This is an excellent book. Schlatter is to the point in describing the challenges involving the industry and how to become engaged in each of the jobs. It is dense and this reader plans to look through it a second time.
It is interesting (though perhaps expected) that the best-paid jobs in museums are reserved for the fundraisers. Perhaps the best way into the museum is not academia, but business.
