I was so shocked over how quickly this read ended like 60% on my kindle? WHAT?? it was a quick great read. I enjoy the intense moments, hot and steamy moments, I have read Carter before. I guess this is sort of a play on Red Riding Hood? no? Ash is a keeper, protector, bodyguard so to speak ... the lawyer dude, gosh lost my train of thought, what's his name?? he is a real creeper ...makes u wonder about those kind of folks, do they really stand behind the law and keep on the right track or are they mean and evil?? check it out!! ( ;

This story and the quality of writing exceeded my expectations. A far cry from my first book by Mr. Blake which was a rather cheesy hot quick read(which I liked).
The physical attraction between the MC's plays out at the beginning of the novel and the relationship and story development follow. Very good HEA epilogue. (Canadian author!)

Ash Hunter🐺🍆🌋👋 is a rancher turned estate caretaker when debts force the sale of his family's nearby ranch. He hates the lifestyle of the rich 💰 old woman that lives in the estate, but it's a job, and he has his own apartment over the garage.
One 🌙night The owner's granddaughter, Ella Redmond💋👗, is almost bitten by wolves🐺 as she'strying to sneak out to meet a boy at 17 years old. Ash saves her, but he's The one that gets bitten, by the wolf and by Ella.

Six years Later. The old lady dies and granddaughter, Ella, inherits the place. She's 23 now, home from college, but she has one more year to go. The run in with wolves and Ash is in the distant past. OR NOT.

Ash🐺🍆🌋👋 is still working there, and he's even more muscled💪 and buff💪 than He was, if that's possible! Ella💋💃 wants him immediately, but he puts Her off. He doesn't trust himself around her! Ash🐺🍆🌋👋 wants Her so badly and is extremely protective of her.
Her grandmother's lawyer is there too, Jared Wolfe👹🍆🌋! And he is a wolf🐺! He's a tall handsome young man in a good suit, and he warns Red💋💃 against Hunter🐺🍆🌋, but then he invites her on a date.
Jared👹 tells her his firm will be holding the estate in trust until she is 30! She'll be in an allowance until then! She can't imagine her grandmother doing that to her. She begins to think the lawyers coerced her grandmother into letting them control the trust! Greedy, slimy, lawyers.

When Jared👹 looks at her, his eyes are hypnotizing, mesmerizing. He tells Ella💋💃 her grandmother put a clause in the will to keep her from selling, but he thinks there is a loophole around it. Ella💋💃 doesn't know what she will do with such a huge place. In their dinner date, Jared👹 asks Ella💋💃 to marry him! She doesn't even know him, but hes a stalker that knows all about her! CREEPY!
Ella💋💃 flees him and goes home to Ash🐺🍆🌋, she tells him she wants him right NOW!
Ash🐺🍆🌋👋 is a big baaaad, tatted⭐ up hunk of naaasssty man meat. He's a Spankmeister👋, too!
YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍆, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

Ash🐺🍆🌋👋 is everything Ella wants, but they are going to have trouble with Jared👹 trying to take the estate on a technicality.

Ella grew up living with her grandmother on her estate and has had a crush on the handyman Ash for a long time. Her grandmother discouraged any interaction so Ella gave up on being with Ash and went away to college. While she is away, her grandmother dies and leaves everything to Ella. Ella returns home hoping to finally get a chance with Ash. When she sees him sparks fly but there seems to be another gentleman interested in Ella, Jared Wolf. Jared is her grandmother's lawyer and trustee for her estate. Jared tells Ella that until she marries an appropriate man or turns 25, she has very little control over her finances. Jared is in control of releasing her money and gets final approval of all actions. Jared also makes it clear that he is interested in having Ella for himself. Ella is tempted by the sophisticated man who shows a great interest in her but she is still drawn to Ash.
Ash wants Ella but he knows that she is too good for him. He cares a lot about her and is distrustful of Jared's motives. Ash has previous experience with how bad of a person Jared can be because of how he treated his family. Ash wants to keep Ella safe and keep her for himself but will the price be too high.
This is an interesting retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. I loved some of the twists. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Saving Red is “A Naughty Bests & Filthy Princess Romance”, as stated on the cover of the book. A different Billionaire Love Story. The Billionaire is a young girl who falls in love with the handyman who works for her grandmother. She fell in love with Ash when she was a teenager, but she is twenty-three when she comes back home and gets her man.

Ella gets word that her grandmother has passed while she is in Europe studying for her college courses. She comes back to her grandmothers estate and finds that Ash still works there. He still acts like she is a child too. When her grandmother’s lawyer shows up to go over things with her she finds him to be very attractive, and she also finds this a chance to see where Ash really stands when it comes to her.

Ash works for Ella’s grandmother because he needs the money for his family. The lawyer that Ella meets is part of Ash’s past too, and he knows how Jared, the lawyer, is only out to get what he wants. Ash has to save Red, Ella, from danger now, just like he did when she was a teenager.

This was a short sexy read, and I really enjoyed it. If you are looking for a hot, short read, this is a great choice. I give this story a 4.5 star review.

This is a modern-day retelling of Little Red Riding Hood.
The novella starts out in an interesting way. Ella has gone out late to meet a friend and ends up surrounded by wolves. Ash hears her screams and comes to her rescue. I really thought while reading that little prologue that the book would be about shifters, since so much significance was given to the wolf bite Ash received, but it wasn't. There was a small bit of sexual tension between the main characters, enough to entice further reading.The story then picks up several years later. Ella's grandmother has passed away, and when she returns to the estate, Ella discovers she still has a crush on Ash. They begin a relationship, which is complicated by the unscrupulous lawyer, Jared Wolfe, who tries to bilk Ella of her fortune. There were a few short, sexy scenes between Ella and Ash, and then the story just pretty much ends. It's just an ok story for what it is. Not ground-breaking, but maybe good for a few hours of light fluff reading.

Little Red Riding Hood was the first ever book I read when I was Child and I never expected to read the retelling of it in such a steamy way. Ash hunter, a rancher turned groundskeeper works for Ella Redmond's Grandmother, Ella is young, 17 years old, attending boarding school away from mountains. When Ash saves her from a pack of wolves, she gets instantly attracted towards him and he comes to know she is not the innocent girl he thinks of her. Ash warns and let her go stating how dangerous it could. Now after six years, she returns to the estate after her granny death inheriting it, both still have the hots for one other and things get really heated up, when Jared Wolfe with a marriage proposal. Ash, who is all in love with her, his protecting instincts peaks up regarding the past, which make him more protective towards her. With the scorching sex and growing love between Ash and Ella, Jared fails to conquer her with his deception.

Beware The Wolf!

In this book, he has given us a modern day twist on Red Riding Hood. We meet Ella who has been in love with Ash all her life. He works for her grandmother to get money for his family. Another nice twist is that Ella is the billionairess! She is now 23 years old and has been studying in Europe but she returns to her grandmother's estate that she has now inherited when her grandmother dies. Ash is still there much to her delight and he stands beside her in her time of sorrow. Jared Wolfe is the solicitor that is not to be trusted as Ash knows very well. Ella doesn't know of Ash's reserves and concerns where Jared is concerned. This is a sweet story that I really enjoyed reading. It wasn't at too fast a pace but it most certainly was a real page turner and one that I didn't want to put down. I'm now looking forward to book 2!

Taking a beloved fairytale, spinning it into more…


A beautiful, sweet romance about a young woman wanting more, to experience love, passion and all that life has to offer but the timing is all wrong for her and a man who has caught her attention. It’s also about growing into who we are, facing challenges and being given the opportunity to test our wings and deal with unpleasant situations.

Ella finds herself years later, back home and ready for what life awaits her. She just has to navigate and decipher the intents and purposes of two mens attention. Both have a vested interest in her but each have very differing intentions towards her. Hopefully, Ella realises before its too late.

Carter Blake weaves his own twist on the tale of Little Red Riding Hood. It’s a lovely, page-turning, sexy sweet novella. Book 1 in the A Naughty Beasts & Filthy Princes series. Pure entertainment for a weekend with some time to chill and read. Sometimes you need some light reading to brighten the day - this beauty is a perfect recommend.

Normally anything that is paranormal or even fantasy is out of my wheelhouse, but I've been trying lately to add that type of reading onto my list. I'm glad I chose this book by Carter Blake to read. This was a current day take on a fairy tale and I loved reading it. I thought that it was very well written, although there were places where simple sentences seemed to slow the pace of the story down. Red and Ash made a perfect couple, especially considering they'd both waited long years before they could be together. Ash has plenty of reasons to distrust Jared Wolfe, although Red doesn't know those reasons when Jared is threatening. Overall the story was a quick read, short and sweet, with a satisfying ending, and just enough heat to make it interesting.

This is my first time reading a book by Carter Blake and I found this steamy sweet novella to be well written with just the right amount of steam. I would like to read more of Carter's books.

Ella Redmond has been attracted to Ash Hunter since she was in her teens. She would only see him when she was home from boarding school visiting her grandmother. The attraction between Ella and Ash is electric.

Ella's grandmother passed away and according to the estate attorney he controls the money until she turns 30. Jared Wolfe is just what his sir name indicates, a wolf!

Can Ella find a way around all the legal mess that seems to have been dumped in her lap by Jared or will she lose the entire estate as well as Ash?

This is a fun quick read. Ella has had a crush since she was sixteen on Ash . He was always watching out and protecting her. Her grandmother sends her away to boarding school and then she attends college so the years pass. When her grandmother passes away she returns to find her love for Ash has not faded and Ash still wants her but doesnt think he is good enough. Mr Wolfe is the trustee for the estate and he causes huge problems for Ella and Ash. Will they be able to keep Wolfe from destroying them? A hot read! Too short wanted more but enjoyed it!

Ella is Red, Jared is the Wolf, and Ash is the hunter. I like this retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood fairytale.

Ella has crushed on her family's employee, Ash, for years, but he always rejects the young woman. When she's 23, her grandmother dies and leaves the estate to her. Or does she? In comes Jared Wolfe, the estate's executor (or is that executioner), who manages to almost fleece Ella out of her inheritance. He seriously underestimated her intelligence, though. And Ella and Ash get to live happily ever after. The End.

Short, sweet and sexy and a great modern day fairytale.

Terrific modern-day spin on the familiar fairy tale. Ella has been in love with Ash for years, but he had his reasons for keeping his distance. Now she's back from college, heir to the family estate, and at the mercy of the diabolical Jared Wolfe. Ash has his own reasons for not trusting Jared, so he puts his reservations aside to stand alongside Ella and protect her from what she can't see coming. We're given just enough of the backstory to understand why the characters act the way they do without dragging the story down. The pace moves swiftly, there's plenty of heat with just a hint of suspense, and a very satisfying HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

The story isn't very long, so it moves at a very quick pace, but the plot and characters are well developed and have an enjoyable flow. Ella has had a crush on Ash, who works for her grandmother, for years. Grandmother has recently died and Ella has inherited her house, but that is just the beginning of their tale. There is danger, drama, and sexiness in this one, and just like the original, it finishes with a HEA that will make you smile.

When Jared comes in the picture all Ella wants is to be loved by someone and Ash doesn't like the fact that she's leaning towards Jared a snake. Ash does everything in his power to let Ella see that what she's doing is harming herself and everything that Ella's grandmother left to her. After Ash give Ella everything she wanted which was to be with Ash he left in order to protect her but Ella couldn't accept this. So she reads everything to find loopholes in order to bring Ash back to her forever.

This is a quick read with a twist on the childhood version. Ella’s grandmother has passed and she is left a small fortune and the family mansion. While trying to figure out what to do she starts a relationship with Ash Hunter the man she has always wanted and in comes the big bad wolf, Jared Wolfe. There is amazing chemistry between Ash and Ella and Jared breaks up this relationship with legal paperwork saying he’s in charge of everything until she is 30 or marries and he wants her to marry him. Will the big bad wolf gets his teeth into Ella or will the hunter save her from misery and a relationship without love? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This was a quick, cute retelling of the fairytale. Ella (Red) has just inherited her deceased grandmother's estate. Ash Hunter, the older object of Red's lust, works on the estate. Enter the Wolfe (insert bad lawyer joke here, lol), who proceeds to interfere in all matters and tries to drive apart Red and Ash. Ash has a couple secrets of his own and it's difficult for this strong character to make a terrible choice. Red is not to be underestimated, but can she manage to outsmart the Wolfe? Short tale well told.

Wow!! Carter Blake has done it again. He has published another fantastic read that the reader could not put down until the story was finished. The concept of this story was refreshing, the twist to the classic fairytale Little Red Riding Hood was well thought out. The pace of the book was perfect, allowing the reader to follow the story and character development easily.

As this is the first book in a series, I am looking forward to the other books to see how Carter Blake puts his twist on other classic fairytales. I highly recommend this read. Well done Carter Blake!!!

This was one hot quick read about Ella who comes home after her grandmother passes away to only be met by trouble in the form of a lawyer in a suit and tells her that even though she is to inherit thing's she has to wait till she's 30 uh...no. She soon comes across Ash who worked for her grandmother and now works for her and whom she'd had a crush on since she was 17 and now 6 yrs later thing's are about to change.

Saving Red is a quick and steamy spin on a classic fairytale. This modern day fairytale with a twist is a grown up retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Though it's a quick read it packs plenty of heat and suspense. The connection between Red and Ash is intense from the very beginning and keeps you rooting for them. With lots of drama, angst, danger, and sexiness Saving Red will keep you hooked until the very end wondering will Red and Ash get their HEA? Saving Red was a great start to this series and I can't wait to see the twist that is put on the next fairytale.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book. Loved the twist on Little Red Riding Hood! Ella has crushed on Ash for as long s she can remember and now that she is back and all grown up will he be able to keep his hands off her? Ash has always protected her at every turn while she was growing up and now that she is back to take care of her grandmothers estate he may need to protect her from Jared Wolfe as he holds the key to everything. Such a great story, I loved it and can’t wait for the others! But you will need to read this yourself to find out what happens.

**I received this ARC in exchange for an honest voluntary review** This is a play on the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood. Super quick paced plot that was too quick for my liking. Starts off with the meeting of our main characters with Ella crushing on a caretaker of the estate named Ash then fast forwards six years later to Ella's grandmother dying & leaving her the estate. Only, does she really own it? Enter the big bad Wolfe. Found the ending to be a bit abrupt before the epilogue. This story would definitely have benefited from more details. Not my favorite from Carter.

Red riding hood retake
A retelling of the famous red riding hood fairytale, only on this case there are no paranormal characters involved but real people with real circumstances. The plot is great, but it is too fast paced for my taste. I just felt that it is quite rushed and a bit lacking on the climactic part. Maybe i just wished for more but then again if you're into a short beach or any lazy day read, this one's worth a try.

Great start to what looks to be a promising new series. Awesome storyline of a modern day twist on Little Red Riding Hood. Ash works for Ella's grandmother and she's been in love with him for years but he has always kept his distance. Now that Ella's back after her grandmother passes away, the chemistry between her ans Ash is hotter than ever. They'll have to overcome some obstacles to finally get their HEA!

Red has been in live with Ash since she was 17 years old but knows he is off limits. She is too young and he works for her grandmother. But 6 years later, when her grandmother passes away,nothing is holding her back. Until Jared Wolfe threatens Ash .Jared is the lawyer who is in charge of Red's estate. Ash knows something isn't right. But he has no proof. Ash walks away after Jared makes a deal with him to support his nephew but also to do what is right when it comes to Red.

I enjoyed what there was of the story but it seemed to resolve kind of abruptly. Saving Red ends at 50% with the other 50% being previews of other books. Also, one or two of the plot details didn't make a lot of sense to me. On the plus side, there is definitely a lot of heat between Ella and Ash and the two steamy scenes are great. If wasn't for the rushed way the story ended, my rating would probably have been higher.
