I am rewriting my review for this amazing book! First I am very pleased with this book it had my 5 year old and myself excited to see what was going to be shown on the next page! The emotions in this book draw you in and make you feel right along with the little moonling! I am also very impressed with one of the authors in helping me with the issues I was having with my kindle copy! Tjaart Lehmachat, thank you! I will be reading more by this author and the others who also authored this book in t

I read this book via an Amazon-US KINDLE Unlimited download.
There are countless of Sci-Fi stories with us making contact with some sort of alien life form which is totally different than our own, and what happens if and when we do.
The author, Tjaart Lehmacher, has done this as the basic premise of this book, and then has his readers looking at our planet through the eyes of the alien in this book, Mond.
Aside from our astronauts, any alien [including Mond] looking at our planet would see a beauti ...more

This was a great read for my second graders. They just recently learned about the moon and it's different phases. So when I won this book, I thought it would be a great read for them. The story is about a moon rock and a little boy wondering about each others' world. The moon rock always wondered what the Earth would be like because it was a little bored on the moon. One day, the moon rock had an opportunity to visit earth and met a little boy who's father had rock samples of the moon and the mo

I think kids will love this book, with it's "The grass isn't greener on the other side' approach to life that teaches kids to appreciate what they have, rather than always longing for what they don't have.

a sweet story. my 4 year old quite enjoyed it. I personally could have done without the "earth is bad" opinion. but the moonling himself was adorably drawn.

This review was given to us by one of my author friends. Remember ‘The Little Prince’, ‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull’? I want to put ‘The Moonling’ right there amongst those priceless stories. Although aimed at young readers, who will undoubtedly thoroughly enjoy ‘The Moonling’ and learn a lot in the process, I am convinced adults will be as enthralled with this lovely little book.

What an amazing book! My 4 year old son loved the story and the odd little moonling character. He had lots of questions about the moon and the astronauts since this is the first book we read on space. Not many books on this topic, especially on the moonling that we all grew up with that now has a face and personality.

Loved this book. I won a kindle copy in a giveaway and will be buying a hard copy for my grandchildren. The story is about an alien from the moon wanting to come to earth and a boy from earth wanting to go to the moon. They happen to meet and as the Moonling comes to see the earth up close and what humans are doing to it, he wants to go back to his home on the moon. However, in the 2 meeting and discussing the earth, the boys love for the earth along with a desire to care for it is awakened. Exc

To be quite honest, 'The Moonling' was a family effort in every sense of the word – to begin with; the story was our late grandmother’s idea, in addition to stumbling upon the story 'The man from the moon' the daughter furthermore shared it with her own child and grandchild who saw this simple but compelling story as an opportunity to save this place we call home. 'The Moonling' is the grandson an
