Read an advanced copy, book will be published in Nov. A must read or great Christmas gift for anyone who enjoyed military fiction. Takes a very real world view of potential conflict in the Middle East. Really did a good job mixing the story line without getting bogged down with technical jargon.
Kept me engaged through out the book. A marvelous story teller.

The dark waters of the Mediterranean give way to the sandy beach and in turn the sandy dunes. From the sea comes the Marines, led by First Lieutenant Samuel Erickson, a brave young man struggling to fulfill the legacy of his late father. It's a drive that will push Sam into one gravely dangerous encounter after another. From the sand dunes of the desert

Won this as a giveaway. Not my usual genre. Mixed feelings personally for the brutality, but truthfully this is where the world is today. I just wouldn't have chosen to fill my mind with this if i didn't owe a review. Scary how someone can write about this so accurately. I still have anxiety from it. Good stories open our minds to new ideas as well as entertain us. Definitely worth the read.

I am a fan of military themed books. This book makes a fan like me very happy. It is full of action, engaging characters, and a strong storyline.
I did not have a favorite character as I did like them all. It was like a movie playing in my head the whole time that I was reading this book. It felt like I was transported to the Middle East...running for my life while dodging bullets, surviving; while trying to capture the enemies.
