The partnership between Yue and Hajime was briefly cute until it got weird. It was entirely unnecessary for Yue to look twelve and also be naked. The action scenes were difficult to follow. There was a character at the end that sounded interesting but their discussion with him was completely glossed over.

Not going to lie, this is one of my favourite isekai's out there. Yes, it is huge power fantasy, but that is part of the draw. I've seen the anime, read the light novel, and now I am reading the manga.

I have to say, there is a lot to the manga that I like over the light novel and the anime. As with any manga adaptation, it's always nice to see how things are interpreted and fleshed out in a visual medium as it transitions from written word. And unlike the anime, there is a bit more room to include things that the anime may or may not have had to cut for time.

This manga is the best of both worlds I find, it both adds to the story visually, but also doesn't leave out a whole lot like the anime does. It's interesting seeing the story play out panel to panel and the art perfectly captures every element, from the intense action to the small and brief fanservice scenes.

I am probably going to keep buying the electronic and physical copies of this book, and continue to purchase the series. If you are a fan of Arifureta and have been wondering about the manga, I highly recommend it. It's a good adaptation.

Manga volumes never cover as much ground in a single volume as something like a light novel. Duh, I know. But in this case you almost need to read vol. 1 and 2 together. Whatever the case I think vol. 2 does skip a lot, but it didn't feel so rushed as vol.1 did. Maybe because Hajime and Yue are together. Whatever the case it was better than vol. 1 but the light novel is still better than the manga so if you're liking the manga, look up Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest, Vol. 1 for sure.

Verdict: Pretty solid volume. If you're liking it and haven't read the LN then pick that up and you'll get a lot more detail.

This volume is mostly developing Hajime and Yue's relationship through the time stuck in the dungeaon trying to get out. It's a solid continuation. My only problem is black and white fight scenes in manga can be confusing and in this on especially since it takes place in a dark dungeon.

Overall pretty solid continuation. I still love the world thats been establised as well as Hajime as a protagonist.

Wow, they kept up the pace

I'm amazed they kept of the pace of action like that 2 volumes in a row. Plus we finally got a decent amount of world building in this one. Still lacking in some character building thus far, but I guess that makes sense given the events so far. Hopefully we start seeing more of that soon.

Having a Vampire Princess fall in love with you. Seems more like a romance story.

Our synergist can create granates and yet those people from last issue couldn't figure out what to do with him? In addition, how does he know how to create them in the first place?
Also, Yue is more than 300 years old and stopped aging when she was twelf? What twelve-year old has breasts like those? And considering that her species usually matures as quickly as humans, I can't stand that she is more than 300 years old and imprisoned for most of the time but acts like a child.
And later on they venture into an underground forest and dinosaurs. Granted, in game dungeons I would expect that, but how exactly does that work? And as much as the story is no longer interesting, the artwork is often pretty damn good, like this double page attack on the Hydra. Which makes some others of less quality really weird.
Apparently they are in the lowest level of the dungeon for 2 months now. How do they know that? And considered that the level-up gave them divine magic makes me wonder whether he was pushed into the dungeon on purpose. I mean, all of this is awfully convenient isn't it?
In the end I noticed something: he can do magic without a circle, he fell, he has a protestic arm thanks to his divine magic now... is this a reference/rip-off to Fullmetal Alchemist? I mean the prostetic arm is even fully functional.

The developing relationship between the two main characters is very good to see, also the differing way the MC is gaining his powers is rather unique, in that i haven't seen that in the Isekai manga i have read up to now.

This series is pretty derivative of other, better, portal fantasies, but it's still a decent read.
