy who used to be in the military so he’s got the alpha vibes. He sees how strong and capable she is and doesn’t treat her as weak. I like that we get to see the characters from the previous books. This book was more of a romance book with a couple of mystery to solve while bad guys are gunning for them. I enjoyed this and recommend this series and especially, this book. I can see me reading this again.
Chad, a country music superstar needs protection from the Guardian security team when he is threatened. King sister, Jasmine is pulled to protect him. While he is used to security, as a former military man and a southern boy, he feels he should be protecting the woman! This naturally doesn’t impress Jasmine at all– she’s a strong woman who is one of the top bodyguards in her field, and lives for her work! When death threats and a string of murders start pointing at him as a suspect, he realises how little control he has over his own life. There's plenty of twists and turns that you don't see coming and a lot of suspense, and of course plenty of action, family, banter, mystery and romance. Who is after him, is he innocent? Could it be one of his trusted inner circle? Does he need to rethink his life? That is if he lives!!
