I enjoyed this second installment of the Airwoman series as much as the first. Jade isn't quite there yet but she is maturing quickly. She keeps making stupid mistakes while trying to do the right thing and save herself and her world. Spirit Woman is loaded with lies, secrets and betrayals from all sides. Jade doesn't quite know who to trust and therefore hurts people she loves. Axel is one of those she hurts but he has secrets of his own and isn't blameless either. I liked where this book went ...more

I enjoyed this second book in the Spirit Woman series by Zara Quentin as her lead character continues to do battles, both with her enemies as well as within herself, as she still struggles to stay the course of doing what is right while also doing what she has been "commanded" to do by the spirit god. In this book, the reader will once again question how does this woman continue to survive when she keeps making all kinds of foolish mistakes in her quest to make things right in her life and in he ...more

Wonderful world building and a surfeit of nail-biting tension.

This second book of the Airwoman series is much stronger than the first and certainly doesn't suffer from sequel drop-off that happens all too frequently.

Jade and Axel's unlooked for, and quite perilous, adventure continues. Secrets, lies and surprises and a few twists caught me unawares. This was a definite page-turner.

More worlds of the Dragonverse and its inhabitants unfolds and there are some intriguing new characters.

Zara Quentin’s Spirit Woman, second in her Airwoman, is as original and fun as the series’ first book. Trust me, that’s a high complement. This is one heck of a great plot, full of adventure and thrills, friendship and loyalty, danger and betrayal. The world building, with its myriad of races, including the humanoid Taraqans (who look vaguely human but with dragon wings and tails), and petal connected vast empire, is simply wonderful. That just leaves the heroine here, Jade Gariq. She’s still im ...more

Another EXCELLENT addition to this series! It kept me on pins and needles for the entire book. If you are looking for an action packed book with outstanding characters, amazing different worlds, great friends, and awful bad guys this series is for you! I just wish the next book was coming out sooner!

I was gifted an ARC in return for an honest review.

Even better than the first book

This was so much better than the first book. The characters were more in depth. Jade was easily distracted at crucial times, which only made her seem more real. Lots of loose ends, but not a cliffhanger (yeah!). Can't wait for th next book .

Zara Quentin is the author of Airwoman, the first book in the Airwoman series. She was raised in Adelaide, Australia, with her parents and one younger sister. Zara grew up with a strong sense of adventure, which she inherited from her parents, who took her and her sister on several overseas trips to the United States, Europe, and Asia.

She also inherited a love of reading from her mother. Throughou
