In order to overcome a spreading evil, an intrepid traveler has to journey through an unknown land with a fellowship to aid him, in his quest to throw a shiny bauble into a fiery volcano.
Sound familiar? Not this is not The Lord of the Rings (movies or books). It is the eleventh in a series of a mouse traveling to a fantastic kingdom. But the plot is an homage *cough* stolen *cough* directly from there. Are the authors running out of original ideas?
Another big hit for Geronimo Stilton. This was the first book in the series that we read with such a high page count, but it worked very well and my son enjoyed it. There were some callbacks at the end to spiny grubs that he no longer remembered from the beginning.
A lot going on, a huge cast and a living world for a fan to dig into and enjoy. Looking forward to more adventures in the land of fantasy.
This book was a fun and magical adventure. Geronimo gets pulled back into the Kingdom of Fantasy and has to help save it again. The story moves fast, with lots of creative creatures and colorful places.
What makes it stand out is Geronimo himself—he’s nervous and clumsy, but still brave in his own way. It’s easy to relate to him. The illustrations and playful fonts make it even more fun to read, its visual representation is off the charts, probably one of the most creative books I have ever read.
Overall, this book is a perfect balance of humor, fantasy and clumsiness, which is suitable for young readers and adults.
This was such a cute fantasy book for kids. We took about 3 weeks to read this for 15 mins at bedtime, and the boys loved it. The book is long, but each chapter is short and the illustrations are so fun to keep the kids intrigued. We loved following this mouse on his adventure, and by the end my son was itching to figure out who had betrayed Geronimo. We will definitely continue to read more books in the series as these are great gateway to reading books for kids. It is intended for middle grades, 4-8th grade.
Gifted by her Fuffad to Aasya, this was her first Geronimo book. She was excited to read about the adventures of little mouse and how he becomes a superhero with help of all his friends. From an adult reading it, I felt that there were too many characters thrown into a book and each of them only having very role. But then it’s how life is. All of us have little part in this cosmic plan
Oh boy, here we go again. I have been a fervent fan of Geronimo since young and have been to all the journey to the kingdom of fantasy however it's getting boring now. Took a long time for me to finish this, just not that interesting anymore, perhaps I have outgrown them. Still, can't deny being in awe with the graphics. I miss those old ,classic Geronimo stories.
This book might be my favorite book in the series so far. This definitely a book I would want to read over and over again. In this book Geronimo is working extra hard. In the end Geronimo saves the day with his cleverness.
The most funniest part is the helidragon being fed helibeans and again my favorite character is mel and my favorite thing is luminos the sword of light.
