এবাদতনামা

বাংলা কবিতার ইতিহাসে ‘এবাদতনামা’ একটি অনন্য ঘটনা। কাব্যের ভিতরে একটি জনগোষ্ঠীর বহুমুখী ও বিচিত্র অভিজ্ঞতার অনাগত ভূগোল আবিষ্কার ও ধারণ করবার সাহস নিয়ে পঙক্তিগুলো নিবেদিত। এবাদতনামায় তাই কবি ফরহাদ মজহার বাংলার ভাব ও ভাষাকে নতুনভাবে মোকাবিলার মধ্য দিয়ে সংস্কৃতির পুনর্গঠনের নতুন অর্থের বিচ্ছুরণ ঘটাতে চেয়েছেন। ফলে ফুল ও পাপড়ির ধর্মে মৃদঙ্গও ইবাদতের অনুষঙ্গ হয়ে যায় অনায়াসে। আদরিনী শ্যামা মেয়ের ব্যাকুল আহ্বান আর রামকৃষ্ণ সমীপে রক্তিম জবা ফুল নিবেদনের যৌথতায় ক্রমে পরিস্ফুট হতে থাকে ভাব ও ভক্তিরসে উদীয়মান সম্প্রদায় অতিক্রান্ত এক যূথবদ্ধতা। বাংলা কবিতায় এ এক অভূতপূর্ব বাঙলা, যেখানে বিপুল বৈচিত্র্যের সংশেষ আত্মস্থ করে দৃশ্যমান হয় বিদ্যতার স্বাদ। আর কবি মিলনে অপেক্ষায় অভিসারের প্রস্তুতিতে আরো বেশি মগ্ন।

Farhad Mazhar (ফরহাদ মজহার) is a Bangladeshi writer, columnist, poet, social and human rights activist, and environmentalist.
He graduated with honours in pharmacy from the University of Dhaka in 1967 and worked as a pharmacist in New York in the seventies and eighties. Mazhar also studied political economy in New School of Social Research. He is the founding member and managing director of UBINIG (Policy Research for Development Alternative) a policy research and advocacy group in Bangladesh working as an integral part of the community with the grassroots people to strengthen common resistance against the dominant processes of globalisation as well as creating space for strategic negotiations whenever possible.

বাংলা ভাষায় ইসলাম ধর্মের অনুষঙ্গ আর মিথ ব্যবহারে এই কাব্যগ্রন্থটি স্বকীয়। শামসুর রাহমানের কবিতায় আমরা পাই ইকারুসের কথা,স্যামসনের কথা। কিন্তু ফরহাদ মজহার সেদিকে পা বাড়ান নাই। কয়েক ডিগ্রি ঘুরে তিনি কবিতার এমন এক উপকরণের দিকে গেছেন যেখানে জনসংখ্যা কম, প্রাচুর্য কম। আর সেইখানেই স্বকীয়তা।
