This the 4th book in the series was a bit of a surprise as I was all geared up to find out what happened to Avalon and her sister, but instead this book takes us back to a time where it all started going wrong and where the Government started its centralisation tactics! The story mainly focuses on Mitch and his family but it fills in many necessary details which had been missing so far in the larger picture. We get to see who suffered first when the environment started being decimated. The small ...more

Wow, what can I say? This series has been superbly written and wonderfully addictive. And now, rather than concluding, we get a prequel story that helps fill things in and is a well done story in itself. That’s to be expected from a string author like E.A. Darl (pen name for fave author Susan Faw). Mitch’s story was a good one and I’m looking forward to more of The Silent Lands Chronicles.
