Abby Thompson’s love life is a disaster. Everyone around her is blissfully falling in love, while she’s busy binge watching anime. The last thing she needs is a walking temptation, in the form of ex-nerd turned dreamy astrophysics professor, Spencer Hill, aka her new client.

It’s her job to find Spencer his dream home, NOT fantasize about a ride on his space rocket. But the

Absolutely agree with Leonor.

I expected Abby to be more self-confident. She was still good, not a doormat!!!
He was just ok. Cute guy, but so slow... I thought he'd never dare to make a move...

Gideon... OMG. Was he adopted?

I enjoy this author's writing a lot.
Please DON'T let this manho/Gideon's heroine be a virgin or inexperienced girl.
Pretty please!!!

This was just ok for me... Spencer was kinda cute in a nerdy kinda way but for a person who's supposed to be a genius he's pretty dense!!
Abby was just ok.. I got tired of her insecurities, she didn't seem like she was an insecure person in the previous books, And I actually didn't feel any chemistry between them, maybe it's just me.

I still think Asher is the best and no one can take his spot. #Asherismyman.

Spencer Hill is an astrophysicist working at the university in his old home town in New Hampshire. Abby Thompson is the peppy younger sister to Noah and Asher from the first two books. Acquaintances back in high school, when Spencer needs a realtor, his mother knows who to call.

Like the heroes in the series books before him, Spencer is an upstanding guy—a real gentleman.

“I’m not going to make her jealous, and I’m not going to force myself on her.”

I already loved Abby a bit from the previous two books, but I love her even more in this book. Here we get to see what makes her u

A nerdy side of romance that was a delight to indulge in.

Fix my Fall by Carey Heywood is the third book in her The Fix series and one that shouldn’t be missed if you love sweet, romantic novels with a hint of humor. This is a standalone, however, you obtain glimpses of both Abby and Spencer in the previous books, Fix Her Up and Fix Me Not plus other characters from the well known Thompson family interchange throughout.

First there was Noah, and I loved him unconditionally.
No one was going to touch him.
Then came Asher. In a shocking turn of events, Asher trumped Noah for me.
I literally didn't want anyone else to read Fix Me Not, because I did not want to share him.
So, my expectations going into Fix My Fall were low. Would I like Spencer? Probably. I mean, Carey Heywood wrote him, afterall.
But would I *LOVE* him? Love him more than Asher?!
Haha. Hahahahaha.
Never.

...I was wrong.

My quite fond of the Thompson family, they’re a good, fun break from my usual dense, heartrending reads. I know when I start one of these books I’m going to get a few hours of sweet, enjoyable romance. It’s like going home after a particularly arduous work week or even heading off for a day of pampering when you’ve been momming it 24/7 for months on end. Carey Heywood’s Fix series is a safe, comforting place to return to.

This is the 3rd book in the Fix series, and can be read as a stand alone - but why would you want to miss any of the Thompson family fun?

Abby is the only Thompson daughter and doesn't like showing any weakness like asking her family for help. I get that, we all want to prove ourselves.

Enter the blast from the past Spencer, who is now a sexy scientist and she is still everything he ever wanted.

I loved that they didn't just jump into bed together. They have a real

I am a SUCKER for an awkward nerd and Spencer Hill fits that bill so perfectly. Carey Heywood's The Fix series has not let me down yet. Strong, independent heroines. Sexy, sweet heroes, that are a little on the shy side, but a LOT on the alpha side when given the opportunity and the privacy. And Spencer and Abby's story doesn't disappoint.

Abby Thompson is the only girl among four brothers. Overbearing. Sometimes caveman-ish. But they are ALWAYS there for her when she needs them. And when her ho

Returning to the Thompson family was like coming home – over the course of the series I’ve grown to love this family, and will be sad when it’s over.
Abby played the role of supportive sister-turned-friend in both Fix Her Up and Fix Me Not, and I was desperate to read her story and see her get her HEA. I ended up reading it in one sitting because it was just. That. Good! Abby and Spencer are definitely my favourite couple!

Fix My Fall is the third book in the Fix series by Carey Heywood. The books while all interconnected are complete standalones. First Carey gave us Noah and Findley love story, then we got Asher and Paige's, now we get Noah and Asher's little sister Abby and an astrophysicist Named Spencer. I ADORE this series!!

Spencer Hill is a SEXY astrophysicist, just moving back home living in his parents basement until he can find a home to buy. In steps Abby.

Do DNF books count as read these days? Oh well, my Goodreads challenge, my life.

This book had so much promise but ultimately didn't live up to the hype. Considering I paid $4 it, I was planning on finishing it, but by 50% it was worse than watching paint try. The characters were flat, there was so much useless text and inner dialogue and pointless sentences. Half the time I couldn't tell if I was reading Abby or Spencer's chapters their voices were so similar and there was absolutely no chemistr

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author. This is the third book in this series and yes it can be read as a standalone but you will missing out since these books are talking about siblings. Spencer's whole life revolves around working he does not have time for love. He is back home and his mother wants him to help out his ex-girlfriend Abby. Abby and Spencer were both good characters. I absolutely adored Spencer. He was a sweetheart, and had this sexy nerd thing going on. He’d had a crush on Abby since high school but was always too nervous to ask her out. Abby had a great family and big brothers who loved and protected her. She was attracted to Spencer, but was scared he didn’t feel the same way. There were a couple of times I wanted to reach in my Kindle and tell these two to open their eyes. Luckily Abby’s friend Sam took care of ...more

Spencer's thoughts although distinguished could still be caveman at times, “tonight?” That long? Christ, I want to throw her over my shoulder right now and carry her right up to that loft bed." Spencer is like the voice of reason at times, "He laughs at how pathetic I sound. “You can pee and come get back into bed.” I really liked this book, I loved Spencer and Abby.

I was really looking forward to reading about Abby Thompson after getting little snippets of her in the previous two books. I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I hoped I would or as much as the previous two in the Fix series. At the beginning I felt like she tried to make Spencer over the top geeky. Then as the book went on that geekiness was a bit more subdued which I liked better. I liked Abby just as I did in the other books and by the end I liked Abby and Spencer together. This is the first book I have read from this author and I have learned there are more of the Thompson family books, so now I am going to have to add those books to my ever long TBR (that will eventually get read). This book was a fun, light, good romance read. It just what I needed!!! I found myself loving Spencer and his nerdy ways.

Fix my Fall by Carey Heywood is the third book in her The Fix series and this book is just a lighthearted, good read with only light angst. It is not a heavy read, more of a sweet romance. Spencer Hill is a astrophysicist who lives and breathes his job. He has recently moved back home and his mother has enlisted Abby Thompson to help him find the perfect home. Only thing is, she is his former girlfriend from when they were in high school and the crush he never got over. There was sparks immediat

This book was absolutely adorkable.

High school nerd Spencer is all grown up, back in town after years, working as an astrophysicist at the local college -- and desperate to get out of his parents' basement. Abby, who he had a crush on as a teen, is one of the local realtors. In between house hunting, the two develop a genuine friendship — as well as a genuine attraction. But Spencer can't imagine that Abby sees him as anything more than the dork he was back when he was her brother's tutor, and A

Carey's books always make me smile. She creates such sweet and loving characters that I would happily call my friends. And with this story, she added one of my favorite type of heroes—the awkward nerd.

Spencer was that dorky brainiac who didn't peak until college, which led to his lack of self-assuredness when it came to social situations. This seemed to be even more so once he was back in the orbit of his high school crush, Abby. Likewise, Abby struggled with her own awkwardness because she had

I have read a few things from Carey Heywood before and enjoyed them and thought that this book sounded different from the ones that I had read before. Fix My Fall was more of a light-hearted romance that did not have much angst or drama which I enjoyed. I also enjoyed that it wasn't overly sexual which helped me to believe that the characters had a strong relationship. It was different than the norm in that regard.

Fix My Fall by Carey Heywood is a book that’s somewhat hard for me to categorise. I’ve settled on part sweet romance / part subdued romance.

Abby Thompson is a realtor; a homeless one thanks to a sinkhole in her backyard. She crosses paths with Spencer Hill when he hires her to find him a home upon his return to his hometown. Spencer has been crushing on Abby since high school but she was out of his league in many ways so nothing ever came of it.

Abby remembers Spencer, but high school Spencer is

The characters and the whole story just add so much humor and sweetness. I fell in love with both Abby and Spencer quickly. Both met in high school, one was an uber nerd the other a popular girl. Years later Spencer returns home and hires Abby as his realtor. He's always had a crush on her and soon they start dating.
