Now, injuries have permanently benched him. Body and pride wounded, he returns to his hometown ranch to find that a lot has changed. The one thing that hasn't? His feelings for high scho

Caught Up in a Cowboy is book one in the brand new series, Cowboys of Creedence by Jennie Marts. I have read several of Jennie’s books and never fail to fall in love with her characters. I was especially excited about this new series and it most definitely did not disappoint.

Rockford James and Quinn Rivers had grown up together, their ranches neighboring each other. They were high school sweethearts, each other’s first loves, first everythings. They knew each other so well, they

This is my second read of Jennie Marts and it won't be my last. She has taken the second chance troupe and given it a sports/western spin... with a woman worried to let herself love again.

They were young... and he made the mistake of thinking he was all that and a bag of chips when it came to starting his Hockey career...

He left her high and dry.

A cowboy who is a hockey player? It’s like I’ve gone to heaven!

When this author has a new cowboy read, I’m elbowing my way to the front of the line. Rockford and Quinn bring love and family once again in a sweet second chance that brought so many happy surprises…

“Nine years ago, Quinn Rivers had given him her heart as well. Too bad he’d broken it.”

Rock and Quinn’s history was long ago but Rock, older and wiser, realized early on what he so callously threw away. With another chance to gain back

You like cowboy and you like hockey players? Why choose when you can have both with this book ;p

Rockford James and Quinn Rivers have been best friend since they were very young and became sweetheart and lovers in their teenage years. But when Rock was recruited by the NHL, he let it go to his head and decided that his small town girlfriend wasn't cool enough for him. Heartbroken, the young woman try to console herself with a one-night stand that might have seem like a mistake but it gave her the

Caught Up in a Cowboy was such a fun, heartwarming story!
I loved how quickly we jumped in and I found myself completely captivated by Quinn and Rock. Their back story, their family, and their run ins all had my full attention. And with moments of sexiness, heartache, and laughter all tied together, it made for such a charming book!
It didn’t matter how many sparkles of heat shot through her or how ridiculously muscled his arms were or how his offer of peace between them filled

Overall, this was a sweet, light read. Quinn is a single mother living at home with her father and brother raising her son, a product of a one-night-stand nine years ago. She's been left behind by her childhood sweetheart, Rock, who left their hometown to pursue a career in hockey. Usually when Rock visits home, he gets the cold shoulder from Quinn; this time, however, he finds a way to weasel himself into her life for a bit. He's been injured during a game and is fo

This is an entertaining book that I just loved. Rock is a flawed, but very real cowboy that left the ranch to play in the NHL, while leaving Quinn, the love of his life behind. Quinn never recovered from the broken heart he caused, when Rock is sent to the ranch to recover from a serious concussion.

Adult Rock regrets the immature actions of teenage Rock and has tried to become a better adult and make decisions not motivated by selfishness. Unfortunately, that leaves Quinn caught in the crosshai

Caught Up in a Cowboy by Jennie Marts is the first book in her new series Cowboys of Creedence and I loved it.

It was sweet, fun, emotional and heartwarming second chance romance.
I loved Rock and Quinn together, they had amazing chemistry and watching them open their hearts, forgive past mistakes and love each other unconditionally warmed my heart.

Author Jennie Marts has given us great characters, a strong enjoyable storyline in Caught Up in a Cowboy and I can't wait to read more of the
What a heartwarming second chance romance this proved to be, complete with a delightful eight year old, cowboys, a conman, injured hockey player and plenty of angst and turmoil to make it a real page turner - loved it! He left town nine years ago, rarely returning and left behind his high school sweetheart, Quinn Rivers. Heartbroken, soon after he left she had too much t ...more

Rockford James left his small hometown and high school sweetheart behind when a full ride scholarship and the NHL came calling. Nine years later, he returns home to recover from an injury that sidelined him.

Quinn Rivers, in rebound defiance, had a one night stand, with a complete loser that resulted in her son Max. She stayed on her family’s ranch to raise him. She lost her mom in grade school and was raised by her dad and brother, both overly protective.

Oh! I just love cowboy romance, but mixing the cowboy with a hockey player?? Truly amazing!!!! I adored these characters. Rock was such an intense character and it was great to see his journey. I love Quinn and Max. To have the heartbreak and tough years alone, they deserved the outcome of this HEA. It was just a beautiful, funny, hot, and heartfelt story. I'll be looking for more from this author! I'm so glad to have read it.

Rock and Quinn were childhood best friends and then High School sweethearts,, until he left for College and a NHL career. Breaking her heart.

So yes he did leave and yes they should at least have tried to make it work. But then they were kids and idiots. It's more like he should not have broken it off and she should have fought for him.

Right so they meet again years later. He is nursing injuries and taking it easy.

This is an incredible story of first love, heartbreak, and forgiveness. A second chance romance that will tickle your funny bone and warm your heart at the same time.

Rock is a hockey playing cowboy (what's not to love?) who returns home to find that while some things have changed the intense feelings he has for Quinn have not. If anything the attraction has grown stronger than ever. Now Rock just has to convince Quinn he's willing to do whatever it takes to get another chance.

Rock gave up on his past to score a brighter future. Quinn was a casualty of his pride, that left him with a ton of regret and her with a broken heart. But circumstances change and so do people. Will the maturity he lacked in the past, help him regain the heart he desires most? How do you mend a broken heart? By proving you deserve a second chance. Ms. Marts tickles the funny bone as she sets out to warm the heart. Caught up in a Cowboy shows the value of forgiveness and the healing power of lov ...more

I'm a bit of an anomoly in that cowboy heroes are a bit hit or miss for me, but because this hero was also a professional hockey player, I figured it was worth the risk. And I was right! Caught Up in a Cowboy was my first read by this author, and I was completely charmed by the easy writing style, and the engaging storytelling.

This is the first book I've read by this author, and I can honestly say I'm now a true fan or her writing. The story started off strong right out if the gate, the visual of Quinn was absolutely hilarious as seen through Rock's eyes. The authors ability to bring life to the characters and their surroundings is a gift, using her well crafted words to paint a perfectly clear picture in my mind's eye made the story even more realistic. Can't wait to see if Jennie Marts will continue this series with Rockford's brothers or Quinn's brother...either way I will definitely read them!

Caught Up in a Cowboy was a quick read with a few twists and turns along the way. Sometimes the things we do as teenagers, the exaggerated self-importance, the risks we took and the hearts we broke come back to haunt us for a very long time. Rock and Quinn know that truth very well, they’ve lived it every single day since Rock left his small town and the girl he loved far behind in his quest for his dream, for fame and perhaps to prove himself. Now, nine years later, Rock has come home to recuperate from an injury and his future is very much up in

After being on the receiving end of a cheap shot on the ice Rockford James heads home to the family ranch to heal and get his mind right... and possibly re-unite with the woman who stole a piece of his heart years ago. Minutes after arriving in town he comes face to face with his girl, when he spots her alongside the road, pedaling a child's bicycle ...more

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

Rock was young and impulsive when he decided to leave his long time girlfriend for the big leagues of hockey. He knew that he wanted to pursue that and also knew what that would entail... travel, girls, fame and fortune. What he didn't realize was how much he was going to miss Quinn. She was the love of his life and despite his impulsivity, I think deep down

This second chance at romance really shows what happens when a person acts on impulse and lives to regret the decisions they made.

Rockford James, an up and coming hockey player, decides to tackle life as a pro hockey player as a single man rather than taking his long time girlfriend with him. You get the sense that he regrets his decisions almost immediately but when he comes home he finds that his girlfriend has moved on

“You weren’t just my girl; you were my best friend. And I remember everything.”

Charming, easy and enjoyable—quite simply, that’s how I would describe Caught Up in a Cowboy.

I’ve read and loved many books by Jennie Marts, so I went into this one confident I was going to have a good time. And I did. Rock and Quinn’s relationship rekindles amid sparks of… something, and it was kind of addictive to see them come together.

And it was definitely addictive seeing this cowboy-slash-hockey player warm up

A mix of a sports story with a cowboy country setting. Rockford James is a cowboy at heart, having grown up in a little town, on a farm, with a steady girl until his dream of playing professional hockey comes true. He leaves the little town, the farm, and his steady girl to follow that dream. Young Rock plans to live the high life and never look back. What he doesn't plan is to leave his heart back home.

Quinn is that small town girl that loved Rock with all she had until he left her behind. Want

As a fan of books about sexy cowboys and sports romances this definitely hits the spot. Whilst the sport is not current, it has affected the whole of Rock's life, and in all honesty, Quinn's too.

This second chance romance, between two neighbours who grew up together and then split as Rock went off the play hockey, ultimately for the NHL, is beautifully done. There are plenty of funny moments, most especially when Rock c

I hadn’t read a book by Ms Marts and am so glad I decided to give her a try. Because I absolutely loved this story.
The book centers around Rockford/Rock James and Quinn Rivers.
These two were best friends in their childhood and later sweethearts in HS. When he gets a scholarship and a chance to play hockey , he leaves Quinn behind thinking she wouldn’t want to leave town . Quinn is left heartbroken and after a one nightstand with a no good guy, she ends up pregnant.
Now an NHL star, Rock is home

Rock is such a complicated character who grows so much over the course of this book. It is so good to see how a charcter can grow from the self absorbed only really thinking of his needs in the beginning of the book to seeing how he was all about Quinn and her son by the end of the book. Oh goodness when they were by the lake and she broke out the old necklace Rock gave her when they were kids it was the sweetest moment. Then when he
