All my life I looked and wondered. Could I? Would I? And then, finally, I did.

But when I sampled a taste of that forbidden fruit, my whole world came crashing down.

Now, I’m in Edinburgh, seeking redemption with a new team and trying to rebuild my life.

But one look at Chef Lachlan MacLeod and I’m tempted by more than what’s on the menu at his award-winning restaurant.

Well, what a delectable discovery this was. What’s not to love? A Irishman, a Scotsman, rugby and whisky all with a romantic cherry on top.

description For years, I’d avoided my desires—focused my attentions elsewhere—but now that I’d acted on that curiosity, I didn’t know if I could deny that part of myself any longer.”

Break Down is a story of friendship, acceptance and of course, love. Having had a bit of a time of it of late following being blackmailed, Liam Donnelly is finding his feet in Edinburgh af

The blurb tapped into my inner sports nut even though I know fuckall about rugby aside from that Friends episode when Ross thought he was going to impress his Brit girlfriend then squealed. Doesn’t matter though, sports romances are my kryptonite. Add in a chef and…

DONE!

This is the fourth book in what up to now has been a MF series but can be read as a standalone. Liam is a pro rugby player and is coming to terms with being bisexual. He had a drunken encounter then the guy turned around

Passionate, provocative, and deliciously steamy!

Break Down is a sultry, sports romance featuring the confused, closeted, sexy Liam and the mature, confident, supportive Lachlan as they discover that the heart wants who the heart wants and that some things are definitely worth fighting for.

The prose is fervent and crisp. The characters are multi-faceted, vulnerable, and endearing. And the plot is an alluring mix of sizzling tension, palpable chemistry, heartfelt emotion, mouth-watering fare, spor

Sport.

MM romance.

Duh?!
😉

Well, at first glance, I thought it would be steamy as hell, and well, just steamy as hell, and I would feel like I always feel when I read about MM stuff - "left out"

yeah, Samuel, i feel ya, man, I feel ya...it's a man fuck only ...LOL

BUT aside all my sarcasm, people, this is a story of a rugby player Liam Donnelly who transferred from a Dublin rugby club to Edinburgh, cause of a blackmail issue, concerning his private sexual relation with a

Seriously? What did you "bait" your breath with? Cheese, like a mousetrap? Earthworms, like a fishhook?

Straight up, this is one of the best romances I’ve read in a long time. There’s so much I enjoyed in this story I’m at a loss where to start. Oh Liam... how my heart went out to him having to leave his home and his friends and start afresh in another country with a new team, all because of the fear of being outed. Now in Edinburgh, still struggling with his sexuality, the last thing he expects is to meet Lachlan MacLeod.

The tension between them was palpable and it just felt so real; the emotiona

This was my first Rebecca Norinne book and I enjoyed it immensely. It was a fast and very enjoyable read. It had its fair share of angst, love, fun and it was truly the perfect MM romance that I had been craving.

I loved getting to know Liam and Lachlan but also all Liam's friends and team players (both past and present) and I know I'm gonna love the rest of the series. Also I loved getting bits of Edinburgh, the language, the culture, the scenery. Can't wait to keep reading

Finally a m/f series that branched into a m/m story that I really liked. This felt like the author wasn't just here for the view, but was sold on the property and was here to build. I haven't read the other books, but I've got to admit, the little bit of backstory we got was intriguing and out of all the m/f to m/m authors I've read lately, this one comes the closest to making want to read the other books.

Like most m/m sports themed romances this was heavy on the coming out quandary and of cour

Sooo I did a thing.
Again.
I read a book in a series without reading the previous ones, which I know isn’t a total faux pas, but considering I am one of those that does believe in reading a series in order, it’s a thing. But I do have valid reasons for jumping into the mix with soon to be released one:

1) Rugby (I know, it’s a rugby series, but bear with me)
2) Hot chef (I am a foodie ~ which in my world means I simply love to eat and drink)
3) MM Romance!!

Any of the three separately

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book.

Breakdown is emotionally intense and heartfelt and sexy as hell! It reads well as a standalone, but as there are some mild plot spoilers for the previous books, if you plan on reading the series I recommend that you read them in order. Rebecca Norinne handled the plight of a closeted professional athlete with care and sensitivity (Liam's fear and anxiety was palpable, as was his affection for Lachlan), in addition to portraying the diffic

Usually when it comes to a M/M romance, most of people wrickle their noses. Because is so easy to judge and put an label on it as something awful and gross. Do not forget love has no sex. Rebecca Norinne has written another great story don't giving a damn about taboo or stereotypes. Liam and Lachlan will show you the other side of love. because with them love is not just red, love is a beautiful rainbow. 5+ stars for this amaaaaazeballs book.

(Note: No need to read the rest of the series to get what’s going on. The characters were recurring but the story flows well without having to read the rest of the series.)

No pun intended.

Liam and Lachlan. Damnnn they were good together. I loved Lachlan’s policy that he wouldn’t go back into the closet for another guy. No matter what. That kind of strength is admirable. And the end where Liam finally gets his head out of his arse was perfect.

Just perfect.

5 star shaped doses of the feels for BREAK DOWN!

When Dublin Rugby player Liam Donnelly is given a lowball offer from the team after 10 years and an injury that kept him sidelined for awhile, he knows he's at a crossroads. He can give up the game he loves, or he can accept an offer to play for Edinburgh, and an opportunity to start fresh. After being blackmailed by the first man he's ever been intimate with, Liam is terrified to act on his desires, but maybe, just maybe, moving to Scotland will

This book y'all.

When I told people I was writing Liam's story, a few people looked at me cross-eyed. He'd been such a minor character in the books leading up to this one, and they had no idea why he warranted his own story. But I knew. From the beginning, this book has been waiting. And waiting. And waiting. I love Liam so, so much, and I knew he had to have a strong, tenacious counterpart. Writing Liam and Lachlan's story tested everything I thought I knew about myself as a writer. I know auth

What do you get when you take a hot rugby star who is sexually confused and add in a sexy, chef who knows what he wants? An excellent read! That's what. Liam loves women, but he also might love men. He's pretty sure he does, but after a single encounter with another man ends in blackmail, he takes a trade offer and joins the team from Edinburgh. This was such a great book. The struggle that Liam and Lachlain go through will tug at your heart strings. There is soo much emotion in this book and I could not put it down.

I was completely and utterly blown away by this book. First, let me just say: I have yet to read the first three books in Rebecca Norinne’s “Dublin Rugby” series * GASP * Shocking, yes, I know. I just jumped right into “Break Down,” not giving a crap about any back story. The author promised that it could be read as a stand alone, and by god, she’s right. Second, let me add: I freakin’ loved it.

“Break Down” is an M/M tale. And, if yo

While M/M romance is typically not my genre, this series has been amazing so far so I had to read it. This book is as awesome as the rest of the series. Love is love, and Liam's story had to be told. Liam is struggling with his sexuality, and trying to keep his life private. When he gets traded to a new team in a new country, he thinks it might be what he needs. Meeting Lachlan is a surprise he doesn't see coming.

In all honesty I didn’t know if I was going to read this book. I had read all of the Dublin Rugby series so far. In fact Trying Sophie was one of my favorite books that I read in 2017. But I just wasn’t sure if I wanted to read a M/M romance. But I felt like the series wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t read it. So when I was offered an ARC for an honest review I decided to give it a go. And by the end of the book I was glad I did. I really enjoyed Liam’s story. It’s another love story but he has ...more

*4.5* I absolutely fell in love with Liam and Lachlan. They're both strong, alpha men that have great careers. Liam can't figure out why he isn't ever satisfied with his relationships. I mean he knows but he won't admit it until one night. One night that is a disaster.

Fast Forward to a new town and in just one instant everything changes for him. I could feel every emotion that he was going through and feel his difficulty in trying to do what he thought was right.

This was not only a beautiful love story but a journey of hope, struggle and the long road to self acceptance.  This is book 4 in the Dublin Rugby series and can be read as standalone.

After giving into temptation, of the manlovin’ variety 😊, rugby player Liam Donnelly ends up being betrayed and blackmailed.  All he can do is watch helplessly as his life starts falling apart. In the aftermath, Liam is uncertain of his future and when given the chance to play in Edinburgh he jumps at the opport

Liam always wondered what being with another man would be like. One night he took a chance and got blackmailed for it. His rugby career stalled because of an injury he's not sure what's next for him. A chance to play for another team in another country seems to be the answer to his problem. A start over and a way to leave his blackmailer behind.

Lachlan, chef and owner of a very in demand restaurant, is out and proud of his life. The night Liam walks in and sets down at his bar, his life changes

Through three previous books Ms. Norinne has pulled readers into the exotic world of rugby, made us sweat and bleed alongside these muscular and manly athletes in stories that have thoroughly entertained me. With this fourth installment readers get a new view as the action’s moved to Edinburgh with a new set of teammates for the aging Liam Donnelly to get to know. It’s a difficult time for the normally jovial player though as he’s not only dealing with the end of his career on the horizon, but i ...more

Amazing! Rebecca Norinne did it again, crafting a masterpiece with Liam and Lachlan's story in "Break Down", her new installment in the Dublin Rugby series.
A wonderful tangle of need, feelings, passion, sensuality but also vulnerability, and it's impossible not falling in love with the two protagonists.
This is also a challenge won by this author, who has focused the spotlight on what still remains a taboo: being gay in the world of sport and especially in one of the most "manly" sports, such as
