This is a reproduction book of one written in either the very late 1800's or early 1900's, so it is a bit of a historical book to read to young children. I really enjoyed teaching and learning about how things were done (like the printing presses and what was used out of cows back then, etc). My boys and I spent a year reading through it. There were a lot of tales too. It was pretty cool, but you have to explain what is done today instead afterwards. It was a bit of Language Arts mixed with History and Social Studies and some Science in one book.
