5 - "Christmas will be here before you know it!" Stars!

Annie got her groove back with the first book in her new Sweetwater Springs series. Christmas on Mistletoe Lane is some of her best writing, and it is a book you want to add to your Christmas TBR.

"Everything changes…"

It’s no secret I am a fan of this authors work, her first series; Hero’s Welcome is one I remember really fondly and hope to have time to re-read at some point in the future, while it’s follow-up; Blushing Bay left me scratching

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Christmas on Mistletoe Lane was an absolute GEM!

I was craving some Christmas-y goodness during the back to school blues, and this book hit the spot! Annie Rains has written one super cute novel that is a definite must read for romance lovers! Especially if you love those Hallmark Christmas movies like I do!

Christmas on Mistletoe Lane is a soft, sweet novel that moves at a fast enough pace to leave the reader breathless. It's a PG-13 novel (suggestive sex, no sexy scenes)

This book was exactly what I needed to kick off the holiday season. I know fall is just around the corner, but it’s this time of year when I like to cozy up with a good book and fall in love with the holidays all over again. That is exactly what Christmas on Mistletoe Lane by Annie Rains is–– a book about two people facing a massive change in their lives via the inheritance of a beautiful old bed-and-breakfast. Although this place needs some heavy TLC, these two characters, Kaitlyn and Mitch, wi ...more

I havent read many Christmas books in my life but of the ones that I have read, this one was by far my favorite. It read just like and gave me all the feels of a Hallmark Christmas movie, and those who know me know that im crazy obsessed with Hallmark movies. I definitely recommend this book for getting you into the Christmas spirit.

Warning! This book will jumpstart your holiday spirits.

Directions: Take one cup of hot cocoa or cappuccino, 3 or 4 homemade baked cookies with you to your couch. Be sure to be wearing your cozy pajamas and think slouch socks. Turn on Christmas music quietly. As soon as you get on the couch, drape that cozy blanket over you and pick this book up and start reading. Turn off your phone and as an optional do not disturb sign for your door will do.
What can I say? This book was perfect to get me start

After losing her job for unjust reasons, the news that she inherited her grandmother's bed-and-breakfast is very timely for Kaitlyn Russo. But she didn't expect to have to share ownership with a man she only saw in pictures when he was a kid and her grandma took care of him after school.

When Mitch Hargrove come back to Sweetwater Springs for the will, he doesn't intend to stay and he's got good reasons for not wanting it. He'd be happy to sell his half to Kaitlyn, but there's a catch: they must

As suspected when I saw the cover and read the summary of this book, this novel was the perfect read leading up to Christmas.

From the quaint, small-town Southern town to the relatable and lovable characters, everything about this story was addicting and easy to dive into. With no time at all, I was over halfway through the book and not wanting the story to end.

The chemistry between the two main characters was....delightful, to say the least. If I could add one thing to my Christmas list let th

Christmas on Mistletoe Lane is the debut novel in Annie Rains’ new Sweetwater Springs series. I adore reading Annie Rains novels because she creates interesting, relatable characters and unique, emotional stories for them. Kaitlyn Russo and Mitch Hargrove learn they have inherited the Sweetwater B&B from Kaitlyn’s grandmother. Mabel Russo’s will stipulates that Kaitlyn and Mitch have 8 weeks to get the B&B up and running and they must run the inn together. The unusual provision in Mabel’s will i ...more

Sweetwater Springs #1, I've said it before I'll say it again, I love it when a new series starts with a Christmas book. This was an easy romance not a lot of external conflict just the characters coming to terms with their situations, Jacob has something from his past he needs to let go of and Kaitlyn has to deal with her seemingly unsupportive parents. Written in duel third person POV between Kaitlyn and Jacob you get a good insight into each of their characters and where they are coming from m ...more

Absolutely adorable, sweet, small town, Christmas, romance story.

Kaitlyn Russo finds herself in the small town of Sweetwater Springs after losing her interior design job in NYC. She’s inherited her grandparents bed & breakfast & is ready for the fresh start. But there’s a catch that involves the swoony Mitch Hargrove.
Mitch grew up in Sweetwater but made a promise after one life changing night to never return for good. Together they have 2 months to get the bed & breakfast on Mistletoe Lane up,

If you’ve been thinking, I’d like to watch a Hallmark Christmas movie, but I also want to read a book, you should pick up Christmas on Mistletoe Lane by Annie Rains. This story follows Kaitlyn and Mitch, two strangers, both at a crossroads in their lives, who suddenly find themselves co-owners of an old inn in North Carolina.

This story had every cute, if slightly hokey, Christmas romance theme I love. The rundown inn Mitch and Kaitlyn need to restore together, small town charm with a ca

I truly enjoyed this fun holiday read which kicks off a new series from this author. It is wonderfully written with some pretty amazing characters. Kaitlyn Russo comes home to Sweetwater Springs after her job and life in the city implodes. With her Grandmother's recent passing she expected to inherit the family b&b. What she didn't expect is the rundown condition the place was in or the fact that she had to share ownership with Mitch Hargrove. Mitch just wants to sell the place and be done with ...more

True Rating 4.5 stars!

What a sweet Christmastime romance Christmas on Mistletoe Lane was! When Kaitlyn received the news that had she inherited her grandparent’s bed and breakfast she felt like it was a new start for her. She needed a life change and it was no hardship to put the big city in her rear view mirror. What she did not realize was that her inheritance came with contingencies and a rather grumpy ex-marine. Mitch had grown up spending his free time helping at the bed and breakfast and w

As far as I’m concerned it’s never too early to read a Christmas story! This weekend I decided to crack open my first holiday read for the season and it was a such a feel good holiday read. Kaitlyn is looking for a fresh start after leaving New York. Mitch is forced to come back to his hometown when this is the last place he wants to be. I loved Kaitlyn so much, her character was a spitfire and she held no punches. After everything she has gone through she still has a selfless heart and loves to ...more

Christmas on Mistletoe Lane (Sweetwater Springs #1) by Annie Rains

Rains was blessed with an empathetic voice that shines through each character she writes. Christmas on Mistletoe Lane is the latest example of that gift. Kaitlyn and Mitch tackle heartache with an appealing dose of reality and an abundance of heart. That's what makes this journey of false starts and new beginnings relatable. Mistletoe Lane is about rebuilding trust in the people around you and the person we're all meant to beco

The best and most heartwarming holiday novel that I have read so far this season. What's there not to like-a small sleepy town where everyone knows everyone and helps their neighbor, a B&B that is inherited and needs new life breathed back into it, confronting ghosts past and present, lovable characters and of course romance and the HEA. Beautiful writing style by the author. I will definitely be reading the next book to come out in 2019. ...more

Christmas on Mistletoe Lane is the perfect book to get you into the holiday spirit. The main characters both inherited half of a bed and breakfast. They both are working on second chances. I had fun visiting the town of Sweetwater. It won me over. I can’t wait to get the chance to visit again.

'Tis the season for a fresh start . . .

It's the start of the holiday season in the North Carolina mountains, and the air is fresh and crisp and filled with promise. After the devastating loss of her job in the big city, the small town of Sweetwater Springs feels like heaven to Kaitlyn Russo. Kaitlyn Russo thought she had everything she could possibly want in her life, then in an blink of an eye it was all gone, all the hard work she had put into her career felt meaningless at this point. She gave so much of herself to her job, and now that she was jobless she felt completely lost... then divine intervention steps in and she gets a call from North Carolina, one that holds lots of hope and promise. Her grandmother, that recently passed, had left her the B&B her and her husband had ran ...more

I love Christmas in September! After all, the stores are already putting out decorations (I'm looking at you, Costco), so why not? This was a really sweet Christmas romance, getting me in the Christmas spirit and wishing I could find my own town like Sweetwater Springs. These types of stories are also to blame for my dream of living in a small town where everyone knows me, because I love the sense of community it brings. Christmas On Mistletoe Lane is the perfect way to start getting me ready for Christmas.

Run down B & B in a sweet little town? Check

Mitch and Kaitlyn's story is sweet and cute and adorable. There is plenty of snark that is hiding the spark of attraction between them. You can't help but wait for all that UST to fall to the ground and for our lovelies to make happy.

I am a HUGE sucker for a cute, low-drama and low-angst, Hallmark channel movie-esque romance, and this one definitely lived up to my expectations! I have been trapped in the romantic suspense trope for months and I thought there was no end in sight. Christmas on Mistletoe Lane definitely snapped me out of that!

The ladies on the blog and I have been debating for weeks if it is too soon for Holiday romances, and I say it's NEVER too early! But they disagree with me. Apparently
