Word of warning, I was feeling down and cranky when I read this, and am taking it out on these poor characters trapped in their HP universe. I did enjoy it as the H comes around and the heroine is…

Oh dear, the heroine is a Disney princess!

Winsome, sweet, hopeful and a little slow on the uptake. She thinks the hero hasn’t come back for her after their ONS because he has amnesia or got lost in a jungle. She will soon wish he had amnesia or had gotten lost.

As for the hero, ah the hero. The duplicit

Cinderella story

This was a cute story of a prince and a baker having a one night stand. She thought it was more, it scared him and he left. She waited for him to come and rescue her because she was pregnant and she knew it was true love. But he never came. She had a little girl and it is now one year later and she runs into him at her friends hotel. He wants her but doesn't want love. He blew hot and cold and it irritated me at times. There are a lot of twists and turns but she gets her HEA, or

A story of a Sicilian prince fashion house owner who has a ONS and the dewy-eyed heroine who dreams of the time he’ll return to her and “secure” their secret baby.

Her friends thinks she’s just a tad optimistic since she doesn’t know the guys last name. She met him when she was waitressing at a party put on by the hero from book three. He whisked her away, took her virginity and then did a runner the next morning when she declared she was in love with him.

So it was back to her uncle’s bakery for

I can’t believe I’m giving JL 1 star but this book was horrible. The child in this story spend more time with her nanny than with the heroine who was obsessed with her career. Romance felt underdeveloped and hero and heroine had zero chemistry. They were talking about fashion nonstop and I was so bored. Even the epilogue was lame. I expected a pregnancy or a new baby but sadly I got nothing. I refuse to believe this is a Jennie Lucas book. Epic fail. If u want to read a great Harlequin read “Bou ...more

Be aware before beginning this book that it seems to be the second book in a series about three close girlfriends who all have a baby the fathers know nothing about. The best I can figure out is that this is the second book but I have yet to find the first one and I'm frustrated. The third, I believe is, 'The Baby the Billionaire Demands.' It would be so helpful if these series were marked as such. I would have preferred to read them in order since the three heroines are close friends and each h ...more

Not JL’s best but after first chapters, it became interesting and the last two chapters, I loved it. Heroine was a dear of course. And JL redeemed the H very cleverly.

Fab romance. Tess was a wonderful heroine. Another lovely novel by Jennie Lucas ! Can't wait to read the other 2 novels in this series.

Tropes/themes: virgin heroine, secret baby, hero royalty, heroine servant/poor, marriage of convenience, hero cruel

"My dreams always come true." Stefano cupped her face in both his hands. "I always win, like Moretti said. I take wat I want, at any price. And what I want--" he slowly lowered his mouth to hers "--is you."

I have mixed feelings about this one. On one hand I really loved it--the cruel and unfeeling hero and the sweet and innocent heroine who only wants love. That was done very wel

I’m such a sucker for books with royalty or secret babies. I don’t know why. This was utterly ridiculous. Heroine was such a doormat and so naive. Hero was a jerk. All the situations were not even remotely realistic. But that’s what made it somewhat entertaining- it made for a quick break from reality. I just wish the characters were better.

A light fluffy book that will have you stretching your imagination to the limits.

The h had a hot one night stand with the H. He took her v-card and ran out on her, leaving no info about himself.

A year and a half later, she runs into him at her friend’s concert. He learns that she had a baby for him. He’s willing to pay support, but that’s it. Until he realizes that if he doesn’t bring the h and their child into his life, some other guy will eventually m

Wonderful romantic read with a heroine that is looking for the fairytale and a hero that sees everything as way to get back the company that once belonged to his family, throw in a cute baby and this is a fantastic read.

The Heir the Prince Secures!

While you are reading this book, there are multiple thoughts going in your head as when the point of view changes from Tess's view or Stefano's view is first you have to get use to, then again you wont relate to the naive Tess in the beginning but of course you are going to love her by the end.

Stefano is superbly confused in the entire book about his feelings, but that adds to more anxiety of reaching to climax or end.

But once you reach the half way you are just goi

3.5 stars. Well written M & B romance. Heroine (poor of course) has baby after hero (billionaire - SIGH NOT AGAIN! - I'm sure there really aren't that many of them; seriously) disappears, then they meet a year later. Heroine with baby in tow and hero denying it's his. I liked reading this book, but it has no surprises and is to typical M & B formula. I thought the heroine did quite an about face towards the end, re her character...downtrodden to feisty. Some nice steamy romance scenes.

I have met Jennie Lucas, I’ve had a book, written by her, dedicated to me so I’m probably prejudiced yet I love her characters, plot lines and her writing. I am a huge fan, for others she may not be your cup of tea yet when I was going through a very difficult time, her writing was inspirational and comforting to me! Try her books, she is terrific.

Part of a trilogy it was an okay read. The hero so called was pretty callous for quite the length of the novel although came through in the end.

3.5 Star Review Posted at HarlequinJunkie.com

Tess is a total believer of love and thought Stefano was the one. Yet, when they come to face-to-face and he treats her like she’s not worth his time, even though they once spent an incredible night together, she knows she has to walk away before she gets hurt. However, when he proposes, Tess agrees for the sake of their child who deserves both parents in her life. Will Tess and Stefano be happy together or will she walk away from her shot at happy ev

Jennie Lucas had a tragic beginning for any would-be writer: a very happy childhood. Her parents owned a bookstore, and she grew up surrounded by books, dreaming about faraway lands. Her mother read aloud to her in French when she was little; when she was ten, her father secretly paid her a dollar for every classic novel (Jane Eyre, War and Peace) that she read. As a chubby teenager, Jennie covere ...more
