While dry and repetitive, it made some good points on globalization. Chapters 1, 2 and 4 were good and the rest could have been left out.

Hanson spent too much effort explaining the history about information and telecommunications, on how they rose to be so powerful and use everyday. The author lacks in explaining the impact on how the information revolution have affected world politics and diplomacy.
