She’s no princess. He’s no prince. Then again, they never wanted a fairy tale.

Cassie Allbright takes no prisoners. A half-Cuban ball-busting attorney, she’s too tough to admit what she wants in bed. But tough is the only way to cut it in her high-powered firm, and Cassie doesn’t need a knight in shining armor. And she definitely doesn’t need Patrick Dunham—an arrogant, cha

How did it work, when you didn’t think you were dominant or submissive, but fell somewhere in between? What did it mean when you liked to fight, but wanted a man who would fight back? Cassie was tough, but what she hungered for was to be taken down— to feel that satisfying push in a way that was both arousing and terrifying.

From the beginning this book was a fun and sexy treat.

Favorite Quote #2: "I really don't like you."

Cassie grabbed him by the collar and closed her fist around his shirt.

"Good," she said, and kissed him, hard.

Her Claim by Rebecca Grace Allen is the second steamy BDSM themed romance in her Legally Bound series. Laywers in lust (and love) are the stars here, and Her Claim takes an enemies to lovers trope and adds some fiery chemistry to make for an exciting and sexy read.

Cassie Allbright is a hard working, no nonsense attorney. She’s half Cuban but keeps the Latino side of her character more subdued at work, already having to prove herself in a male dominated environment. She wants to make partner and

What do you do when you have so many sexual fantasies that you are afraid to ask for? When they are a bit dark and you're afraid that if you speak them allowed you'll be looked at as a freak? What happens when months of flirting turns into something more? With Cassie and Patrick we have an interesting realization, the fact that they constantly fight and bicker would be a major turn off for most people but for them it was like foreplay so when Patrick asks Cassie what one fantasy of her she wante ...more

OMG I loved this book!!! Rebecca Grace Allen is a new to me author but boy did she blow me away. I absolutely loved this book. I love Cassie and Patrick and thought they were PERFECT for each other. This novel was SO GODDAMN SEXY it was insane!! It had dark-ish elements (that were Hot AF) but more so they had a connection that could not be denied. I LOVED their fiery and spirited banter and how Cassie's sassy spitfire personality was what eternal bachelor Patrick needed!! Gah!! I could not get e ...more

I read a lot of Romance. Like I read between 3-5 books in a week. This is both wonderful and boring. It's great because I love romance. It sweeps me away and I can easily get lost in a book for several hours. It's not so great because sometimes it gets a little repetitive. Even reading different authors, I still come across a lot of similar stories and characters. So what does all of this have to do with Her Claim? It was so fantastically different. I'm so high on thi

His Contract, the first book in the Legally Bound series, was one of those books that surprised me with how much I ended up loving it, so when Her Claim was announced I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and O.M.G was it soo good! It’s titillating, sexy, fascinating and a lot of fun to read as two sworn “enemies/frenemies” find that they are actually perfect for each other in more ways than either could imagine.

I loved Cassie. She is a force to be reckoned

I'm STILL in a book hangover from this fantastic, fiery, sexy-as-hell read from the amazing Rebecca Grace Allen. What a story! This is a stand-alone story with characters from the same world, so not having read the first book wasn't a hindrance--though I have to be honest, I one-clicked the heck out of Book 1 as soon as I was done with this one!
Cassie is absolutely my kind of heroine: smart as hell and funny as my favorite girlfriends, but still unsure about wanting her professional success at

Admittedly, BDSM isn’t always my cup o’ tea… it has to be done in a way that works for me, so there are only a few that I honestly trust to do it right, and Rebecca Grace Allen is one of those.
This is a book 2 in a companion series, you don’t need to read book 1 to know what’s going on, but some of the characters and their situations will make more sense if you do.

Cassie Allbright, best friend to His Contract's Lilly Sterling, is basically the social arch-nemesis of Patrick Dunham, Jack's best friend. She's focused, fiercely loyal and won't take bullshit from anyone, not as she's slowly rising up in her firm, about to make partner. She's been burnt before but is somehow holding on to the hope of finding someone who will be compatible and fulfill her every desire, even if she's not sure on how to voice them. Which could explain why Patrick, who's been teas ...more

This was a pretty good read, but it wasn't as great as the first book. My biggest problem was with Cassie. She turned into a judgmental B at one point in this and I just couldn't get past that.

Both characters seem to be a bit immature for their age, at least initially. Patrick is 47, I believe, and at that age, you'd think he'd have his life together, but he's a complete mess. He's working a job he hates, is a man-whore and refuses to date because of a bad breakup 20 years ago. Yes, 20 YEARS!!!

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

This is the second book in this series and I would recommend that you read the first book, as there are a lot of the nuances between these two characters that start in book 1.

This is the second book in the series. I would say that you will understand more of the background if you read them in order, but this definitely stands strong as a book in its own right too. They are both very good stories, so why miss out!

Sexy, dark, enemies to lovers romance

I am enjoying Rebecca Grace Allen's Legally Bound series very much. Cassie and Patrick met in the first book His Contract where sparks briefly flew between them. However while I encourage the reader to read book one as its a great story this book works well as a stand alone read.
I initially found Casdie and Patrick's characters in Her Claim a little hard to take because of the animosity that seem to drive every conversation but as their back stories and true

I received Her Claim (Legally Bound #2) by Rebecca Grace Allen through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Cassie is turning 39 she needs to land a big client to put her back on track to make partner. She’s part Cuban and has always felt that she hasn’t fit in. Plus she’s a woman so at work she feels she has to work twice as hard in the white male world.
Patrick is stuck in a job he hates, he only took over because it was the only way he could get his inheritance. It was the only way his

This book ticked all the boxes for me. I loved both main characters, two mature adults, neither of whom was afraid of who they were or what they wanted. Cassie and Patrick have a love/hate relationship that evolves into so much more. And I loved that both characters were able to be open and honest with one another. It was a multi-layered story about two people who truly connect physically and emotionally. This was my first book by Rebecca Grace Allen, but it will definitely not be my last. She’s ...more

This is the first book by this author I have had the privilege of reading and enjoyed it immensely. It was refreshing to read a book that was not new adult. Cassie and Patrick, enemies at first finding they not only had the same interests but wonder if they are actually falling in love. It was intriguing to read a BDSM story that was new to both characters. Their story held passion and believability. A great series that you won’t want to miss.

Words cannot describe how excited I was when this little beauty showed up in my inbox. Actual happy dancing may have occurred. The whole time I was reading His Contract, there was a little voice in the back of my mind whisper-shouting, "But what about Patrick?" Cassie (to a lesser degree at the time) intrigued me as well.

If you've read His Contract (and if you haven't, why the hell not?), you know that Patrick and Cassie are the proverbial oil and water. I didn't look beneath the surface, and as

For me, an erotic romance has to check 2 major boxes...1 hot sex and 2 sweet romance. A third for any book, romance or not, is believability. Even in fantasy and science fiction, you need to be able to stay in a story and not roll your eyes too much. So let’s get started...

As to the sexy times/hot sex...lukewarm and repetitive. It lacks passion. I have Read some books where the sex scenes seem to be so real and hot I thought my tablet would melt..this isn’t one of them.

“Her Claim” is a rock-solid, sizzling hot love story about two people who think they know just what they want in love and life. Their lives get turned upside down as they battle each other through sexual angst into a simmering, unconventional relationship. Of course, there’s nothing more enjoyable than watching as this happens, as it all goes south.

The forbidden is often what we desire most! With the second book in the Legally Bound series, we get drawn into the story of the BFF’s of the couple from the first book in the series, Jack and Lilly. While I found it impossible to love Cassie and Patrick more than I did Jack and Lilly, I did enjoy their story a lot and loved getting to see the old gang back together again throughout their book. This book contains some very taboo sexual fantasies, so only read if you can handle that. Overall, it’ ...more

Another fabulous contemporary romance by Rebecca Grace Allen. I didn't read the first book in this series, but I'm assuming that it, like this one, is kink-focused. High-powered lawyer Cassie Allbright (39 years old, half Cuban, half Caucasian) has been "battling the gender gap and racial bias" for as long as she can remember. And she's just been told by one of the boys' club partners at her firm that she hasn't yet made herself "invaluable" to the firm, and that she needs to bring in more big b ...more

Her Claim reads like a romance for the 21st century with its focus on trust and consent and its biracial, body-positive heroine. At the same time, it is also an erotic and even downright kinky romance, where the hero and heroine explore areas of edge-play that make them realize that the most important thing in any relationship is trust-something that neither of these adults have a whole lot of experience with in relationships. But they certainly do have a fair amount of both experience and battl ...more

The combination of a wealthy businessman who isn't prepared to commit to anything other than making conquests for one night only, and an ambitious attorney whose progression in her career comes first makes for a steamy and challenging read.

Patrick never wanted to inherit his father's business, except for the money, but his father had the last laugh.

Cassie is an attorney who thrives on getting her clients back on the business ladder. She is not interested in any entanglement even though her moth

This was a brilliant read! Definitely one that kept me up at night, both because it was exciting and because it was packed with excellent sexual tension to really get you craving more.

Allen created a story with two characters who are perfect for each other in some ways and can be each other’s nightmare in others. They seemed to be driven toward one another, and it really made things hot. I liked the sexier scenes they shared, and Allen made sure to keep those nice and detailed, of you to really

This book is not for the lighthearted I’ll tell you that. When I finished it I wasn't quite sure what to think about this book. I mean I wasn't sure if I like it or simply hated it. But after having time to think about it and re-reading a few chapters I think I’m in the I-liked-it-a-lot boat.

The banter between Cassie&Patric was so funny. I loved their chemistry. I really liked how Patrick was in tune with her desires even when at first he wasn't too comfortable with fulfilling them.
