Explains how the human memory works, and gives advice on improving one's memory for speeches, numbers, names, spellings, vocabulary, and information from one's reading
This is an average book on how to increase your recall and other forms of memory. One of the biggest suggestions is essentially "Write stuff down so you don't have to remember it." Another is essentially "Take interest in what you need to remember." That makes sense. Don't look for anything mind-blowing here, but it's not a bad read.
Read the Foulsham edition of the book. Good memory tricks from a pre-internet era. I tried hard with a memory trick and it works pretty well. Others were more complex and involve some kind of code that can be customised according to individual taste. The author's old school tone and vocabulary were quite enjoyable as well!
