After her parents died Aurora Clayton did what any good daughter would do, she moved back home with the good intentions to revitalize her parents business - The Last Resort Motel. The thing is that near the end her parents let it go and it is now a tad rundown and since there is a new Interstate, not many people pass through this way. It is a place where one night stands happen, people escape too and a place for those who are on the run. You know the type, the ones who pay in cash for no questio ...more

This is the first book I have read from this author and wow she blew me away. I love romance novels but this author gives you twists and turns you don’t see coming. This is the first book in this series and I was hooked right from the start. This book is the perfect way to start off an amazing series. I devoured this book in only a couple of hours.

The Last Resort Motel: Room One by Gwyn McNamee is one of twelve books in this series by twelve different authors. If I had to describe this book with one word it would be WOW! I loved this book and can't wait for the next one to come out! This is one of my favorite books by this author. I love her books as I know I can always count on hot, steamy romance with suspense added, this one is no different. Her writing style is such that the story is easy flowing and fast paced. The Last Resort: Room 101 by Gwyn McNamee is the first book in The Last Resort series. It is a contemporary romantic suspense, with tension, intrigue, mystery and a whole lot of SEXY fun. I just adore all of Ms. McNamee’s books- she never disappoints, always presenting stories that keep me totally rapt in every word, right from the beginning until the very last word. This story is certainly no exception- as it is every bit as good as I expected it to be, and more…

It may be a short story, but it sure is full of action!

Aurora Clayton tragically lost her parents in an accident six months ago & moved home from Vegas to take over their run down motel. Max Lawson inherited some land from his Grandfather that had been in his family for generations. Neither one of them expected the sparks that would fly when Max checked into “The Last Resort”.

I often find novellas lacking when it comes to the believability of a couple’s relationship & the “insta-love” f

This story has everything! Wonderfully unique setting, authentic yet heroic characters, and lots of action and suspense to keep the story moving. Max and Aurora have an almost instant connection, but recognizing the temporary nature of their time together they each are trying to protect their hearts. This author doesn't pull any punches with the danger inherent in the situation, so be prepared to gasp and hang on for a few white-knuckle chapters! I enjoyed the pace of the romance, moving along s ...more

I loved this book. There was action and suspense, there were steamy scenes, the characters had a connection, everything was well written. The connection made by the characters was almost instant, but they knew the situation would only be short-lived. They tried to protect their hearts, but ultimately found their HEA. The set-up is great for the books that will be following from the other authors. Another great quick read story by a great author.

Short but awesome!!! Max and Aurora happen fast but the writing is so good it's totally believable. The suspense is intriguing and captivating. The romance isn't over the top. And the action is fantastic. Every book I've read of this author's has been spot on for me. It's exactly what my English teacher would call a skirt story. Long enough to cover the subject but short enough to keep it interesting. Great start to this series.

This was an absolute great read. I loved how the characters had depth and they had goals. Even though this was a short read the story still progressed at a decent pace. It wasn’t rushed and I loved the evolution of their relationship. I can’t wait to read the rest of the stories in this book!!

Great start to a new multi author series! Even though it's a novella, you do get a good story, decent detail and there's enough time for a little organic chemistry and Not as much insta love, which is my biggest turn off on novellas that aren't featuring an already established couple.

The Last Resort Motel: Room 1 by Gwen McNamee a sublime five-star read. This is the first story about a place called the Last Resort Motel each book tells the story of a different room twelve rooms by twelve authors and this room is number one, the room that Mr Maxwell Lawson a well-muscled California hunk is staying in for a couple of nights this peaks the interest of motel manager/owner Aurora Clayton she doesn’t see many men like Max arrive at the motel and when she finds out what he’s gettin ...more

The first book of the new year is done, and wow what a journey.
Living in the middle of nowhere doesn't come with a lot of perks, but when California Boy Max shows up at the last resort motel, Things go from downright dull to adventurous for Aurora.
Max is there to see if his family's legacy was all he thought it would be. He's not expecting Aurora.

The Last Resort Motel: Room One by Gwyn McNamee was a surprising fast pace action/steaming mystery thriller that had me capture from the first word until the last.

I don't know what it is about this year, but so far I'm having a wicket streak of find new books, that are blowing me away. The Last Resort Motel Room One by Gwyn McNamee was a 5 star read! It was a very simple love story, that taken place in basically the middle of nowhere in Nevada. You have Aurora, who is the owner of the Last Resort, and there is never any clients or basically anyone who stays there. It is always empty at all times. Besides her and Maggie. So when this new hot guy, who she has her eyes set on, comes into this motel of hers, she wonders what is his real purpose for being up there, then realizes it ...more

After the death of her parents, she is forced to move back to the failing motel and decide what the future holds for it. This sudden change in her life is evident in Aurora feelings toward the motel, as she struggles with enjoying the childhood it gave her and the sad and sorry state it is in now. I give The Last Resort Motel: Room One by Gwyn McNamee 4 stars.

This is a great romance book! It's not very big, so you could easily spend the afternoon curled up on the couch, enjoying this book. And there's so much more going on than just the heated romance that seems to be happening.

Aurora is stuck at this crumbling down motel in the middle of nowhere. Then he walks in. A gorgeous California surfer dude type. He is so hot, she feels things she hasn't felt in a long time. But people don't hang
