I was the golden child. The one all the Cerberus guys looked up to. I was on my way to becoming the next career Marine.

But after my last deployment to Syria, being a Marine was no longer an option.

Unfortunately, my not so honorable discharge from the Corps didn’t get rid of the demons created while I was enlisted.

Not even my childhood friend can save me. I’ll destroy her j

Marie James is freaking amazing. The words she writes are freaking magic. Like how I initially didn't like Griffin. The way he acted and the things he said when he first came home had me not being a big fan of his. But his pain and hurt struck a chord. He was clearly messed up over what he'd done. And it was just written in such a moving way that by the end I loved him. That's the kind of magic in her writing. Griffin was just one of the things I loved. Ivy was so much stronger and kinder and ju

It feels like ages since reading a Marie James book and this book did not disappoint me at all. I absolutely loved this book and how the author really gets into the minds of the characters. I feel as if I am right there with the characters and in the midst of their good times and struggles. Griffin has always wanted to be a Marine, grew up got his wish and then things went awry. He is struggling after being discharged and Ivy (one of his childhood friends who has had a crush on him forever) is t ...more

Have loved this series from the beginning and as we head more and more into the second generation my attachment to this series grows stronger. Griffin is drowning in guilt, shame and nightmares but can his childhood friend and the one that has loved him from afar be his saviour. In true Cerberus MC fashion this family will show their strength, love and loyalty to Griffin even when he fights them every inch of the way. Griffin and Ivy’s story is eye opening as he finally sees the girl that is now ...more

Okay so first off I have to say gawd I waited so long for this book and hands down Marie James delivered with it!

Next in the agenda is Griffin. Oh I didn’t like him at the beginning! I knew he was going through a lot but how he treated Ivy?! Gawd I wanted to punch him! But I still loved him and I new he would redeem himself and he did.

Ivy was an angel through all of this book and you can’t help but fall in love with her sweet and loving nature. I found this book was addictive right from the st

Griffin has just returned home after being discharged from the military. He was a career Marine, but did something stupid and got kicked out. He gets home and just wants to be left alone.

Ivy was a childhood friend and she had always had a crush on him. But when he left, he treated her as a child. She wants to help him, but he doesn’t make it easy.

I loved this book. With all the demons and secrets that Griffin came home with, Ivy seems to calm him. But will she stay when she knows all his secre

Absolutely loved Griffin! I’ll admit I haven’t read the entire Cerberus series but I still loved this book! Griffin has some emotions to overcome after his service in the Marines but Ivy takes them in stride. Well written and couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for the next one!

Griffin has to be collected from Camp Pendleton when he is discharged from the Marines. At 23 this is not how he saw his life going; his "uncles" Diego/"Kincaid" and Dominic, picking him up like a naughty child and that his own father Morrison/"Shadow" wouldn't even come for him. There are reasons for everything though, but no matter what happens, he would not tell anyone what those reasons are. Even when they get back home to New Mexico, he just wants his solitude to

Wow what a story! I'm absolutely loving the kids books!

This is Griffin and Ivy's story.

Ivy has had a crush on Griffin from a young age but he never noticed her. She has always been overlooked for her more vibrant sister so she just accepted it as it is. But when Griffin comes back after being discharged she heads home to check on him. What she finds is not the Griffin she knew.

Griffin is on a dark path. After seeing and doing things no one should whilst on tour he can't seem to escape his own m

It’s been so long since I’ve read a book from this lady and I missed her. She has written one of my favorite MC series and since that day, my interested in this genre grew even more.
Marie James knows what she’s doing. Her book will make you scream not only in fear but also smile with joy and will melt a few panties on the way… Just have a look for yourself and you’ll see.

Hold onto your hats ladies…the men of Cerberus are back!

Marie James has delivered yet another swoon-worthy alpha male to add to the ranks of Kincaid, Shadow, Snatch, and more recently, Lawson and Hound, to name a few. Griffin takes his rightful place in those ranks with his own tale of service, betrayal, heartbreak, and redemption.

Serving in the Marine Corps was the only thing he ever wanted to do. A young man of strength, integrity, and courage,

When I'm in the mood for a Motorcycle Club (MC) romance, there is really only one author I turn too... Marie James. There's something about the way she creates her club that I am so in love with. Plus the fact that we are now meeting generation 1.0's children in Cerberus MC Generation 2.0 is just plain exciting! The major thing I love about this entire series is that Marie James has created a MC that is close to all the bikers I have meant. They are strong, alpha men that have a heart if gold an ...more

This is book seven in this series and also it's the kids so a spin-off of sorts. I have been waiting on pins and needles for this book since I first read about Griffen previously. He had an edge to him. This book is emotional and has some triggers for some. Get ready for Griffen and Ivy.

As I said I read the original series and I read all about their parents. Now we get the kids. We have Ivy, who is young and naive in a way, as well as quiet and stays in the background. She is always overlooked b

ARC read in return for an honest review.

After being discharged from the Marines in less than favourable circumstances Griffin’s back in town although he’s hiding away from his friends and family, after the things he’s been through and done he’s being consumed by guilt and turning to the bottle for solace and to forget, but here’s the thing about being part of the Cerberus family you’re never alone, if there’s something going on or something’s not right they all rally round for one another and th

I'm not sure how Marie James keeps penning all these original stories surrounding the Cerberus MC, but she does a brilliant job keeping them fresh, and I'll NEVER EVER get enough! This is the story of Griffin & Ivy, two kids belonging to members of Cerberus MC. Griffin was a proud Marine, until he took an order from his commanding officer which led to him ultimately coming home in shame & disgrace. He suffered badly, drinking all the time to keep the nightmares & guilt at bay, acting ...more

6/5 stars!!! I love this MC series so much, mostly because it isn't your "typical" MC series. This book though is a bit different from the others. Marie managed to touch multiple tough topics in this book and she went about them in the most beautiful way!!!

I am having issues putting into words Griffin in this book. The crap he dealt with as a Marine and his life post-marines was SO heartbreaking. Seeing this man shut down and cave into himself was just the saddest thing. I ADORED Ivy though. Sh

Entertaining, but not the best in the series

I don’t think this was the strongest Cerberus MC book I’ve read. It was pretty predictable and didn’t have much building up of tension. The style of writing was easy and natural but I just didn’t feel there was much of a plot and to be honest, Griffin was a bit of an idiot.

Griffin and Ivy grew up together in the MC but they weren’t really friends. Ivy always had a huge crush on Griffin and never really looked at any other man, despite being away at col

Wow, what an gripping ride the author took me on with Griffin’s story. The book is more than just well written with wonderfully defined characters, the storyline broke my heart in two then took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions all the way to the very end. Kudo’s Ms. James for an outstanding read.

Griffin has wanted to follow the men of his family's footsteps for years by becoming a Marine. He spent several years proudly devoted to serving his country and loving every minute of it; right up

Griffin: Cerberus MC book 8 by Marie James 5 Stars

This book has all the feels I have come to expect from Marie James. She has a way of pulling out emotions in her readers with every page turn. This book had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation of what was going to happen next. If you haven read the Cerberus MC series, I HIGHLY recommend starting with book one. Each book is about a member of the MC and their love interest, but run chronological order. This review may contain spoilers from

Griffin came home--well his home town. He couldn't face his family or friends. Not after what he had done. Not that any of them knew. He knew. And it was eating him up alive. Is there such a thing as suicide by the bottle? He was well on his way to finding out.

Ivy had crushed on Griffin since she was a kid. That's all he'd ever treated her like. She wasn't a kid now and he was home. Would she make him notice her now? She was older but still innocent. He wasn't the guy she used to know. He was dr

Fantastic storyline that will have your emotions running in all directions. There will be a hate/love relationship with Griffin when you first get to know him. He has some really serious issues taking place within his mind and is spiraling downward fast after returning home from the Marines, in a manner that was not to his liking at all. He feels that he has let everyone down including his Marine Corp. The ghosts haunt him, as do a very live member of his past, one that he knows is waiting to ta ...more

Oh wow, Marie James brought out the emotional big guns with this one!!

Griffin (Shadow's Son) was serving in the Marine corp until something happened and he has come back a broken shell of a man. He is struggling to deal with the demons in his head and drowns himself in the bottle in an attempt to stop the memories.

Ivy (Kincaid's daughter) has always had a crush on Griffin, but has always felt overshadowed and overlooked by her twin sister. Despite all this she travels back across the country wh

I couldn't wait to dive in Griffin's story and I definitely was not disappointed. He's come home a broken man after his discharge from the Marines. With a hefty load of PTSD, he just wants to be left alone. Ivy has always crushed on her friend, but he only saw her as the more homely twin, nothing more than a friend. Slowly Griffin is realizing that he needs Ivy. She soothes him, calms the demons inside. Ivy is fighting for all she's worth to help Griffin, but can it be enough? Can her love and s ...more

This is book 8 it can be read as a standalone if you haven’t yet met the guys of the Cerberus MC. Personally I think books are typically best read in order so you know all the characters and their past stories, but no worries if you haven’t in this case.

Griffin is dishonorably discharged from the Marines. At 23 he had planned to follow in his uncles footsteps but that plan is derailed when his actions in Syria begin to haunt him.

After following orders he didn’t agree with Griffin commits an act that gets his discharged from the services. Who knew trying to sell pot to a mp would get you in hot water? After being forced to go home he finds a cabin to hide out in.

My heart absolutely broke for the struggle that Griffin goes through. He is in such a bad place that he can't see the help that is right in front of his face. He doesn't want to put others in jeopardy and instead wallows and suffers alone, ruins relationships and hurts those that care about him.

Be prepared for an emotional journey with this one folks. Griffin returns home from war and he is not the same guy who left. I have read a few books that feature a returning serviceman and this one is up there with one of the best with how is was handled. I'm not sure what it would be like but Griffin's issues seem honest and heartbreaking.
