Hermione Granger couldn’t help but think that no matter how difficult they had all figured rebuilding their society would be, no one was expecting anything quite like this. It was another stark reminder that just when things were finally starting to level out, they would never truly have peace and stability. Her entire life in the magical world had been full of shocks and stumbles, and this one seemed like the biggest of them all.
A post-war Dramione marriage law fic... with a twist!
4.25 stars. I really liked this marriage law trope with a difficult twist. I wish they had given us a little bit more of the law twist they found out, but overall it was really good.
Marriage law but with a really fascinating twist. As soon as the twist came, I was hooked. I’ve personally never read marriage law done like this before and it added a bit of spice to a trope I already enjoy
Wow, this was really...REALLY good. Loved how the author used quotes from the classics in dialogues between Hermione and Draco, especially the quotes from Jane Austin´s books. I must say that some parts of the book got me pretty excited and giddy, some parts made me giggling like a teenage girl. It was a book that made sacrifice sleep after a long time. The writing style was a style of intelectual person who is pretty good with processing and conveying emotions. I dont really know how to describe it, but it was a writing style that got me into the reading "zone" when I was only focused on words running on the page, when I was deep in the story and felt strongly what was happening.
I dint expect anything superb, I thought it would be only one of the fanfics using marriage law trop, but I was so wrong. The twist at the beginning was something that stole my breath and made me thrilled to read more. I also appreciated it that it tried to look into some things closer to the realistic situation - here the magic matching the wizards could fail, the matching wasnt finding a soulmate, it was matching based on some criterias of officials, here the matching had flaws and Hermione was trying to overturn it which added another layer to the story. I mean it was focused only on the romance. And the ending? WOOOOW
I enjoyed the story overall. It was cute. The story had Draco and Hermione quoting poetry and literature to each other throughout. There were 2 plot points i had questions about (floo and how the wedding rings worked for everyone). Hermione had dark skin in this one and was a descendant of slaves, as referenced in the text. Like me I guess.

It's a Marriage Law AU, but different. The first several chapters are sloooooowww burn and I almost DNF before the Dramione kicks off, but once it gets going it is hot and good and the quote pride and prejudice and vonnegut and Lao tzu and Kahlil Gibran to each other. Also I love anything where Draco gets tattoos (extra plus for the language of flowers). GUEST STARS: Lunsy and Deamus!

4.75 Stars!! My first fanfic and it had me hooked! Read in 2 days and the only thing I would change would be the ending....just seemed a little too easy/sweet. But the beginning and plot were top notch! And overall I really enjoyed the relationships, plot, spics and HEA! ♥️
