That’s what my heart did when she stopped breathing.
Effa—the girl who illuminated my world so vibrantly.
And now with a long road in front of me, the path seems unclear.

I never thought touring with a rock band could lead to this—me falling for the lead singer just for it all to end. All the while back home, life is precarious with my sister’s treatments making everyth

This book has been on my mind since I finished the first part of the duet. Things were left in such a tension filled situation and I couldn't wait to see how things would work out.

This story picked up right where everything left off and was filled with so much emotion, revelations and love that I finished it much faster then I thought I would. I didn't want to put it down or stop reading even for a moment. I felt like one situation quickly and seamlessly flowed into the next and I didn't have a

I was really impressed with the way that Breathe left off from where Pulse finished and that was really good because it was easy to remember what had happened as well as feeling like I knew everything that happened within that moment.
It was another good book full of drama of course! Effa, Mercs and the gang don’t do anything by halves so it was dramatic and thrilling for most of the book.
Really great book and looking forward to reading more.

Part two of the story about Effa and Merc. I am a huge fan of them and how they are together. Their love is strong but is it enough to survive all the challenges they encounter? As the story begins we learn the outcome of what happened at the end of Pulse. As the story continued there was new challenges and lots of sweet memories. Everyone should have a love like they have. Add in supporting parts by the rest of the band, the crew, security and Merc’s family and you had a story I really enjoyed ...more

So this is the aftermath of Pulse.. It's not pretty but it gets so much better towards the end. Mercs has a lot to handle in this book, Effa and his sister take most of this. He's so determined to get them better that he forgets about the one thing still hanging over his head. It comes back with a vengeance. It was the blow up I've been waiting for if I'm being honest lol. This is one the best rocker series I've read lately. I love how close all the characters are and how they truly care about e ...more

Breath picks up right where Pulse left off, which in my opinion is an excellent move from the author. We were able to follow the plot without missing anything.

As we follow Merc and Effa's story we see them becoming stronger as a couple while facing everything that life throws at them.

This book has you biting your nails, holding your breath, and bouncing from your seat while reading it. You must read Pulse prior to Breath in order to understand and be able to follow the story.

You definitely need to read Pulse first or you will be lost. Breathe picks up right where Pulse ended. I love this authors stories, I’ve read just about all of them but for some reason I just can’t connect with these two characters. I did enjoy their story and I absolutely love all of the other characters, and can not wait for their books. But Mercs and Effa just don’t wow me. I did give the story 4 stars cause I really did like the story..... read this duet for yourself, if you like this author ...more

5 BEAUTIFUL BREATHE STARS!! This is the second book in the Luminous Rock series and starts where Pulse ended. Another phenomenal book by K.E. Osborn this author keeps us readers on the edge of our seats and loving every minute. I love Effa and Merc they are so perfect and exciting to watch their stories be told. I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for Rock star stories. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This book picks up right where Pulse's heart stopping cliff hanger left off. Merc becomes the hero that Effa needed and Effa is the stability that Merc craves. This book has so many emotional moments that you can't help rooting for others their inner circle and a HEA. A true rock romance without the ego and man whore, a refreshing change of pace for the genre. ...more

Breathe picks up from the cliffhanger in Pulse, keeping us riveted to the unfolding drama and the consequences ahead for Effa & Mercs' relationship. I liked the way they balanced each other out. Sure, there were iffy moments, and trust issues, but they made it seem easy.

This is an entertaining, heartwarming duet.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

This book continues right where Pulse finished and I was holding my breath during the opening few chapters. I was so involved it hurt to read this part of the book. Merc was breaking my heart and I just wanted to reach into the book and hold him. He has to deal with so much during this story, I really don't know how he copes at all.

As this story progresses you find that consequences are involved when you take stupid risks, even when you have no choice but to go down t

I'm really struggling with how to write this review without giving away the entire book but also still being able to give a good review. I really loved loved loved book 1 and was anticipating book 2 like crazy. Breathe is the crazy amazing finale to Mercs and Effa's story and it really was great...until it wasn't, at least for me. There are lots of things that I loved about this book and about KE's writing. The characters are easy to relate to and you become invested, the supporting characters e ...more

Heartache Passion and lots of Love

KE Osborn took my breath away with this conclusion to the Luminous series. BREATHE was compelling from the very first words, so much heartache, passion and love are to be found within its pages. KE Osborn has also thrown in a couple of rather tense moments that will really have your heart pumping.

Picking up directly where PULSE left off, BREATHE will have your heart in your mouth from the onset. Effa has taken her last breaths and Mercs (Kaden) is trying with

Carla's Four Star Review

Breathe is the second book in The Luminous Rock Series, and it cannot be read as a standalone.

This books picks up right where Pulse, the first book in the series, left off. Effa is in danger, and Merc does his best to save her. He is her protector, and she is his anchor.

This book is full of emotional moments that are sure to bring out all "the feels" in you. I swear, one minute you will be laughing, and the next minute you will be crying. On top of that, there are many tw

Ok .. soooo let me just say that book 2 in the Luminous Series will pull at your heart string more than book 1 !!

There is heart break, tragedy, love and life lessons learned in this book !!

The character’s flow and blend together that you can’t stop reading !!

The things Kaden and Effa go through a couple should never have to deal with .. BUT .. then again they are far from a normal couple. When they arrive back in Ligonier that is exactly what they want to be a normal couple not the rockstar stat

OMG, this book is incredible! KE Osborn is a true master/mistress of words.

Following directly from book 1, Pulse, Mercs is trying desperately to resuscitate Effa. Jett is nowhere to be found and things are very grim.

I can't say too much else as I don't want to give away too much. There is plenty of action and drama that makes your heart pump furiously but as well there are tender, loving moments too. Reader's definitely go on a wild roller coaster ride of emotions with the fabulous scenes and ev

We pick up right where Pulse left off. Mercs jumping in to do everything he can to save Effa while everyone hopes and prays she will be okay.

As we continue to watch Mercs in his role as the protector to both Effa and Keira, we also watch Effa bet the calming presence that Mercs needs. She keeps him grounded and helps him move forward with life wholeheartedly. The author brings out many emotions in the book.

I love that the story isn't completely about our m

Wow, wow, wow! KE Osborn does it again, mixing between rocker, small town, heartbreak and secrets all in one fantastic book and series. Breathe has all of that and great romance, cant get much better than that.

Picking up where Pulse leaves off Effa is in trouble (big trouble) and Mercs does everything he can to save her - what they don't realize is trouble is still following them and the secrets they keep could break them apart in the end. Told in dual POV's we get both sides of this s

Breathe by KE Osborn is the second book in the Luminous series. It is part two of the duet so you’ll need to read Pulse first. Merc and Effa’s journey continues in this amazing story! Ms. Osborn kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading. Breathe is full of twists and turns and varying emotions.

Without giving too much away...Breathe picks up exactly where Pulse ended. Merc catches Effa in a horrible situation and tries to resuscitate her. The man who drugged her is nowh

OK so hopefully if you are reading this book you have already finished book one and know it ended on a cliffhanger that had me screaming nooooooo. I couldn't wait to see where the story went and have to say it was better than I imagined. I rated Pulse a 4star but noted there were some 5 star parts and some 3 star parts. I give this a very solid 4 stars and have to say it was a much more consistent read that flowed well. I just enjoyed it more overall.

When Kaden agreed to go on tour with Luminous he had no idea he would meet someone like Effa who is as necessary n his life as breathing. However one catastrophe after another dogs him and he wonders if there is any way to find the HEA he is living for.

Wow - deep intense thoughts and feelings in this second book in the series. I felt as if I ware living through everything with them. At times I wanted to slap Kaden, but then there were many times I wanted to hug him. Lots of drama, danger and int

OMG! This picks up right where Pulse left off and from there the roller-coaster grabs you and doesn’t let go. Mercs and Effa have an electric relationship that gives them both something they both need. Learning to trust that love and lean on each other for support realizing it’s not a weakness. I love the dual POV for each character during this journey. Mercs frustrates me as he struggles the most with acknowledging that he needs Effa’s help. Add in the incredible supporting cast which provides ...more

This book will have you not wanting to put it down. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened to Effa and Merc and read in one sitting. This book touches on many things that unfortunately effect so many of us and I’m so glad the author wrote about to let others know they’re not alone these do effect a lot of people. I received a free ebook from the author. Breathe is book two in the Luminous Rock Series. This is a great book with terrific, unforgettable characters. Effa and Mercs face personal trauma involving family and each other that hit home and make the story real. Written perfectly for you to take the journey with them. They face and overcome these obstacles with the help of their families and friends and still manage to follow their musical dreams. All kinds of twists and turns but left me with a smi ...more

Being a Duet, Pulse should be read before Breathe. Breathe takes off in a tailspin with Merc and Effa relationship. They have to go through some disasters to come out the other side as one. There's quite a bit of struggle for Merc & Effa's relationship as well as them as individuals. We get to see more of Merc's family and others trying to pry the two of them apart. This was a good ending to the duet and brought everything together for me. Great take on the rock genre with the girl band, and a l ...more
