I haven’t loved the Josie Quinn books--until now. Her Mother’s Grave, IMHO, is the best book in the series so far!

Her Mother’s Grave can be read as a standalone.

When a body of a teenage girl is unearthed, Chief of Police Josie Quinn and her team begin an investigation. The more they uncover about the dead girl, the more Josie reflects on her childhood and her abusive mother; exposing her vulnerabilities and putting her in imminent danger.

This book is focused on Josie’s childhood and the a

Josie comes to the scene and asks Noah, "What he's got"? Noah points to the backseat of the cruiser, and says "A couple of kids playing in the woods found some bones". Josie peered through the Window into the back seat of the cruiser where the faces of two young boys stare back at her. They couldn't be older than ten or eleven. Both were covered in mud. One of the neighbors called it in.

The boys dug up three fox holes and stopped when they found the bones. Josie and Noah found out that the bones

Wow! I just love this series and absolutely loved this book!

HER MOTHER’S GRAVE (Detective Josie Quinn Book 3) by LISA REGAN was a highly entertaining, riveting, twisty, and suspenseful read that immediately grabbed my attention and held right to that very satisfying conclusion.

LISA REGAN delivers an absolutely fabulous story here with compelling characters and a gripping storyline that takes us back to Josie’s childhood. The story is told through flashback chapters when Josie was young and in

5 Best Yet Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is the third book in the detective Josie Quinn series and the best yet! Josie Quinn is being crowned my favorite female detective... Lisa Regan did a brilliant job with the character development of Josie... in the first book I liked her but I didn’t feel as though we really got to know her...in the second book we got to know her a little better, we got a little glimpse into her past, but we were still held at arms length... in this book WOW she was laid bare to us... w

I read Her Mother’s Grave with three of my Traveling Sisters and this story left all of shocked with that final twist that we all enjoyed and never saw coming.

Her Mother’s Grave is the third book in the Detective Josie Quinn series and has come to be the favorite of the three for me and this series has also become a favorite of mine. Josie did not start out as a favorite character for me and I really thought she was cold and hard to connect with, in the first book Vanishing Girls. It took me a

The third in the Josie Quinn series, this book details Josie’s youth and abusive mother as the team investigates the discovery of a 30+ year old skeleton. As they learn more about the identity of the missing girl, Josie flashbacks to the horrors she endured living with her mother. Regan does a great job of intertwining the personal with the professional.

This is a straightforward mystery. Solid, well written, entertaining, but nothing flashy or special. I liked the constant pace. The interaction

4☆ An Action Packed suspenseful and thrilling read

Her Mother's Grave is the third book in the series. Although this can be read as a standalone I wish i had read the other books as there are some snippets along the way that I'm guessing have been running throughout the series.

This book is full of Drama and suspense and keeps you thoroughly gripped the whole way through.
In parts it's not always an easy read and does contain abuse which was not easy. But did have the impact it needed for the plot

EXCERPT: She started the fire in the nursery. Her lips curved into a smile as amber flames licked the walls and spread throughout the room, consuming the perfectly matching furniture and the carpet from which she'd spent so many hours scrubbing invisible marks. The gossamer crib canopy she painstakingly arranged every day went up in a satisfying whoosh.

'Don't wake the babies. Don't go in there until the children are up. Don't. Don't. Don't.'

This'll teach her.

"Her Mothers Grave" is the third book in the Detective Josie Quinn series by Lisa Regan and wowzer, what an incredible read! This is a masterclass for how to pen a killer thriller.

Josie Quinn races to the scene where two boys have discovered the body of a teenager who had been dead for 30 years. She went by the name Belinda Rose, the same name Josie's abusive mother used. There is a clear connection between the names but does she dare track her mother down? We learn an awful lot about Josie's pa

Detective Josie Quinn hadn’t been Chief for long, but the support of her two main detectives, Noah and Gretchen were proving vital. And when the discovery of skeletal bones in an area of the woods where Josie used to play as a child was made, Josie’s past suddenly reared its ugly head. Memories she had tried to keep under lock and key for years now threatened to tangle with her and she wasn’t sure what to do.

Her Mothers Grave is book 3 in the Detective Josie Quinn series and in my opinion the best one so far. Absolutely loved this book and am hoping that another one isn't too far away.

Kids are playing in the wood when they discover human bones buried in the dirt. When those bones are identified as Belinda Rose, Jodie's world is about to come crashing down. The Josie Quinn series has quickly become one of my favorites. This is the third entry and each seems to get better. The setting is unique and the characters are enjoyable. If you have read either of the two previous books in the series (Vanishing Girls, The Girl With No Name) you know that Josie had a tough childhood. Her mother was an abusive drug addict / alcoholic / psycho. In this story Josie's past will collide with the present. Josie is a survivor but the question is how will Josie come o ...more

4.5 stars rounded up on this thrill-ride from Lisa Regan

This was the best in the series so far and it's my favorite. I'm loving the start of a romance with Noah and it is great to have so many secrets cleared up about Josie's past.

I think that Regan's writing has gotten stronger, this one flowed quite smoothly. I liked the chapters that were glimpses back to Josie's past, but made my heart ache.

I'll be anxiously awaiting book #4 and I'd like to read some of Regan's earlier books.

4.5 stars, damn she's good. This was a seriously good book. Some young boys playing outdoors in a trailer park find some human bones. It transpires the bones belong to Belinda Rose who was born in 1965 and died in her late teens. Josie (Detective Josie Quinn) says that can't be as Belinda Rose is her mother and she is very much alive. But if the bones are indeed Belinda Rose, then who is the woman calling herself Josie's mother?

As Josie uncovers some awkward truths that could change everything,

Police Chief Josie Quinn catches a very odd and very personal case. Two boys playing in the woods have discovered a skeleton. The identity comes back as one Belinda Rose. I’ve read this entire series and I'm in awe. Seriously! I was on the verge of tears nearly the entire time I was reading this book. I have to admit to being somewhat surprised by how much I'm enjoying this series. Usually, if there is a whiff of romance in a book I'm outta there! This series keeps drawing me in and I feel that each book is better than the last. Her Mother's Grave is dark, twisted, disturbing, and suspenseful. Josie Quinn's childhood plays a huge role in this book, and the details are horrifying. (Trigger warnings for abuse, violence, and neglect.) I enjoyed this story although there were early enough clues where you can pretty well guess some of the "unknowns" that Josie and her team were following up on. Sometimes things seemed really obvious and I would get impatient waiting for the story to catch up.

There is a past/present jumping as we see glimpses into how tragic Josie's childhood was.

There were also a couple of times that Josie going off on her own seemed a little stupid. It was really hard to believe that Sophia was able to get th
