"If I can't bring down your walls, I'll climb them."

As anyone who's read my reviews knows, I'm a rockstar romance addict. I'll read an author I've never heard of if I see a guitar on a cover. But this time, I admit I didn't even read the synopsis first, so I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that Spark was about The Crow Brothers, a rock band. I had to check my calendar to make sure it wasn't my birthday.

Another thing I can't resist is broken characters. I want to read something that

If I'm being honest here, I don't usually go for these types of books. Well, actually I'm all over the rock star ones. I love rock music and a hot rocker story is totally my jam. This one though has the element I usually avoid. Kids. I got them. I love them. But when I'm reading I want to escape into a world I don't live in. Understanding right? I thought so.

"If I can't bring down your walls, I'll climb them."

What S.L. Scott has created here was those two things combined and it worked for me. T

It took me a bit to finish this one! I just couldn’t get into it! I’m not sure what it was, but I had an extremely hard time connecting with the characters!

Spark is not your typical rockstar romance. Right from the beginning I could tell Jet Crow was different. He was written with such a genuine heart and I loved reading about him. Hannah and Jet are perfect together and it really shows throughout the book. The love Jet has for his son right at the beginning was so heartwarming and wonderful to read. I also enjoyed the appearances by members of The Resistance. I love when series overlap. Granted they have a lot to fight through during this book. Bu ...more

I found this book to be an enjoyable, ok read but i couldn't really connect with Jet and Hannah. I will say that this isn't just a rock star romance and the author created well rounded storyline, but I just felt like the 'Spark' for me, wasn't there.

I honestly had no idea what I was getting into with this choice of reading. I picked it as part of a reading challenge and rarely read "Rock Star" stories, but "you have a son" caught my attention..... and I'm glad it did.

This is a well written and engaging story about two people brought back together by an unexpected connection. I was enraptured with the story from page one and loved it. I will definitely be reading more of the Crow Brothers.

With my arms secured around his neck, I ask, “Will you fall with me?”
“I’ve already fallen. I’m just waiting to catch you.”

I am SO in love with Jet Crow! That man was beautiful inside and out. So honorable, kind - a man who knows how to care for and fight for those he loves. *le sigh* He was so dreamy from the very first moment he appeared on those pages.

My name was a curse, a blessing, a sin, a saint. I became all those as she became
I absolutely LOVED this book! Once again, S.L. Scott has hit me with the feels and I found myself wanting to fly through this book yet wanting to read it slowly so I could really lose myself in the story. There is plenty, and I mean PLENTY of chemistry between Hannah and Jet, as evidenced by the one night they were together. But that one night left a lasting impression, in all the ways! But there are reasons why Hannah went ghost after that night. I liked that Jet was ready to give up the perks ...more

Wow - What a book! Not one word was wasting in the telling, the love scenes between Jet & Hannah are hot and beautiful and sexy, did I mention hot? Getting to see the guys in The Resistance again was a bonus. The premise has been done before but nothing like this, the scene stealing Alfie will wrap you around his finger and just knowing Jet's brother's River & Tulsa are getting their own books has me looking forward to that 1-click. Oh I hope S.L Scott has one in store for Dave too.

As Always, SL Scott writes stories that come from her heart, pouring all of her emotions into her stories. Emotions that make you feel everything her characters are going through. Spark is no different. This is a romantic love story about Jett and Hannah, a story packed with emotion. It’s such a strong storyline, you won’t be able to put it down. I highly recommend this book and any other book by SL Scott. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee it.

Once I finally got into this book it was really good. I thought it started out s!ow until we finally get into the bones of the story. I couldn't put it down after that.
It's amazing from where it all started to what we find in the end. Some parts was like reading poetry or song lyrics .....yes that good.
Really enjoyed the storyline, little angst, hot sex and reading the story as it unfolds. Can't wait or Tulsa's boo.

Loved this book. A clever tale of a second chance romance mixed in with a twist. I hope there are going to be books about the brothers.

This is another one of those books that I find hard to rate. I didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it, so I’m kind of stuck trying to figure this out.

Hannah and Jet had a passionate ONS one hot summer night, only for Hannah to leave the next morning, refusing to exchange numbers with Jet so they can keep in touch. Jet’s upset because the first girl he’s felt anything for in a long time doesn’t seem to feel the same way, but time moves on. Six months later, Hannah shows up at one of Jet’s gigs telling

3 stars from me....

I liked this one. It was just ok for me. The main reason I couldn't love it was because the main character, Hannah ends up with Jet. They are great, have a great love story, besides the fact that Jet has a kid.... with Hannah's cousin. I don't know, but for me, this was kind of like breaking "bro code". I mean, they are family. I just couldn't move past that fact.

Jet is the singer of The Crow Brothers and like the name his 2 younger brothers Rivers and Tulsa are in the band as well. A little over 5 years ago Jet briefly dated a girl named Cassie. Cassie was pregnant and did not tell him. They broke up only being together for about 1 month. They went their separate ways. Now Cassie has died and Jet is an instate father to a 6 year old boy named Alfie.

Hannah and Jet spent a great night together. Neither wanted it to end by Hannah had to get back to her dyi

I loved this book. Spark is one of those books that once you start reading you do not want to put down. I am a huge fan of the Resistance Series by SL Scott so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this new rock star series. Would we see the same drama and angst? Would we feel the intense love between the two main characters as we did with Johnny and Holliday? As I started to read this story I saw how different this book is. Yes it is about and up and coming rock star, but

Fate had different intentions, when Hannah Nichols and Jet Crow came together for a one-night stand. Sparks had flown between them. Jet had pleaded with her to stay, but even though Hannah wanted to with all of her being, she was really in a bad place. So they said good-bye and thought they would never see each other again.

Six months of silence from Hannah had given Jet the distance to let her go. “Hannah!” He had only gotten the one name out of her. But there she is! Sitting at the bar and lis

Note: This ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. The full review can be read on Dog-Eared Daydreams.

Let me put this out there because this is one of the ways this book set itself apart from those that share a similar story line: Alfie is not Hannah's son with Jet, but then that's easily figured out when you check out the amount of time that's passed since they last saw one another and the fact that if you check out the blurb again, it says Hannah tells him "You have a

Spark was an interesting rockstar romance.

Things that I Liked:
1. The up and coming rock stars.
This wasn't a basic rockstar romance because the rockstars haven't actually become rockstars in this book. Instead they were at the stage of gaining recognition and just getting attention from record companies. I really liked this aspect because it was a little different because of the point of stardom the band was in. Instead of dealing with crazy fans and the high life of rock and roll, the character

Wishing for 4.5/5. Really enjoyed Jet and the Crow brothers, as well as getting to see The Resistance band members again.
Well edited.

Jet Crow and his brothers are reaching for their dream. They play consistently throughout Austin, hoping to take their band big. Along the way, Jet has a wonderful night in the arms of a stranger. Months later, the band find themselves playing in front of Johnny Outlaw. Things seem to go well, and the same night, Jet sees the beautiful stranger again. Only this tim

Spark is more than just a "rockstar romance." So much more! I was not disappointed in the suspense, love story, and angst this novel had to give.

Jet Crow is not your typical rock star. His music is his life, but only insomuch that he truly loves it and loves getting to live his dream with his brothers. Jet is one of those men that was thrown into adulthood too soon, but he made the best of it and never looked back. He has some wounds that he has not healed from yet, but they don't hold him back

This book is such a good example of things never turn out how you expect them. Hannah and Jet had 1 night, 6 months ago that neither can forget...and now here we are in the present day where things are very messy. Jet has a son (and it isn't Hannah's, but you find out the details in the beginning of the book so that isn't a spoiler)....and in a way a war has been set over custody of this amazing 6 year old Alfie.

I love the idea that Jet and his brothers (Tulsa and Rivers) are an up and coming b

Where do I start? Amazing! S.L. Scott writes incredible characters. Spark represents what all want in a book. A fantastic story, beautiful and flawed characters and pure emotional depth that makes your heart beat faster.
Right from the beginning, it was a whirlwind of a night between Jet and Hannah. And then life goes on. Jet is left with the what if and moves on with his band of brothers, Rivers and Tulsa. They are a strong band from Austin. And this might be their chance to make it big. What th

Well I knew I loved The Resistance, so when I started Spark I was hoping I would love it as well. Rock Stars are always fun and well this was all that and more. The Crow Brothers were used to playing in small clubs and not going very far with it, but they liked what they were doing. Then one night they had a celebrity in their audience. Johnny from the Resistance. He was there to listen to their band. As exciting as that was Jet Crow got another surprise, he was a Dad to a little guy he knew not ...more

WOW! Spark had it all for a rock star romance in my opinion, plus more. Hannah & Jet met when they hooked up for one night, but the next day she left without giving him any information, as she told him her life was too complicated. Months later, he comes face to face with her when she lets him know that he has a 6 year old son, and this is when the story really takes off. Spark is the first book about the Crow Brothers. It is a rockstar romance, but certainly not your typical rockstar romance. It is so much more.

Jet Crow's career is on the rise. He is in a rockstar band with his brothers. The last thing he expects is a surprise visit from Hannah, the girl he had an amazing one night stand with. Hannah is a sweet girl but she has secrets. She has not had an easy life, but she isn't a quitter.

This author did it again. She wrote a story that I became so invested in that I wanted them to be my real life friends. It was nice to have Johnny Outlaw and the boys make an appearance in this story too. She created amazing main characters as well as an adorable boy, and two brothers that I can only hope that the trust the author to use her words to tell their story.

Hannah. What a sweet selfless woman. She has has a pretty crappy life but it doesn't stop her from loving Alfie.

However, Hannah has big things going on in her life making it impossible for her to pursue anything. Jet reluctantly lets her leave the next morning.

Always interested in the arts, S.L. Scott grew up painting, writing poetry and short stories, and wiled her days away lost in a good book and the movies.

With a degree in Journalism, she continued her love of the written word by reading American authors like Salinger and Fitzgerald. She was intrigued by their flawed characters living in picture perfect worlds, but could still debate that the world
