I wrote this book and I would love for you to read it! BAILING OUT is a standalone prequel novella in my Snow-Crossed Lovers series. If it sounds like your kind of hot snowboarder catnip you can find it for FREE in the following places:

If the rooms upstairs are four star, this place is a negative seven.

Negative eight if any rats show up, which is a distinct possibility.

Examining every inch of it takes me about thirty seconds, and after that there’s nothing to look at

Ultimately I give this book 2.5 stars. I enjoyed the story line, but it wasn’t enough for me. Belle and Gabe were strong characters who each have a past I wanted to know more of. Carrie Quest already had intriguing events within the book, I just wish she would have dug a little deeper. Bailing Out had so much potential, but I needed more.

This book is about a former Olympic skater, Isabelle Garland, and Olympic snowboarder, Gabriel Power, who are individually trying to move forward from the past

4.25 stars.

Ahh! This book is exactly what romance writing is all about, at least for me. I love a second chance lovers/forced proximity trope, definitely a favorite. I detract 3/4 of a star for this being a novella instead of a full length story! That’s so annoying! The story is so so good and well written. Everything was set up to keep going. I wanted to see how all the drama unfolded. All the questions I don’t have answers to. Will Gabe’s father keep his word? Will Gabe find more information

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

If you’re in the mood for something quick and cute, I would recommend it. I think this was a cute novella, however it wasn’t very original. I just felt that I’ve read the same story time and time again, controlling parents ruining lives.

This was my first read by this author, and have to say I really enjoyed this novella and I shall be definitely be reading the rest of this series!

I absolutely love a second chance romance story, and this was everything I love in a written romance. A perfect combination of well-written, superb, likeable main characters and a great storyline along with hot, steamy love scenes with a happy ending. Absolutely swoon and so many feels!

I am giving this four stars, only because I loved the story so much

Sports romances seem to be my latest lust at the moment. All those ripped abs on the covers.

But away from the drool-worthy abs, this novella is a sweet read about second chances and the evils of power hungry family members. Why is it we always end up letting them rule our lives and then figure out years later they screwed us over?

Gabe and Belle find each other in the most unlikely of places (her not him) and get trapped together for a while so they have no choice but to "talk it out". While it

Gabriel and Isabelle have a hot and tainted history. There were too may factors that interfered where they did not belong. Now, trapped together in Russia, they get another chance to clear the air.

Isabelle AKA "Belle" has had too many hard knocks in recent years to believe that Gabe would want to get back together. Then the chance arises to find out just what really broke them up last time. After finding out the truth, can they both learn to forgive?

This was such a fast paced, but really hot sto

It's crazy how much competitive sports is about the image of the competitors "off the ice" rather than it is when they are actually competing... Image is what keeps Americas skating sweetheart and snowboardings bad boy apart for so long after some compromising images are leaked and they both have managers/family who will do whatever it takes to keep their image intact even if it means bribing them to stay away from one another. Already questioning what they are doing and ready to go against thei ...more

I enjoyed the fast pace of this novella. It provides enough of a back story of both main characters and is well written. It has everything that makes a great romance, a bit of drama, lots of love, steamy sex scene and a happy ending. I could for sure see this turned into a full length novel or at least a second novella to get updates of these characters. I've never read anything by Carrie Quest before but I'll be sure to check out more of her work after read this. I'm definitely interested in re ...more

Bailing Out is a prequel to the new series Snow-Crossed Lovers by Carrie Quest who also happens to be a new author to me, after reading this short story I was wondering why hadn’t I read any of her books before and that I needed to read the first full length novel in the series.
This short story has a lot going for it, great characters, a great plot, it’s well written, it’s got just the right pace and it’s a second chance romance which happens to be one if my favourite genres.. Looking forward t

Bailing out a second chance at romance.
It's a shirt, quick novella that has you sucked in immediately at first word with the mystery surrounding their relationship. The problem I have is it's too short. There wee many questions I had that were still unanswered at the finality of the book. Like, I would have liked the author to give more details surrounding her accident. More details about each of them.
All in all it was a cute book.

I really enjoyed this novella by Carrie Quest! It was my first read by the author and I will definitely be checking it the rest is the series!

Isabelle, the broken ice dancer and Gabe, the snowboarding king made the perfect second-chance romance couple! The rekindling was sweet, the sex was very hot and the desire to step out of the spotlight while going against their controlling families, was the perfect ending.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest reader review.

This second chance at romance is sweet and sexy. Isabelle is an ex ice skater and Gabe is a snowboarding king and he is inSochi to win a medal and trying to see Isabelle and close that chapter in his life and move away from fame and his family. Can they both what they want or will they rekindle what they had? I love what Carrie Quest did with this story and I am looking forward to the chapter of it.

3.5 rounded up.
For a first effort, the writing style was very impressive. And as I don't usually enjoy novellas either, the 4 stars is saying something. This was done well, enough to draw me into the story and enjoy the characters. While I wish it had been a full length novel to delve into the story more, I was satisfied overall.
Will definitely be continuing the series.

Quick read

A quick, second chance romance set in the world of sports. Story finished at 74%, would have liked a bit more of Belle and Gabe.

This is a cute little reunion/makeup story. If this book was longer and had more backstory or the future of these two I would probably rate it higher because at the moment you are just thrown into the story and it kinda had an abrupt ending.

Overall, a great read if you only have an hour or two.

Contemporary Romance, with winter sports as a theme. Second-chance romance.
Prequel of a new series from a new author.

Fast-paced, hot novella!!!

Addictiveness: This is a fast-paced hot romance that can be read in one sitting.
Character: hero 4/5, heroine 4.5/5, secondary characters 4.5/5, growth 4/5, real 5/5  Great characters! The main characters have  bad history and a lot to get through. Their growth during the book is great, specially for such a short story. They are east t
