I liked this story. It is very readable, and a great page turner. Because the chapters are nice and short (but to the point), I kept thinking I will just read another one. Before I knew it I was half way through the book.

This book is more about building the new world. We learn about the characters, their races, and their world. Also about some of their powers, weaknesses, philosophies, prophecies and the characters. The book is more of an introduction to the coming war, despite a many deaths the

For a minute, I thought I would just drop it. But the book turned out quite good.

- dragons dragons dragons
- a cute tree spirit that loves chocolate
- a dragon that wants to collect hot guys
- a likeable heroine
- politics, betrayals and stuff like that.

Wings of Ice is not perfect. It lacks in world building, in action and in awesomeness, and it's a bit cliché. But it's a good read, it's entertaining, has potential and I can't wait to read more. And it has dragons, duh

Intense but I totally saw the bad guy coming.

Wings of Ice was an interesting take on a dragon shifter romance book. In it, you will meet Isola. She's an ice dragon princess who can't control her dragon (yet) but she's also someone you don't want to mess with. She's in constant danger because fire dragons want to kill her and her dad to end some weird ass dragon curse.

Along the way, she starts to fall for her guardians.. which is definitely forbidden. Out of all the guardians, I loved Elias the m

Couldn't get into this novel. The opening scenes that lead to Isola returning to her home planet were shallow and short-changed. The words are there saying how heartbroken Isola is, but there isn't enough illustration to help the reader *feel* that heartbreak. I wasn't invested in either character. So having one of them die is like "oh well" [shrug]. The prologue was also devoid of emotion. Again, though the words were there, the illustration was clinical and removed. So I'm absolutely not inter ...more

Just not for me. Confusing and weird. I fell out of the story too many times wondering about reality. Like, how can she place someone's sister if she only knew the sister for three months when she was 8? Or WTF is up with the prologue? Too many "huhs."

This was a really fun and fast paced read! I love reading about dragons/dragon shifters and haven’t nearly gotten my fill yet with the dragons in this world. Really Loved reading about them and can’t wait to read more because there’s still so much that needs to be explored and explained.

A fun story line and the writing was really addictive. I was finished before I knew it and I’m left aching to get my hands on book 2 seeing it ends with a cliffhanger.

Liked the characters and the (romantic) bon

Isola Dragice(how am I supposed to pronounce this? Drag-Ice? Drag-eece?) is one of the last ice dragons after her to be mate Jace is murdered. She's a princess who's been sent to Earth from Dragca by her father for her own safety. Of course once Jace is murdered she goes back to Dragca to the Academy for... well I'm not exactly sure. Training ostensibly but with all the drama who can tell. There she meets her future RH. All good on that front. Unfortunately Isola, a future queen btw, is willfull ...more

I have read a few series by G. Bailey, but this one has to be my all time favorite.

Isola is about to take the throne on Dragca but someone is out to kill her and the few ice dragons left. Four personal Dragon Guards are put on her. As they get closer they can't be together due to a curse her family put on the Dragon Guards.

I was thinking the bad guy was going to be someone else but now that I look back on it, it is clear who it was.

Oh and the lovely cliffhanger, I do enjoy a cliffhanger... NOT!!

This as a pretty enjoyable book. I've read another of G Bailey's reverse harem series and I absolutely loved it. This is no different. Although I really enjoyed this book and I ended up really loving all the characters I felt like not much really happened in this book? Idfk.

Anywho, Issy is the last ice princess. She was brought to Earth to live to keep her safe because there is a war happening between the Ice Dragons and the Fire Dragons. Issy's mom was murdered by a fire dragon and then her fat

This got really good towards the end, and the second one is set up to be amazing! Issy comes back after being in the human world, and she meets her dragon guards, but they are cursed so they can't even like each other. The end of this book really picks up the pace and a ton of stuff happens, it was so good. Also, Eli is my favorite.

This a really good start to a Fantasy series.
The story is enjoyable and gives a good introduction into the main characters.

I've been waiting to read this book for a while since I first saw a teaser posted from it. Then when I read the blurb I got even more excited and thought, this is my kind of story. Oh how right I was, Wings of Ice really is my kind of book and I loved it. It's got Dragons galore, and Dragons are my favouritist things. It's got some super hot guys, I mean daaaaam has it got hot guys and they're dark, deadly and dangerous too but deep down you just know they've got hearts of gold for the right wom ...more

Electronic ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was . . . not to my taste. I found the worldbuilding to be incoherent, to the point where I had to double-check that this wasn't a later book in the series. Characters were thinly-drawn, and the dialogue needed a lot of work; nobody had a distinctive 'voice' and the characters often seemed to blur together. Without strong characters I couldn't care about the protagonist's fate, and the romance failed to gel. I had trouble

Well, I wasn't expecting that twist in the book! Now what I want to know is when will the next book be out? You can't leave me hanging this way. Hahahaha.

You had me at dragons, to be honest. Out of all the paranormal-fantasy creatures, dragons are my favorite. But aside from this being a book involving dragons, I reall,y really liked the world-setting. I liked Isola and her men. I really loved Bee. I want to see Isola get her HEA and I can't wait to find out what happens in book 2!

OMFG why did I wait too read this book. Once I started reading I didn’t want to put my kindle down. Between curses and sexy dragons and trying to figure out who turned Isola’s world upside down, I was hooked. I’m dying to read book 2 because I need to know what’s going too happen next.

Let me start by saying I adore all things dragons, seriously...I'm obsessed, and when I stumbled across this book I was totally down for it on the pretense of dragons alone. Then, I started reading it, and loved the idea even more.

This story starts out following a dragon girl named Isola living in the human world to be kept safe, when things turn 'unsafe' for her she is then brought back to her own home world to be better protected. Isola is not only a dragon, but she is also a princess, the la

This is 290 pages of intrigue and everyone is out to win and rule over Dragca, but not as long as the princess, Isola, is alive. I loved the pace, the story (because dragons are my favorite mythical creatures) and where would this be without four different guys swooning over Isola?
It’s the first book in the Protected by Dragons series and what a great start to the story, because if this is how you get my attention, then I’m so hoping you keep it all through the remaining books! I can’t wait to s

Really enjoyed the start to this new series by G Bailey. Isola is the heir to the dragon throne, living in the human world with her mate until time for her to take over. Things take an unexpected turn though. She's now at "dragon school" to learn what she's missed out on all her life until it's safe for her to take over. She's given 4 guards to protect her. When you spend that much time with someone it's hard not to develop feelings for anyone but in this case, the curse states that it's forbidd ...more

Wings of Ice (Protected by Dragons, #1)
I loved it. I couldn't stop daydreaming about it during and after I read it. I firmly believe this is a must-read. Isola, princess of Dragca, was a determined and strong woman. She can be an inspiration for you to stand up for yourself, for your beliefs, and for the people around you. And besides Isola, the concept of book was filled with so much fantasy. Fire Dragons and Ice Dragons. Tr

So Hats off to G. Bailey I had no idea who the Killer was till it was revealed at the very end. That takes some talent.
Sadly the book just wasn't for me. I was so lost. So many prophecies and side speak had me utterly confused. Fire and Ice and Ice of Fire and Death by Death to see Death of Ice of Fire... WTF?! Speak normal!
I did enjoyed the characters. Lots of Angst. Very YA Novel.

G. Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author of books that are filled with everything from dragons to pirates. Plus, fantasy worlds and breath-taking adventures. Oh, and some swoon-worthy men that no girl could forget. G. Bailey is from the very rainy U.K. where she lives with her husband, two children and three cheeky dogs.
