OK. Hopefully this is just setup and there's more development in future books, given there are several (6?) more in the series, and not a lot (beyond intro to character / world) seemed to happen here. Reminiscent of old school 50's private dick short stories (one story per case). ...more

Three Mean Streets by Frank Tuttle

I don’t generally listen to audio books, I am a visual person and easily distracted. If I am reading a book my eyes are busy with letters strung together into words, punctuation, and spaces. And my mind is immersed in the story. I am not easily distracted when I am focused on a book. However, when Mr. Tuttle offered me his new audio book, “Three Mean Streets,” with no mention of a review, I thought I would give it a try and refresh my memory from the beginning o

Fantastic! I could not be more excited for a series to be added to Audible. The books get better and better but I’d forgotten how much I loved this one. Well-written characters. Phenomenal world building. I’m excited all over again for Markhat. I’m not patient enough to wait for the next one to be added to audible. I’m going to re-read the entire series on my kindle. If you haven’t read everything Frank Tuttle has written, start now. It edge-of-your seat suspense married with wit and humor. Seri ...more

Loved another series by this author. (Mug and Meralda) S o when I got the opportunity to read (listen) to this one, I jumped at it. Would be a great book for fantasy or PI lovers. Main character is delightfully snarky, likes dogs, rescues cat an has a soft for the old witch down the hall. What’s not to love?
Frank Tuttle writes a story with heart and a sense of humor.
