To save myself, I must kill my own heartbeat....

My bewildered eyes flickered with an orange glow as something inside me craved for another drop of blood. The red liquid's rusty and salty taste was nothing less than heaven to me...wait..what heaven? there wasn't any heaven for someone like me...

Yes, I was that unique breed, the 'werepire' a rare and powerful one that wa

Original review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Annora Wilson!

Incrusted: Hiding the Demon Within tells the story of Ingrid. Ingrid and her aunt are always moving and this is the first time that she could choose where they were staying because Ingrid is going to college. On the first day of college, strange things are happening and Ingrid doesn’t know what to do. She’s always had these visions, but one that day she meets a man with red eyes. And si

Just when you thought it was safe, when all combinations had been used, and when all was good.

I'm excited about the new way, old options and plots, are used in this book. I'm really glad that I took the time to wait. (Sometimes the old computer just needs a kick in the ass.) I am surprised about the new double combination of the main character. It really works! I don't think this has been used before, so that adds to the attraction. We are left to sit on the edge of our favorite chair, wondering

The Book kept me reading Even though I had pretty much figured out what she “was”. I like the idea of the book. I like the way it was unfolding. My only big gripe Is that I don’t like books which leave you hanging. Had I known this, I possibly would’ve waited till both books were out. Otherwise it’s interesting read.

This is the first book by Annora Wilson, and I can safely say, it won't be my last.

Incrusted:Hiding Yhe Demon Within, was a page turner, it had me hooked. I must admit, I went into this book blind. I did not read the blurb, I downloaded and took the plunge. The Prologue intrigued me enough to keep going and I wasn't disappointed. The main character Ingrid, held my attention, you feel like you are travelling this journey with her. I also like the different POVs, as this gave some depth to the sto

To me the book starts out very strong and had me turning page after page, in order to find out exactly what kind of paranormal creature our dear heroine is. However, after reading about 60% it quickly became clear that this book is one of many of the typical cliche where:

📚 Female is extraordinary
📚 Male(s) notice
📚 Feelings are developed
📚 The hero(s) and heroine feels the bliss from their shared love
📚 The heroine hears a small part of a conversation and loses all hope and faith.

Been there and read

Ingrid lived with her Aunt and was finally going to college when her world was tilted on its axis after she found out she was a very rare creature and was in fact a "werepire" - an amazing combination of two different paranormal races that had the power to destroy all the night creatures. She also met and fell for a sexy vampire who charmed her, and met a werewolf who made her feel safe and was the heir to a powerful clan. Having discovered what she is she now craves blood and is trying to despe ...more

4.5 stars

I love paranormal books especially vampire and shifters. I can’t believe this book combined the two within one girl. Ingrid is a college student that moves around aunt never setting down roots and making friends. She’s always felt a little off because of the visions she has that come to pass. One day she meets two very sexy, alpha men and that’s when her world is turned upside down. Supernaturals do exist and she is a hybrid of a vampire and werewolf. The two species don’t get along an

The book was overall a good page turner. Most of the story was expected from the usual supernatural/romance patterns. I'd officially give the story 3.5 stars as the author ended on a cliffhanger and I hate books that end without a firm closure even if more is directly implied after. The author did a better than average job when character hopping in her book, as each chapter is from a different perspective, with only minimal overlap, so the story continues forward instead of rehashing from Ingrid ...more

"An Incredible Paranormal Romance"
This story is truly exciting. It will keep you glued to it's pages. Even though I usually do not like cliffhangers. This story won my heart.
Ingrid thought she was just a unique human girl. Growing up she knew she had visions. And that her Aunt was always moving them from place to place. Then one day she meets two sexy men Nathan and Derek. After this she learns her life has been a lie. That Ingrid is a Werepire. She is half vampire and half werewolf. This puts

Very good, unusual, but very good. Spoiled by a silly and lame ending. I have never read, or heard in real life, someone coming to the door and saying, not in the exact words, but you get the gist of it. "Thanks for getting the girl to trust you, we'll take her from you." I just find it too incredulous that someone pops up from nowhere to say those words. It really spoiled the story at that point. Hope the next book has a more appealing end. And yes, I am looking forward to reading it.

Good Read

An interesting storyline. The characters are unique and their lives are intertwined by circumstances that pull them together. This is a quick read with the appeal of the paranormal world.

Welcome to my new favorite paranormal story. This is the story of Ingrid. She lives with her aunt who has taken care of her most of her life because her parents are deceased. They move from town to town and she has a strict curfew. She is now starting her first year of college and is in the fashion program. Everything in her life seems to falling in place. Then her life is turned upside down. As if having her heart fall for two men (Derek and Nathan) wasn't enough she also discovers she is far f ...more

What an awesome beginning to a great paranormal adventure. This story is about Ingrid who is a college student and she thinks there is nothing special about her. That is until two men enter her life. One is a friend and potential lover. The other is a mentor. They know that she is special. And once it comes to light to her that she is special, that is when it all breaks lose. She learns that her strict but loving aunt is more than she says she is. And that Ingrid herself is a rare being. Now her ...more

Good start

This is an interesting new series but could use some editing. Several typos that were a little distracting when trying to figure out correct order of the words. Will definitely read the next one to find out what happens next.

Ingrid is a sheltered, very shy young woman who has spent her entire life moving from place to place. Orphaned at a very young age, her Aunt Stella can’t seem to put down roots anywhere. Ingrid is a hybrid, half werewolf and half vampire, just coming into her powers. Unaware of who or what she is, as she has been hidden magically all her life by her guardian aunt. Intriguing storyline that ends in a cliffhanger. But there's lots of action and a sizzling romance for Ingrid and Nathan. A very entertaining first installment! I did receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wow. I enjoyed this book a lot. Ingrid is oblivious to who she really is. 2 men come into her life. One is something of a mentor and the other a friend/love interest. She has an overbearing protective aunt. Once she discovers what she is (psst! Spoiler! Werepire!) She tries to figure out how to survive. If you looking for an intriguing book with some shocks and unexpected events, this is the book for you!

An intriguing tale told by the 3 main characters: Ingred the college student who has some strange things going on, Nathan the bad boy vampire, and Derek the werewolf who's next in line to be his pack's alpha. Rich descriptions with a good storyline and interesting characters. A drama filled paranormal thriller/romance.

The simplest word I can say is Wow! Ingrid is unique and can't believe how much more her life is altered after a party she never intended to attend. Ms. Wilson created a wonderful world of vampires and werewolves and her characters are well developed. I'll definitely be reading more of her book soon!

Hello there!
Thank you for stopping by to read about me. My name is Annora, I was a studious girl in my high school, I always loved to read and write stuff. I used to write stories when I was in school. Now, when I look back, they seem quite amusing to me :):). When I got into college, I pursued my passion for writing, I really loved it as a hobby. Then Twilight came out. I absolutely loved the se
