Ok, so this started it out not what I expected at all!!!
This story started out so weird on so many levels, that I truly did not expect that.
Zaire "Zai" is the epitome male macho, alpha to the triple power, thug, boss man but is also bae (and I want one). Smart, educated but walk to his own beats, he his unapolegic towards his beliefs and his attitude.
Shani, well she is still a mystery and must be in the developing stage still. She is supposedly doing a "job" to get out of her debts and suddenly she finds an angel that takes care of everything for including the heart, 🤔🤔🙄🙄yeah, right!!! If that's the case, I want my own angel too. No mention of family member, or anything close as who is she...
Zayan "zy" well besides being spoiled and acting like she is entitled, she is at least nice and not so brat acting grown up and all.
Durham, Humm... Another bae and not as ruthless as Zai. He is a boss man on his own right, he still is compassionate and more mellow yet will not hesitate to do what he needs and has to do for the ones around him.
Jah, well a nice twist for a beginning because you can already see that he is going to have them do a run for their money.
Neema, same as Shani. Not enough to be able to give an honest review on this character.
And so far the crew is nice, and they kind of match, but as stated there isn't a bough stuff on the significant other to help out., but this was truly not what I want excited. I thought it was going to be a little bit more thug, boss man, romantic, pursuing/chasing but it as more of a criminal suspense thriller type , etc....
So let us continue to see if anything show out in part2.....

Good Read
This book was very good. I was loving the storyline. Durham and Zai were something else. I loved their bond. Those two had each other’s back no matter what. In the beginning I though Shani had that one friend that she could count on, but as time went on I began to see a side of her that Shani didn’t see. Sonja had her moments when she just seemed so fake. Some of the things that came out her mouth showed jealousy. I was shocked when some things were revealed, Shani handled them accordingly. Zyan had her moments. She is truly spoiled. She ended up seeing things for what they were and soon took things serious. The man in her life could have been the cause of her not focusing, but now that his no good self is out the picture maybe she can get back on track. I can’t wait to see what happens in book two because things are getting very interesting.

KC Mills never disappoints. I like how the men are protective over their family, I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds. I’m glad that Shani found out that her girl wasn’t 💩 I seriously hope that it’s not Shani ex in her house. I love Jah for Zyan and can’t wait to read more about them, also I want to see how Jinx is going to act around them. Hopefully everything is ok with Neema that’s going to suck for Durham especially because she was already skeptical about his line of work.

How did the book end like that. Get over it like for real weak cody couldn't just take his punish he had to involve innocent people.
Jah better stop holding out on zyan .
I like Zaire and shani story but I think zaire has a pattern he uses with his women so the jury out on this relationship. Why did shani not change her locks. Now I have to wait to see who put the beer in the frigid. Can't wait for book2.

I can't get enough of that man! There's just something about him! He doesn't play about what's his! Shani ain't nothing to play wit either. Something tells me we haven't heard the end of Dexter! Cody was a bum lol! I love Durham! I couldn't put this book down! Sensational job! Now I just need part 2

The start to another great series
I like this group of characters. They are rough and rowdy and calm and collected all at the same darn time. Shani is my girl and poo yeah Zyon is another favorite Kc always has her cliffhangers so I will patiently wait for the masterpiece to unfold. Awesome job and great work

KC I am so loving this new series of yours. These alpha men are the truth. I am liking Zaire and Durham a whole lot. These are true bosses. I love Shani and Zyan. Cody got what he deserved. I hope Jah and Zyan get together. Neema need to get with Durham. Can't wait for pt 2.

Love this!!!
I just love the match up of these couples. Their personalities are different but they have similarities when it comes other things. I hope nothing happens to Neema and I hope nothing crazy happens to Shani either. I haven't read a K.C. Mills series in awhile but I am glad I read this one!!+

Great read
You've done it again. I have a feeling that Shani's old flame from jail was home and thought he had a chance with her. Zaire is going to have s fit when he realizes that someone evaded her space. Durham is going to go crazy if something happens to Neemi. She will probably not want to deal with him after this happens. I can't wait til the next book drops.

I Can deal
It really took me a while to get into this book and longer than ever to read it. It turned out to be manageable but it just didn't excite me. I didn't have the desire to not put the book down. I could easily lose focus and read something else. I will read part two because I believe in completing a series, but this does not make my top list.

I put this series on hold until you were finished releasing the full series just because I knew it would good but good doesn't even suit this book it's everything , Zai is bae his presence his whole demeanour is so alluring & I feel like Shani is his one , As far as Durham & Neema ,Jah & Zion I can't wait to see what's in store for them

Savage state of mind
This book was everything and held my attention from the very beginning. I loved Shani she was just out in a bad situation. Zaire is definitely the man and I loved the together. Durham is about going to through a thing of something happen Neemah. I definitely starting part 2.

I like Zaire and Durham and the bond they have. Shani was good for Zaire and vice versa. I hope Neema gave Durham a chance. Jinx might be a problem since Jah came in and got with Zyan. I hope they make Cody suffer. Great job as always.

Cody was a punk from the start. Sonja just seemed jealous Shani and I didn't understand why. I believe Zyan and Jah will be good for each other. I'm wondering who is after Shani? Something seems off about Neema to me.
