There is nothing to say about this book that hasn't been stated by other reviewers.
It's romance dressed as a historical fiction. The plot is flat and dull. My expectations weren't met, and I've felt quite disappointed with the historical inaccuracies, and the lack of character development. I've been eager to delve into what I thought is a biographical work, but imagine my surprise when I realised that the title character; Salah Eddine is just a supporting character that doesn't take up that much space in the plot, and that it isn't even a non-fiction. The only good thing that's worth mentioning is that it brought to mind the Islamic sects, and the numerous invasions and Dawlas that the Egyptian history witnessed.
