The primal rule of winning: don’t fall in love with the contender.

Three months shy of her eighteenth birthday, Ness is forced to return to Colorado. Even though it’s been six years, and the wolves of her all-male pack don’t recognize her, she recognizes them. People who shun others because of their gender are hard to forget.

Especially Liam Kolane—son of Heath, the crudest

A pack of Blood and lies was soooo good! When I first started reading this story we got off to a bit of a rocky start but a couple of pages in and I was totally hooked! I can’t wait for more! This is a full length story with no cliffhanger but the author has promised more.

Ness is a pack out law. Her mother was forced to leave with her and start a new life in LA. They were getting by but life was great. At seventeen, Ness’s mums dies and her now guardians turn up to take her back to the life she

Good people do bad things; bad people do good things. Those are the sorts of heroes you will find in the pages of this book. Perfectly flawed characters.

A Pack of Blood and Lies is an amazing story following Ness, a werewolf shifter, who is forced back to her old home in Colorado. Unfortunately for Ness things aren't a seamless transition as she finds herself shunned by her old pack, and discounted for being born a girl.

I don't want to spoil too much so I won't, but the only thing that absolutely needs to be said about this book is how great it was! To say I loved it would be a complete understatement. I engulfed it in one sitting, and wish I h

WOW! If I could give this book ten stars I would. I loved every second and every word of this book. I cannot wait for more from both this couple and this world. As a lover of shifter stories I have read quite a few that seem to follow the same outline and they tend to get a bit stale. This book was anything but: it had passion, action, mystery, well developed characters and a plot that will absorb the reader. I will try to do my best in this review to explain just how much I loved this book, but ...more

This book was really, really good! I was hooked from the beginning and I ended up enjoying it so much. It's been a while since I've read a book about werewolves (or at least it feels like a while) and I wasn't disappointed with this one.

I loved our main character, Ness. She has a fiery personality and I was rooting for her when she was trying to prove herself. It pissed me off to no end the way the Boulder pack was treating her sometimes so I'm glad she didn't just lie there and took i

Thank you to netgalley for advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions however are my own.

I really enjoyed this book!. The book is fast paced fun read. We follow Ness and her journey of finding a home. She is a werewolf that doesn't know where she belongs after her tomultuose past comes back to haunt her. I really like how real safe felt specially for her age and everything she has gone through. She acted her age just a little less stupid. I did find a few problems that I will

WOW!!! I never thought I really love this story. This is my first time ever reading a story about werewolves. It was still very new to me since I never read this type of story before, but I’m glad it wasn’t a disappointment. Clearly took me by surprise.

A female in a pack full of males, standing up for herself, fighting to gain her place? HECK YES!!! The whole story had me stressed and nervous, it clear

It took a few chapters to become invested but once I did, it was so good! I loved the trials they had to go through and the mysteries surrounding her life and the pack.

***Potential spoiler even though I tried to be as vague as possible: I really struggled with the love interest in this book. I wanted to see more layers of the “good guy” under the supposed “bad guy” but then he would keep getting aggressive with her. I just couldn’t get on board with him. I liked him overall but just didn’t want

This is my very first Olivia Wildenstein book and you bet I'm kicking myself for not reading her books sooner.

A Pack of Blood and Lies was such a delightful read! I love Ness' mindful recklessness and the simmering attraction with Liam. The writing was very addictive. And although there really wasn't much when it came to the action aspect of the book, I was never bored. I've read tons of werewolf books but this one has to be one of my top favorites. There was just something about it that really

This was a hard to stop reading book. Characters were just so so and would have liked a bit more detail in the Why questions. The past is hard to forgive but should not blind your perception of new individuals. Ness and Liam are the love interests who happen to be werewolves. Should be a great series to follow. So the book I just finished was A Pack of Blood and Lies by Olivia Wildenstein . Now personally I have always loved a good werewolf novel. But I have found it hard to find a good one. Maybe I just don't know where to look. But anyways, I finished this book in 1 day. mind you this book is 350 pages. So its a good sized story.  Before I get too far into my review let me

A Pack Of Blood and Lies is the first book in a fresh new paranormal fantasy series, with an unexpected slow burn romance throughout this book. Ness and Liam’s story is epic! I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read more of this series!

Caught me from the very first page. Action-packed and, like all of Wildenstein's books, surprises all around. Fans of paranormal romance are in for a treat.

This story is magnificent from beginning to end. The characters are well written and evoke some seriously intense love and hate and confusion emotions; the story flows at a pace that alternates well between steady and breathtaking and you can feel that it’s been well planned because the execution is incredible.

Can we start with the cover? It’s so beautiful and you feel the tone of the drama to come but I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t come close to the web of intrigue that unfolds on these

I requested to read this via Net Galley as an ARC to Twilight Press and would like to thank them for accepting me and for allowing me to read this.

I enjoyed this book, it was very well written and fast paced and quick to the point and the story was very engrossing that I had soon read 100 pages. There were never times where nothing really happened that wasn't important, something was constantly happening within this book which I liked. It was definitely a fun read and I will be reading the next

Thank you to Netgalley and Twilight Press for the opportunity to read and review early!

This book took my entire Sunday and I'm not even mad.

What an angsty, complicated, sexy, tension-filled page turner this was!

After her mother dies of cancer, Ness Clark returns to the place she once called home after six years. Unrecognizable to most at first, Ness' return brings with it demons from her past and unresolved issues that she would rather soon forget. At the center of it all is Liam Kolane - son o

This book is everything you didn't know you needed in a werewolf book. There was so much betrayal, heartache, secrets, and hurt in this book but there was also redemption, love, loyalty, hope, and humor that balanced it out and helped make this book into something amazing. I loved the characters, each were pretty well fleshed out and you reacted to them. As a reader, it's great when you can have that kind of reaction to a character(s) in a book, it means the author has done their job in engaging ...more

I absolutely loved Olivia Wildenstein' s Lost Clan series so when I heard about her new Boulder Wolves series I jumped at the chance to review it.
I can tell you that I was certainly not disappointed. Olivia has completely done it again with an absolutely fantastic story with twists that leave you guessing til the end. I love how the characters get their happy ending but Olivia seems to keep the suspense and emotion going until the end.

Ok, so here's my sort of detailed review. It took me a few days to put into words why I loved this book so much. Obviously the writing and storyline are wonderful but it's so much more than that. It's a strong female fighting for what's right. It's a new generation
I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I should probably start by saying I hadn't read a full-length werewolf book in a while before this one, so I was really excited. I've always associated werewolf books with amazing romance stories filled with tension and action.

I loved this book, it was a wonderful fast paced addictive read, I was gripped from the start. The characters were well written, empathetic and full padded out shades of grey 'real' characters. A full length book that has no cliffhangers and although will be a series can be read as standalone. Ness is a werewolf outside her pack and is basically forced to return, she chooses to put her name in the ring t be Alpha and this puts her at odds with the former pack alphas son Liam and his pack mates. ...more

That was AWESOME. An amazing story about a girl. An anomaly. An outcast. She always felt like she didn't belong, un-welcomed by her pack, forced to run and hide. She didn't know the truth. A truth that she wouldn't learn until it was almost to late. She would put herself on the line for that truth time and time again. She doesn't know who to trust. She didn't know that the truth could harm more than help. Shifters. We meet the inhabitants, not just the packs but individuals that mix and blend wi ...more

I really enjoyed this book. It is my first one by Ms. Olivia Wildenstein. It is about Ness who is sent away from Boulder after being denied becoming a member due to the fact that she is a girl. Her pack has never had a girl born to any member and therefore they believe she is not her father's offspring. Ness returns to Boulder 6 years later against her will by her Aunt and Uncle because she is not of age, and cannot live on her own. She makes arrangement for the lady who takes care of her to acc ...more

With thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

Ness is the only female werewolf in a pack of males, shunned and a virtual outcast after the death of her Father and her Mother's relocation to LA. Even though Ness has been happy in LA she is forced back to Colorado by her Uncle and Aunt after her Mother's death - and that is where the action really begins as Ness finds herself in a contest to be the next Alpha of the pack.

Ness is a strong female protagonist who pits herself against the s

Thank you Netgalley and Twilight Press for the opportunity to review this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book from beginning to end was spectacular. It's like what if Mare from Red Queen encounters Jacob from Twilight and then meets the Royal werewolf family and fights for the ultimate reign, winner takes all and loser is forced to die. Every page was a new adventure and just when you thought the story is going one direction, it immediately switches gears and takes a whole new turn. E

This was such an exceptional story. It had me completely hooked right from the first page and I didn't want to put it down.

Kissing Liam Kolane felt like running through a starlight field in my wolf form-the purest form of power and sensation there existed in this vast, dark work.

There was plenty of depth to the story with a number of twists and enemies to lovers theme. It was extremely well-written and the author structured the story in a way to keep readers guessing. There were two deaths w

OMG, I could not put this book done. I so tried to read it in one night, but couldn't. This is the first book I read from this author and I can say it flowed perfectly. Have to say I laughed and cried while reading this book. Ness has lived away from her pack with her mother, until one day she dies and is forced to go back to the pack that rejected her. Liam Kolane is to become the new alpha, after his father dies. Heath was one of the cruelest alphas there was and Ness feels he is just like his ...more
