Splat has a new job. He's going to deliver newspapers. But he is having a few problems. Kitten helps him come up with some inventions to solve his problems. But will Splat ever stop having problems with his job? There seem to be lots!

Cute easy reader for beginning readers. The reader follows Splat's journey as a not-so okay news-cat to a fantastic news-cat. Publisher puts this at a reading level 2 - high interest, lovely illustrations. Words are a bit harder than the Pre-Readers/Level 1s. Would be good for independent reading, or for reading along with a parent at bedtime.

Cute book with a problem-solving plot. (Though the solution they decide on requires Splat to either give up half his pay or for Kitten to just work for free...)
It was fun to see the sequence of problems, though!

And I think I need one of those alarm clocks...
Splat the Cat has his first job, and it's delivering papers. Splat is having trouble being good at his job, so with some help from Kitty and her inventions Splat finally gets good at delivering the paper to his customers.
Splat the cat has a job delivering newspapers. He isn't very good at it. So he identifies his problems and works to solve them. Kids will find the story humorous!
