Recommends it for: anyone who enjoys the medieval era.
Ancel De Montfort is a man whom I definitely would want to meet, have dinner with, move into his castle. I think you ‘get’ the picture. Alexa Aston’s Bold in Honor (Knights of Honor #6) is a delight. Strong, handsome knight, an abused young noblewoman, and a view into the early reign of Richard II, son of the Black Prince and heir of Edward III. The characters are beautifully drawn, and the setting 1381 is realistically presented. The love story of Ancel and Lady Margery Ormond is dramatic, but ...more

This story takes place during the turbulent times of a peasant’s rebellion England in 1381 against what they deemed as exorbitant taxes and unfair advantages of the noble class. It’s a story of betrayal and collusion, trust and loyalty, and how all of those experiences affected the lives of the characters. The current King of England was very young in age, but very mature in character and experience due to his taking on the great responsibilities of his country while still very young for a ...more

Actual historical events are cleverly incorporated into the fictional situations in BOLD IN HONOR, and each set of circumstances had me believing all developments took place as portrayed. I always enjoy a book where the past comes alive through creative writing, and Alexa Aston manages to make her latest story in the Knights of Honor series constantly fascinating. From peasants revolting to the daily life of someone living in this period of time to political troubles, BOLD IN HONOR is highly ...more

This book was a wonderful story in this series and gets better with each book. Each story just wants you to read the next.

I probably say this about all of the books in the Knights of Honor series, but Bold in Honor is probably my favorite of all of the far. One of the main reasons being that the story started out with action. I love books that throw me straight into the story, no holds barred. Being a Medieval setting, one expects fighting and battles. With this one, key historical time settings sees the

Ancel de Montfort's story is finally here! It was a very good read that went at a great pace. I have discovered this new author since book one of this series. I truly have enjoyed every single story. This one was quite good as well. I love revisiting with Ancel's parents Geoffrey and Merryn De Montfort. They were the original hero and heroine of book 1, Word of Honor, which is my favorite in the series.

Sir Ancel de Montfort is doing his duty for King and country and comes across a woman on the

This is the fifth book in the series by this author and it’s really good. In this story, fourteenth century England is going through a time of turmoil as there is a rebellion taking place. Serfs and peasants are demanding change and rising up and causing death and destruction in their wake. It is against this backdrop that Lade Margery meets Lord Ancel. Margery has been victim of a horrific incident and is running to escape with her life. It is only by pure circumstance that Lord Ancel sees her, ...more

When the young King Richard the second came to the throne he needed the most trustworthy men for his personal guard. Sir Ancel de Montfort was honored to be given the duty.

When the peasants revolt takes place many of the nobility are killed by the rebels.

Lady Margery Osmond is little more than a slave in her stepfather's house. He and his sons are vicious bullies. This behaviour will seal his fate.

This is an exciting journey into a troubled time in English history. Our wonderful hero has got

Lady Margery Ormond flees Highfield as the uprising begins and members of her noble family are slaughtered. Sir Ancel rescues her in the midst of battle and returns Margery to her home, swearing to protect her. Margery loses her heart to the dashing knight and is thrilled when the king decides to reward Ancel by gifting him with Highfield and marriage to Margery. Margery has been stuck in a life of drudgery and sadness feeling like there was no escape or hope. After that terrible night when she

From the heart-pounding beginning, to the final page, "Bold In Honor" delivers a passionate read. Treated as a servant instead of a Lady, Margery survives the uprising that leaves her mother and stepfather dead. Ancel de Montford is sent, by the King, to quell the peasants and to protect and prepare the Manor for the future. Margery and Ancel declare their love and then, under the King's Order, he must leave. There are betrayals, intrigue, and as always, love. Another wonderful addition to the ...more

Seriously, what is with the crazies in this series. OMG. Sorry, moving on. This is a loving story about a knight (Ancel) who falls head over heals in love. From a child to a man, we have seen Ancel grow up in the previous books and now we get to see him save Lady Margery in more ways than one. These two are perfect for each other and even thought we kind a new what was going to happen I still really enjoyed every part of it. Now its time to read his brother Edwards book which is up next. Can’t ...more

Code of Honor

Another great book written by Alexa Aston! I have enjoyed all of her books and reading about the
de Montfort family.
This story is about Ancel de Montfort who is an advisor to the young King Richard.
There is also Lady Margery Ormond who lived at Highfield with her cruel stepfather and his sons.
There is a lot happening in this book that it would be best to read it. I would also suggest that reading books 1-5 would be enjoyable also. HAPPY READING

Loved and hated

This book brought love and admiration for Angel and Margery and hatred for her stepfather and stepbrothers. The story of the uprisings by the peasants initially had my sympathy because of the way they were treated but the sheer brutality had me sickened.

Loved this book

I have read all of the books that you have written in this series and I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed reading the others. I hope you continue to write stories about this amazing, living family.

Nasty, nasty villains, a revolt, a woman pushed almost beyond endurance and a worthy knight make for an interesting tale of love.
