A pretty good overview of everything you need for basic commentary, from tools to techniques. A bit dated, but still valuable.

With this book, you can build a house or small, commercial building from the ground up. If your goal is a little less grandiose like repairing the door leading from the garage into the kitchen, this can help you do that too.
Every tool and building material mentioned is defined for its use and then an example is given on how to use it. Excellent information and clearly laid out in simple English for even they guy (or gal) who has never set foot in a hardware store. Very recommended!

Basic Carpentry is a textbook that walks through the process of building a house. John Capotosto discusses the tools and techniques necessary to accomplish this feat.
The book is from the 1970s, so many of the measurements and standards may have changed.
I enjoyed the book. Thanks for reading my review, and see you next time.
