This was in the back of another book and I couldn’t help but start with this one.

I liked Savannah and Jackson well enough. They’re both in a new situation and I enjoyed reading them figure it out. They do have some instant chemistry and fall in love in about a month, so there’s that.

Plot wise, it was fast moving because there wasn’t a lot of pages. The problem with novellas is that they’re just never fleshed out enough. I would have liked to have seen more romance and talking and getting to kn

Mail Order Cowboy is a novella in the Gold Valley series by Maisey Yates.

Jackson finds himself overwhelmed with the arrival of a new born baby on his door step. He’s a daddy and in need of help, so he hires a nanny.

Jackson and Savannah are easy to like. Both are doing what they can to find themselves and start over. They end up settling into life together in Jackson’s small cabin. During which they have to sort out their feelings towards each other and what they want for the future.

Jackson is shocked when he's left with a newborn. Ranching with a tiny baby is beyond difficult and he needs help. Enter Savannah. Her life became unbearable after her divorce. Life in a small town where your ex is well-known and has influence cut her out of a job, so the nanny position with room and board is perfect.

Neither Jackson nor Savannah expect the immediate intense attraction they feel as soon as they lay eyes on each other. Savannah is nursing some self-esteem issues, and Jac
The reader, Suzanne Elise Freeman was fine.

A sweet comfortably predictable little read/listen.
I liked that despite both being emotionally stunted from their childhoods, they learned how to love together.

Jackson and his brothers have never had good experience with love. A neglectful selfish father, a series of short-term stepmothers and (for Jackson) a stream of ONs. But he hasn't had a date in months, not since a ONs from a year ago dropped off his little bundle of Joy, Lily.

A little time with Yates's always time well spent. I enjoyed Mail Order Cowboy. It was a sweet little novella.

The Gist: Jackson? Well he's an overwhelmed new (single) daddy in need of some help. So he orders himself a nanny. Mmhm. He sure does. And whoboy does that shake things up on the home front.

I enjoyed Jackson and Savannah. They're a decent sort and easy to like. Both doing what they can when they find

Mail Order Cowboy features an incredibly sweet romance with a great group of characters and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Jackson Reid enjoys all life has to offer in the small town of Gold Valley which includes him with a new woman each night. When a past one-night stand shows up and hands him a baby she claims is his, his entire life changes. While Jackson adores his daughter, he knows when to admit he’s over his head and sets about hiring a nanny pronto. Savannah Sturm is happy for any position th

I read this novella at the end of Untamed Cowboy and I really enjoyed it! Savannah and Jackson were great together! I loved reading about them and also liked that it was a short story that worked out in the end. Also, just because it was a quick read doesn’t mean that it wasn’t packed with heat!

This was an extremely cute and steamy quick read. Definitely worth a read!

Presenting you another book in the single dad romance trope . It has pretty sweet romance but I just felt that yes the kid was there but author could have just given the kid part more focus or showed more dynamic it added to the main characters relationship. It involves the main guy who ends with a kid one fine day and after a few months trying to handle it on his own with his brothers and sister he tries getting a nanny . The main girl is from a different city betrayed by her husband and feelin ...more

At under 100 pages, this is a super quick read. That doesn’t take away from the story at all though. I really enjoyed this book and was rooting for Savannah and Jackson from the start. They were both just amazing people and deserved to be happy.

I know there are quite a few people out there that don’t read the .5 books in a series because they tend to be shorter and therefore have instalove. Believe it or not, this story did not feel like an instalove story. Part of that is the way the author wro

Jackson Reid is in shock when a woman he had a one-off hands him a baby girl and tells him she's his. After weeks of trying to keep doing his work and take care of the infant, he hires a nanny--by internet--in hopes her presence will make his life easier, if not like it used to be.

But the so-called "tall and plain" woman is beautiful and although he vows to keep his hands and other part off her, that plan goes away when she finally admits what her divorced husband said of her. Jackson knows it's

Jackson wasn't looking for a baby when an ex dropped off his daughter 3 months ago and split. But he is looking for a nanny to help him now.

Savannah is looking to get out of dodge so to speak and away from her ex husband and his entire brigade of followers. Answering Jackson's ad came at the perfect time to start over.

Jackson and Savannah blend quickly with Lily into their version of a family. She quickly realizes she is in love with Jackson and he with her though he is deathly afraid to admit t

Savannah Sturm is stunned when she sees the tall good-looking cowboy carrying a pink baby carrier heading her way in the airport. She realizes he is the man she will be woking for and fantasizing about. She told Jackson Reid that she was tall and plain but he sees a beautiful leggy blonde. He has to keep their relationship professional as she is hired to be his daughter’s nanny but it is going to be hard.

Jackson is known as the town man whore and he's never met a woman he hasn't had. Keeping his

Decent short novella. Jackson Reid has abandonment issues leading him to not want to bring a woman permanently into his and his baby daughter's life only to watch her leave them. Savannah Strom has self-esteem issues after five years of marriage to a self-centered man who apparently sucked in bed and left her believing it was her fault. Both were the usual Maisey Yates compelling likable characters that you wanted to root for getting their H.E.A. And being a novella it all happens pretty quickly ...more

Mail Order Cowboy 4.5/5 Stars!

I really loved this novella! Fast, Simple, and Sweet. I read it in one sitting while waiting for things to get finished around the house. It was a fun story, that had some very touching moments. One of my favorite things about this author is how she writes her character for her novellas. I have a hard time getting attached to characters in 100 pages or less, but with a Maisey Yates novel, I fall for the characters every time.

Can't wait to read more in the series!!

Nice short novella, part of the Gold Vally series but written as a stand-alone. Savannah has been hired as a live in nanny by Jackson. He has only had Lily for a couple of months, her mother stopped by Jackson’s ranch and left Lily with him. Savannah was divorced 8 months before starting to work for Jackson. She thinks of herself as plain and frigid because that is what her ex-husband told her. Jackson sets out to show her this is not true. They both think that they can keep things professional ...more

Taking a chance on love

Finding he's a new father with the mother of his baby no where in sight, Jackson hires a live in nanny.
But the beautiful woman who takes the job isn't what he expected, including the instant attraction.
Can a hard working, hard loving cowboy trust this beautiful woman to take care of his heart? A short read with a steady pace to an HEA. As always, Yates writes an engaging love story.

Absolutely love this series.Jackson grew up thinking no one stayed so, he would not let himself love until, one night a baby got dropped in his arms and its Mother left. Savannah grew up in loveless home and went to loveless marriage. After he cheated they divorced and she answered ad for Nanny to baby girl. Turns out that she was just what Jackson and Lily needed as ell as he was what she needed.

I really enjoyed Savannah and Jackson's story. Jackson is unprepared when a woman shows up at his door with a baby, and she says she can't deal with it and runs off. Jackson posts an ad for a nanny and Savannah answers. She works out great until Jackson can't keep his hands off her. She falls hard and he has to think fast. Strong characters and good story line.

Jackson Reid copes the best he can with a surprise baby and hires a nanny by mail, expecting her to be tall and plain as described....only to find her beautiful, kind and mentally scarred by her ex-husband.
The pair heal each other in a sweet western romance set on his family's ranch.
