I broke off what we had to protect him.
He demolished what was left in one drunken, thoughtless act.
I have no one.
No family.
My father is dead.
The rest have abandoned me.
Then hope comes pounding on my door.
Pretty promises wrapped up in the man I love but can never have.

She pushed me away, propelling me into the biggest mistake of my life.
I discovered the truth… about her… about me.
I can never tell her what really happened.
All I can do is protect her with everything I have and pray she forgives me before it's too late.
Too late to make her mine.
Too late to save her from her father's killer.

Can Joseph and Samantha find their way back to each other before time runs out?

Until You Are Mine
is the second book in the Until You series and continues the story of Samantha and Joseph. Samantha is still struggling with the reality that Joseph loves her. She thinks that it’s not true and that he’ll find someone better than her.

Until You Are Mine was such an amazing sequel. I finished this beauty in one day and the day after I started reading the third book, Until You Say I Do. Until You Are Mine is such a fast-paced read and I really wanted to know how the story was going to end.

Samantha and Joseph are both amazing characters. Like I mentioned in my review of Until You Set Me Free, I really love the double POV. You get to know the characters better, and you get to know their true feelings. You just know what Joseph really feels for Samantha and throughout the book, I wished I could send a message to Samantha so that she could stop doubting Joseph’s feelings.

Until You Are Mine was again the perfect book for my shitty mood and I highly recommend the Until You series. Both books have been so amazing because they are both fast paced and the story in general is really interesting!

Lovers and Murderers

Samanthas relationship with Joseph has its ups and downs while her father‘s murder tries to make contact with her. Lots of security and lots of wealth contribute to a very exciting conclusion to this book. I really enjoyed it

ok I need a breather and to bring myself down from this book euphoria I'm feeling currently...will update review once I compose myself from this beautiful story of Samantha and Joseph

“I forgave you anyway. Always. That’s what you do when you find your other half. You do whatever is necessary to be with them.”

This line, it is so true. So now that I have came down from that euphoria that is Samantha and Joseph let’s talk about this book. I absolutely LOVE this series. I cannot wait for the 3rd book to come out in a few weeks! I am so in love with all the characters from Samantha to Fin! ** I really would like to see a spin off with the brothers, that would be a great read.**

Now some things that really upset me; WTF is up with Samantha’s mom, what type of mom (no matter how in love with their husband they are) basically forgets about their child. Their birthday, poor Samantha! I get the mom is hurting here I sympathize but don’t you think you should be strong for your daughter who was shot and lost her dad! And don’t get me started on Jace. No respect for that man-whore, but at least he gained a little more respect by finally telling Samantha what he did to Joseph.

Since I got that out of the way let’s talk about the deets on this book. I RARELY buy books on kindle, I usually settle for free ones, but this one as soon as I finished the 1st within 5 minutes I was reading the second thanks to Kindle. I could not put it down, staying up well past my bedtime to keep reading. Samantha is such a great character, she’s so smart but loves to fiercely. She’s a scared lonely girl and doesn’t feel worthy of Joseph’s love. I am glad she matured a little more and was finally able to accept the love that Joseph has to offer. I really enjoyed reading about these two. I feel like I know them! I am glad that Samantha was able to do what she had to do to keep all her loved ones safe. And FINALLY be able to accept Joseph’s love and forget that nagging in her brain that makes her think he’s going to leave her.

“This is not about me taking anything from you. I want this to be about giving. I want to give you something no man ever has. I want to give you a part of me I’ve never given anyone. You’re my heart, Samantha, and I need to cherish you, worship you, make love to you”

This line, it was great! Had me crying as I read this scene. Joseph is SO sweet, why can’t all our husbands be like him? CANNOT wait for the next book!!!!!!!! If I could give this book 6 stars I would!

Until You are Mine is a continuation of the story about Samantha and Joseph. It is full of heart and soul - both heartbreaking and heartwarming, filled with determination and hope in the face of danger. The truth unfolds and paves the way for forgiveness and a future. As with the first book in this series, once I started reading I didn't want to put the book down. I feel like Samantha and Joseph are family and it hurts knowing the pain they've had to endure. This story picks up where the first left off - and I definitely recommend you read Until You Set Me Free first or this book won't make nearly as much sense. A lot of things happen in the first story that are key to the development of this one. Samantha's brother, Jace, who has been beyond a manwhore and has done some horrible things - to Samantha and Joseph - may finally be starting to come around by the end of the book... while he didn't have a large role in this story, he did make a few appearances at key points. D.M. Davis definitely knows how to weave a potent story. I can't wait to see what comes next. While there isn't a cliff hanger at the end of this story as with the first, there is definitely room for Samantha and Joseph's story to continue.

Love this series. Can't wait to read the third book. She thinks she is saving the man that she loves by breaking up with him. He does something stupid that could ruin any future they have. Will she believe him and trust him enough to give him another chance?

Now we are back for more comrades. Yes you read it, book two has commenced and I am loving it. Something I am starting to really like is Davis's writing style. Her creative dynamics between characters, drama of secondary characters aiding in the suspense and romance of the main characters plus the plot twists that leaves me conflicted beyond belief. I need more.

Picking up where we left off, things have heated up for the couple. After suffering an accident, Samantha is working to pick up the pieces of her life, entering her senior year of high school while Joseph is off to college. Dealing with the death of her father plus issues with her mother and the aiding drama that Jace seems to love bringing to the table, Samantha is lost. Again, brings me back to something I said previously, she isn't inferior as a female, but she still allows herself to be a puppet for her surroundings. I really want her to grow more as a person instead of developing strictly by whom she leans on for support, like Joseph.

And we are back to the delicious Joseph. Joseph is definitely peaked to this almost unhealthy obsessive individual, one in which I pine for and yet scared to admit scares me a little for Samantha. He is passionate and he is rather over powering. But even in this state their romance still blossoms into this all-consuming need for one another, Joseph absolutely worships the ground Samantha walks. I am envious of this fictional romance.

Playing on the drama as well there is some more twists and turns that really took my breath away, not to mention kicked me right in the gut. Without spoilage, because you need to read this, but to be fair, the drama on the secondary characters really takes your head for a spin. First with Jace, obviously being Jace, I am wondering what kind of person does this to a sister, to a best friend who is like a brother - it is questionable. Than you have more of Joseph's family playing a factor. Michael and Fin in tow, definitely adds something I wasn't expecting on the twist.

Bottom line - I am hooked. I am still just as hooked as I was from book one and into book two. Now with Until You Say I Do in my greedy little hands (aka my kindle...) I am ready to have this story come to closure and see what actually happens with my beloved characters. Davis has captivated me body and soul, I need more of her. This is definitely a great series!

A story about a young woman who feels she has to protect those she loves by staying away from them and dealing with the death of her father on her own. Little does she know that the people who love her aren't going to let that happen. This is Book 2 in the Until You Series. It's a great story about young love and how two people can overcome past hurts and make a go of their relationship.

Samantha is in her senior year of high school when her father is murdered and she is shot at the same time. Her mother has withdrawn into herself, her older brother is away at college and doing his own thing, and Samantha is left to care for her mother, run the household, and stay on top of her school work to keep her GPA up, as the Valedictorian of her graduating class. She's doing it, but she's also shutting out the friends who love her and want to help her. She already distanced herself from Joseph because she didn't want him to end up like her father or be in danger, but at what cost?

Joseph is in college and doesn't know why Samantha broke up with him. He goes out to forget and get drunk, but ends up in more trouble than what he was looking for, thanks to Sam's brother. Joseph knows he has to get through to Samantha to help her. He takes matters into his own hands and shows up on her doorstep the day after her 18th birthday with his older brother Fin, and Samantha's FBI security guard, Michael in tow. They make their way into the house and find out what Samantha has been going through. They make her see that they are there to help her and start making arrangements to do just that.

I really enjoyed this story and I look forward to reading the Book 3 in the series to see more of Samantha and Joseph's life. I also hope to see some books in the future with Fin's, Matt's, Joseph's other brother, Michael's and Victor's stories. They all have great parts in this story and I would love to read more about them. I give this story a 4.5 star review, and I look forward to reading more of D.M. Davis' books.

Until You Are Mine is the second installation of the Until You Trilogy of Joseph and Samantha's story. It continues the story after such a cliffhanger from the first installation, Until You Set Me Free.

This book also solidified my love for Joseph!!! He is just the BEST book boyfriend ever!!! at least in my opinion. I said before that Joseph has been nothing but respectful, sweet, caring, and loving to Samantha and this remains true in this installation. Joseph is such an Alpha male but in the best way possible! He is also extremely honest and does everything he can for Samantha without overstepping any boundaries. He is extremely giving and I love a man who is all about giving ;)

Also, my favorite scene is just CHEF'S KISS!!! (I'm reading the Until You Collector's edition and it's on page 327). This scene literally made me soooo giddy i had too stop reading to get rid of my energy>

While Joseph is the softest teddy bear, Samantha is one of the STRONGEST female character I have ever read. She isn't perfect, which I love, and she isn't written as one of those characters that just magically overcome her insecurities and flaws. I love Samantha because of her strength and resilience throughout all the things she has been through. In Until You Set Me Free, we get to know how much her family, ESPECIALLY HER BROTHER!!!, has affected her view of herself. In this installation, we get a deeper view of how it made her the independent woman that she is but we also get to see how fragile she really is. We also get to see that even though she finds a new family in her friends and Joseph, she still remains self-sufficient and a MOTHER FREAKING WARRIOR! because he doesn't use his newfound manly men to be a damsel-in-distress! If anything, she became even stronger! She became a full on "I will protect the people I love" BADASS BOSS.

Thank you so much for D.M. Davis for such a great book! I am so excited to finish their love story!

Also, I cannot wait to read about all the other male characters in the book!! But not Jace. My personal opinion, there is nothing that will make me like Jace.

This is Joe and Sam's story. Joe is the friend of Sam's older brother. He spent Thanksgiving with their family and Sam found herself falling for the older boy. They sneak around a bit, but Joe has to leave again for college and he feels like he is leaving his heart behind. In college he can't stop thinking about her, but he doesn't contact her and when Sam finds out he is coming back she avoids him at all costs. Will these two get their act together. Before they can even get to their love Sam and her father are unexpectedly attacked by a madman. To try to protect Joe Sam pushed him away and this hurts Joe so much that he does something that may sabotage them ever reuniting.

In Book Two
These two story continues will they get their HEA or will Sam continue to try and protect her family and Joe.
Joe is very persistent in this one and doesn't give up on his girl. Their is some danger still lurking and Sam still has agents watching her. I felt so bad for Joe each time Sam pushed him away. This story is a little heartbreaking but we do find out why Sam and her father were attacked. Jace her brother I simply don't like him and don't understand why he did what he did to his own sisters. This story does end with things getting better and our hero and heroine are finally together, but their will be more to their story in the next book in this series and I can't wait.

I loved this story it was full of suspense. Great characters and two people that loved each other so much even when they were apart.

👍A tense tale of love, loss, and a teenager who fights to rise from the ashes to secure her HEA👍
February 17, 2018
Format: Kindle Edition
This second book in the series is as angstful and good as the first, even better in my opinion. It doesn't end on a bunch of cliffhanging threads, for one. And Jace, teenage heroine Samantha's older brother, who I Really Disliked in the previous book, gets very minor play in this story. It's well-written, romantic and plenty suspenseful. Although it took a slow reveal that stretched almost to the story's conclusion, I finally got my answer on why Samantha and her father were attacked and her father killed in the previous book. Sam is the true hero of this story, fighting through the loss of almost everything she held dear and ready to sacrifice to make things safe for her friends, family, and man she loves.

I don't think you will get enough background about Sam's romance with Joseph or the extent of Sam's isolation and loss unless you read Until You Set Me Free first. I had read the previous book a few months earlier and had to go back to refresh my memory on some key issues that carried into this story. And there's a lot of intimacy between the just-legal highschooler Sam and college student Joseph. If that is something you are not into, you can always skim over those scenes as I did when they got a bit long for my taste.

I received a complimentary advance copy of this book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

Davis begins this book right where Until You Set Me Free ended. The segue is flawless and the powerful relationships we developed with the characters in book one continue…and as promised, the author delivers an ending that explains why things took such a drastic turn in the previous book.

Not only is Samantha Cavanagh recovering from a gunshot wound she is also trying to come to grips with her father’s death. She has returned to her classes, takes care of all household responsibilities, prepares all meals and in her spare time, she has become the primary caretaker of her mother all at the ripe age of seventeen. Her older brother is avoiding his responsibilities and spending as much time as possible partying. Everyone is handling grief in their own way.

Sam’s only support was Joseph and she pushed him away to protect him…to keep him as far away from the killer as possible. Sam is lost in grief and the killer is on the loose. Joseph wants nothing more than to protect and take care of her but her need to keep him safe overrides her own self- preservation. Will he be able to help her, keep her safe, and devise a plan to protect her?

The love story is powerful in its own right, but combining it with the aspect of a killer stalking her and you have a teeth clinching thriller that will hold you spell bound right up to the very end. And if you are like me, you will be sending thanks to D.M. Davis for yet another wonderful story that held its own right to the very end.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. My only regret is I can’t award more than 5 stars. Great job!

4 ★★★★

This book continues the story of Samantha and Joseph.

In the first book, Sam drives Joe away because she believes it is best for him at that time.
However, Joe keeps fighting his way to be with Sam because he is now wants everything with her.
There are many sweet moments where Joseph patiently, giving Sam the time she needs to be comfortable in her own skin.
He keeps giving compliments after compliments and assure Sam that she is beautiful, she is worthy, she is perfect in her own way.
It is really sweet of him to do that.

I love how they both grow from the first book.
Joe is more forthcoming with his intentions and his feelings and Sam is more open to the idea that she is desirable, worth the fight and to rely on somebody else.

Good continuation read.
I enjoyed this book. It was better than the first for me. It’s a continuation from where the last book ended and while I wanted them a bit in the future I understand why the author wrote it this way and the need. That being said, Sam was still a bit juvenile for me. There was a lot going on in the story and plenty of angst and feels. The writing is good and characters defined. I’d recommend though I’d imagine it would be hard to read this book without having read the first. There’s more to come and I’ll be on the lookout for this third book.
I requested and received an arc copy of this book. This is my voluntary, true, and honest opinion.

A Review of Until You Are Mine by D.M. Davis

Joseph and Samantha - 4.5 Stars

This was the second book in the series and it was definitely worth waiting for. It picks up where the first book left off. With the pain that Joseph felt after Sam broke up with him (for his safety) and the betrayal Jace forced on him, I was anticipating what was going to happen. The connection between Joseph and Sam was so strong and they were sooo meant to be. I can hardly wait for the last book in the series. I want to see what happens for this wonderful couple. Absolutely worth the purchase.

I was glad the author included book 1 in the ARC for book 2. It really helped in reading book 2 so you knew how Joseph and Sam got started. Sam was a little immature for her age considering how "mature and independent" her character was described as. The plot was good. The story-line flowed smoothly throughout. I loved the characters except for Sam's back and forth decisions. I loved that Joseph wanted to wait until after they graduated college and got their careers started before pursuing a relationship with her. Sam let her insecurity influence some of her decisions without really "hearing" what Joseph was saying. I commend him for that thought process. Yes, I didn't like the "cheating" aspects of the story though it really wasn't cheating. I thought Sam's brother was very immature and went off the deep end. How can you do that to a friend and your sister. I can't wait to see how everything comes together in the end.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book...

Until You Are Mine is book 2 in the Until You series. This book picks up where book 1 left off and must be read in order. Once again I was hooked from the start and couldn't put this book down. The suspense of what was going to happen next was something that had me on the edge of my seat. I was trying to guess but still taken by surprise. I love these characters and the chemistry between Sam and Joseph is still explosive. These two were made for each other for sure.

Just like in book 1, I was feeling all the feels and an emotional wreck for what Samantha was going through. She and Joseph still have a lot to work through but Joseph is not willing to give up easily.

You will not be disappointed! One click this series right away!

This was the second book in the Until You Series. I did not read the first book but was able to keep up, but would recommend that you read it if you can. This is the story of Samantha and Joe. Samantha had endured a lot, a shooting, her father's death, being her mother's caretaker, a stalker, a brother who skirts his responsibilities. Full of drama and suspense this is a book full of action. This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster and leave you with a cliffhanger, but it's worth it. I read a copy via Hidden Gems and voluntarily chose to write a review.

This second novel in the Until You series is a cliffhanger once again, but is also completely, 100% worth it. Until You Are Mine is book Two in the Until You Series. This is continues the story of story of Joseph and Samantha. You do need to have read the previous book to enjoy this one since this is an ongoing story line with Joseph and Sam. In addition this does end to start the next book in their story.
This book picks up with with Samantha getting over being shot and her father's death. Sam is trying to deal with keeping distance from Joseph because she didn't want him to be hurt by the killer that seems to be after her. Joseph is having a hard time dealing with her trying to turn away from him and doesn't handle it well.
Exciting hot story!

Yes finally the anticipation is over

I so loved this book.
Finally Samantha and Joseph can finally be together in every way.
I've never read a book that had so much anticipation for the characters to actually do the "deed".
It was so well written that the wait was so worth it.
Love these characters.
Need more of their story.
I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Highly recommend this series.
