Information is power and today, there is a tremendous amount of data about people available due to technology. The European Union is putting measures in place to ensure personal details are managed securely. Implementing the changes to be in compliance with the new regulation is no small task. Punit Bhatia has written a valuable guide entitled ‘Be Ready For GDPR’. The book thoroughly outlines requirements of the new law as well as provides helpful tips. The book is a quick read and a tool which can be referenced throughout the process of preparation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

I expected something more of a guidelines with examples on what the law targets, this book seems like a presentation for the board members:
-- we need to hire/delegate this to people who will do the job
-- we need the budget for this
-- it's really important, therefore analyse.

I do see how this would work for an old fashioned hierarchical enterprise where everything's is delegated to the responsible person. But for me this was a total miss, I have nothing to bring to our company after reading this.

I don't think I saw a single law referenced. Hardly a complete guide, but will fulfill the executive, birds eye need.
