With the incisiveness of the Sword of the Spirit, the author greets one each day with intensely focused quotes and a comment from Nick.

In his own words, the author declares, “In preparing Magnificent Prayer I researched many fine books by some truly great authors. But as I considered the importance of this book, I became determined to include only the very best words I could find on the subject of prayer” (7). And he did.

This is not a casual read. It will challenge you to the depths of your heart to cultivate a genuine and powerful relationship with the Author and Sustainer of prayer. As he puts it, “Those who pray to God know him better than those who don’t. As they pray, what used to be confusing or unknowable about God becomes a secret knowledge between them and their God” (129). Every day, in every way, he motivates the reader to go deeper with God.

This is a collection of daily devotions that I will not tire of rereading.
