Room Mates: The Series by Kendall Ryan
Narrated by Ava Erickson, Sebastian York and Jeremy York
Room Mates: The Series by Kendall Ryan was one of the best uses of an audible credit ever! 4 standalone books for one credit! They even have different narrators. I enjoyed every one of these stories, and I’m going to do a quick review of each.
The Room Mate
28 year old Paige’s best friend asks for a favor. Her younger brother, a med student, had his apartment destroyed by a crazy ex, not for the first time, and was evicted. He needs a place to stay and focus on just work until he starts his residency out of town in 2 months.
“My best friend’s little brother wasn’t so little anymore. And he’d just marched into my life, turning my girly bits into warm, aroused mush.”

When he claims that all women who sleep with him fall in love, Paige decides to prove that wrong. Famous last words, right?
“I didn’t have time for distractions, and I’d just promised myself there would be no more fucking around. But all of that went out the window the second I laid eyes on Paige.”

He’s always had a crush on Paige, but she was 4 years older. But now, all bets are off.

The Room Mate was a cute, light, sweet, fun second chance romance. Not terribly unique or memorable, but it had likable characters, a sweet story, and was just a great escape.

The Narration:
Jeremy York and Ava Erickson did a great job narrating, but I must admit, I don’t find Jeremy York’s voice sexy, so I had a little trouble thinking of him as totally irresistible.

The Play Mate
This one is big brother’s best friend trope. 22 year old Evie has always had a crush on her 29 year old brother’s best friend. After one half-assed sexual experience, Evie decides she wants her first real sex to be with Smith. She engineers a whole way to sneak into his room and go for it! Honestly, if she were a guy and he a girl, it would be cause to arrest him, but the other way around doesn’t seem to be a problem. I kind of had a hard time with this, especially after this line:
“And come tomorrow night, he wouldn’t know what him him.
The feminist inside me beat on her chest and let out a battle cry.
I was doing this.
I would make Smith my bitch.
And zero fucks would be given.”

Well, the plan backfired - but then they start a job together! And after he had a little taste of her, he couldn’t get her out of his head.
“Somehow over the past couple of years, annoying Evie had morphed into curvy, hot-as-hell, infiltrating-my-dreams Evie, and it was slowly killing me.”

There was some cute banter in The Play Mate, But I felt like what she did was a little rapey and that bugged me. Besides that, this was a cute brother’s best friend romance. Not very memorable, but entertaining.

The Narration:
Sebastian York and Ava Erickson narrated and I LOVED the narration. He was perfect for the part.

The House Mate
The House Mate was by far my favorite of the series, though I must admit, books with a kid really do it for me. 34 year old Max’s ex drops off a 1 year old baby that he didn’t know about and takes off. Max doesn’t know the first thing about babies, but he is immediately in love and wants the best for his baby.

Fresh off a bad relationship where her live-in boyfriend fired her and kicked her out of their place, Addison really needs a job, and getting off her best friend’s couch would help too. When she answers an ad for a nanny, she didn’t expect the dad to be a hot ex-army ranger.
“I should have closed the door in her face the second I saw her smoldering-hot curves.”

He would do anything for his new little girl, and the baby took to Addison immediately (though he’s army, did he not do a background check?), so he hires her on the spot and realizes he has to put his baby before his dick, so he works hard to avoid temptation. But you know how that goes….
"No big deal. This was perfectly normal for a red-blooded male living with sex on a stick. The old nanny fantasy. In my dirty mind, Addison was the perfect sensual vixen, ripe for the taking. And in my mind was exactly where she’d have to stay."

Yeah sure…

The Narration:
Yay! Another SebYo! Great narration!

The Soul Mate
This one was cute! I like gyno books and this one couldn’t be more awkward. Imagine getting pregnant by a one night stand, going to the doctor to check on it, and the Doctor ‘recognizes’ you in an interesting way?

Bren does not want to get involved with anyone. AT ALL. She is a conservationist who works at the zoo, and she has her animals to love. She’s good with that. She’d rather not love at all than fall in love and lose that love.

Mason wants it all. He has been searching for the one-night-stand girl for weeks, sure she’s “the one”. He’s ready to settle down and start a life.
"What kind of man cooked a perfect steak, delivered prenatal vitamins to you at work, and then brought you to orgasm in five minutes flat? ”

I enjoyed the story a lot, but I didn’t love Bren. I found her too closed off and she just never talked to him. There was also a kind of big medical faux pas regarding some very overdue twins. Mason was amazing. Every girl's dream on paper, but maybe just a bit too perfect in practice.

The Narration:
The last one went back to Jeremy York again, and once again, I just don’t find him to have a very sexy voice, but he’s still a great narrator, and with the dirty talking in this book, he was a little sexier.

The Down and Dirty for the Series:
All four of these were cute, sweet, sexy and funny. They all used common tropes, so they weren’t hugely memorable, but very enjoyable nonetheless. Each of the novels are available separately, but it’s amazing to see them all together in one audiobook! Over 20 hours of listening makes this one of the best uses of a credit ever. If you are looking for a nice, light, fun listen that you don’t have to be 100% focused on because there aren’t any surprising plot twists to keep track of, this is VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I struggle with the rating, because the average of the stories is a 4, but the value is a 5!

The Room Mate –

This was my favorite of the four novels. I'm a sucker for the falling in love with your sibling's best friend trope. Added to that, Paige and Cannon become roommates courtesy of the latest crazy woman that caused Cannon to get kicked out of his apartment. Paige and Cannon grew up together as well and already had a shared history, another check mark on my list of favorite elements in a romance. I liked how they were finally able to find a great solution to what seemed to be a couple of huge stumbling blocks to their ability to give their attraction a chance to go the distance in a committed relationship. I loved the audiobook performances by Ava Erickson and especially Jeremy York on this one. Their excellent acting choices made this a delightful listen. I’m currently re-listening to it.

The Play Mate –
I’m not going to lie. I got a kick out of this one which was a gender flip of the previous falling in love with my best friend sibling's love story. This was a quick and entertaining take on it. Ava Erickson continued on as the female narrator and Sebastian York teamed up with her as the male narrator.

The House Mate –
I’ve recently read a couple of these fall in love with the nanny romances. This trio was adorable together. I was surprised there weren’t more consequences for his assistant’s meddling, but overall, I enjoyed the progression of their fall into love. That demon baby bath scene was too funny, loved it! And narrators Ava Erickson and Sebastian York made a good narrating team again.

The Soul Mate –
The premise for this one was the most unique out of the four novels. I wanted to hug Mason. In spite of what happened with his parents and Bren’s initial resistance to giving a relationship with him a chance, he never lost his belief that his soul mate was out there and was worth all his years of waiting to find her in Bren. And I enjoyed the repairing of Ava Erickson and Jeremy York as the narrating duo for this one.

I just noticed I've never left a review for this boxed set. It gets four stars because while I loved the first two, the third and fourth were not so great.

The Room Mate - Her best friend's younger brother moves in and despite being off-limits, he is oh-so-tempting. I bought this set for this story alone. The chemistry is off the charts and the story swept me away.

The Play Mate - Her older brother's best friend becomes the financial backer to her lingerie company then these two office-mates decide to become play mates. What's the worst that could happen? Best story in the set. The sexual tension between these two is immediate and electrifying yet they have to keep it from her brother. The simple fact that they work with her brother in this start-up lingerie company created some hilarious scenes. I won't look at a copier the same. lol!

The House Mate - He's the hot single dad, and she's the new live-in nanny. This is swoonworthy perfection if you like single dad romance! I like single-dad romance but the chemistry just wasn't there between these two. It seemed forced somehow. I dunno.

The Soul Mate - The smoking-hot one-night stand she was never supposed to see again? She's pregnant, and he’s her hot doctor. Another baby romance? Really? While the humorous dialogue kept me reading, I just wanted it to be over. Sad to say it but it's my honest impression.

I first read this series a while ago and didn’t realise when I picked it up. This series is an easy read with great characters and a good story. Overall, I found it really enjoyable to read and although the books didn’t interlace like I initially thought they would. I found each story had their own unique twist and the characters were relatable and enjoyable. Would recommend to any romance fan.

🔹The Room Mate
4.5 Hearts

The Room Mate is the first book in a new series. The Roommates series is going to be a series of standalone novels and this was a sexy and fun start. This is Cannon and Paige's story...

Cannon has made new rules for his sex life. He can't handle their kind of crazy after he sleeps them. From now on, it's one night only. No names. No numbers. He needs to focus. He is almost finished with Medical school and can't let anything or anyone distract him from completing his goals. That was until he saw his new roomie. His older sister's best friend Paige. They grew up together but they haven't seen each other in five years. This is going to be the longest two months of his life if he has to stay away from the one woman that he has crushed on since he was sixteen years old. She is his wet dream. He thought he could do this until she wanted to prove him wrong.

Paige remembers Cannon as the geeky younger brother to her best friend. Now he was the delicious piece of man candy that she wanted to lick from head to toe. She shouldn't want this. He was forbidden. Allie would kill her. Kill their friendship. She knew that first night that she would be fighting a battle of attraction with Cannon. Then on the third night, she heard something ridiculous. Cannon told her that he had a curse. That women fell in love with him after one night of sex. She could believe they loved the orgasms but the man? No way. She was going to prove him wrong. One night. They could totally have one night and move on like nothing had happened, right? She would break his curse and she would get an orgasm. Bam! They totally got this.

They don't totally got this.

I thought this was a hilarious and sexy read. I loved the characters. I imagine Cannon in those blue scrubs looking all kinds of yummy. He is more than that though. He is sweet, compassionate, and smart. He also made me laugh. A lot. So that is a major bonus in my book. Paige is a private person who is ready to get out of her bubble and live a little. I really liked her. Independent, witty, and sexy without knowing it. Together, they had amazing chemistry inside the bedroom. They had fun and flirty banter. And most of all, developed a great friendship.

Overall...A great start to a new series! I am excited about the next books. Bring on the hotness, sweetness, and the emotions to go along with it.

Quotes:

Just the act of standing near him made my mind wander to things like sheet-clawing sex, the smell of latex, and regrets the morning after.

“Never said I played fair, princess.”

“You’re beautiful. It’s a privilege to touch you.”

🔹 THE PLAY MATE
5 Hearts

The Play Mate is the second book in the Roommates series by the ever talented Kendall Ryan. It can be read as a complete standalone. I thought there would be a connection between the two books but if there is, I didn't find it. But, they are both fun, sexy, and quick reads.

Evie is tired of planning by the rules. She just graduated college and is ready to do what she wanted. And what she wanted was an orgasm from the one man that she has crushed on for most of her life. Smith Hamilton. Her brother's best friend. He was always nice to her, making her feel special in a friendly kind of way. He didn't treat her like the bratty little sister even though she was one some of the time. She is seven years younger than him but she wasn't a kid anymore and she was ready to show him that she was all woman. Her original plan didn't exactly go as planned so she had to get bolder. She had him exactly where she wanted him...until she didn't.

Smith has an idea of what he is in for when he agreed to meet his best friend, Cullen and his sister Evie. It's been a year since they have all been together but he knows that he will have to fight his attraction to the girl he used to tease. Now, he wanted to tease her in other ways. Naughty ways. Ways he had to ignore. He couldn't go there. He wouldn't want to ruin his friendship with either one of them. There were only a few people in his life that he truly cared about and they were two of them. But when he wakes up to someone turning him on in the most erotic way he knows things have changed. He is totally fucked.

Evie and Smith's relationship is complicated. They both feel the connection. The passion. The heat. But decide to go slow. They need to figure out what this is before telling Cullen. He is a very protective brother that would cut off Smith's balls if he ever hurt her. And Smith is kinda attached to them so that is where they are at. Will they risk bodily harm, lost friendships, and heartbreak to be together?

I love Evie and Smith! Evie goes for what she wants. Not only to get that orgasm that she craves but for other things in her life. Smith is smart, sexy, and has a great sense of humor. Together, they are so much fun! The banter. The stares. The inside jokes. And of course their connection. It's beautiful, sweet, and sexy.

Overall...I am in love with this series and can't wait for the next book. They are just what I need when I just want someone fun and sexy to read to get me through the day. I laugh, I get all kinds of hot and bothered, and I even tear up!

Quotes:

The feminist inside me beat on her chest and let out a battle cry.
I was doing this.
I would make Smith my bitch.
And zero fucks would be given.

“Come on. Let’s get inside so I can introduce you to the wrecking crew.”

“Asking for a friend?”

🔹 THE HOUSE MATE
5 Hearts

The House Mate is the third book in the Roommates series by the very talented Kendall Ryan. Each book in the series can be read as standalone. If you love single dads stories like I do, you most definitely need this book in your life.

Max thought he had the kind of life he always wanted. He doesn’t have to answer to anyone except to himself. He can come and go as he pleases. He enjoyed his bachelor life. Then in one night it all changed. He was suddenly a single father to a one year old Dylan. He had no idea what he was going to do but he knew he needed help. That is where Addison comes into their lives. She needed a fresh start and loved kids. Hen she saw a position for a live-in nanny job, she had a feeling it was a sign. And after meeting Dylan, she knew this was where she belonged. They bonded instantly. But what was she going to do about the way she felt when she met Mr. Sex on Legs? She didn’t want to ruin this opportunity because of her libido.

Max knew he was in trouble the minute he opened the door. He thought about closing that door but when he saw the connection between his daughter and the beautiful woman who could be exactly what he needed, he couldn’t let her walk away. He surely can keep his dick in his pants so that he daughter could have what she needed. Her. Someone to take care of her. Keep her safe. Make her happy. Keep her healthy. But the more time he spends with her, it’s harder and harder to stay away. He feels something for her. He also feels the love between the girls. And it feels amazing. What if something did happen? Addison wants it too but is it worth the risk of not only losing Max but also Dylan?

I loved. Loved. Loved this story! Single dad stories just get to me especially when you feel the love and bond they have with their children. It’s beautiful. And with a daughter. *swoon* Max is such an amazing father. And Addison is so sweet with Dylan. I loved it even more since Dylan wasn’t just in the background. She was front and center. The most important character. As for Max and Addison…they are fun, flirty, sweet and hot.

Overall…my favorite from the series! I felt connected to the characters. I read the book in one sitting. I was finished by lunch. If I wasn’t then I probably wouldn’t have eaten. Anyway…it made me laugh, swoon, and hot and bothered. I even cried!

Quotes:
Jesus, what kind of nanny pictured her boss naked?
A horny one, my inner devil shot back.

“Do she and Dylan play in the sprinklers a lot?” Zach asked, his face the picture of innocence. Dylan turned, gurgling at the sound of her name. “And if so, what times of day? Asking for a friend.”

“Addison?” Max called, his voice laced with laughter. “Should I be afraid?”

🔹 THE SOUL MATE
***4.5 Stars

The Soul Mate is the fourth standalone in the Roommates series. I have loved each one of these books for different reasons. The storylines. The humor. The feels they give me. They have all been fast reads with the perfect amount of it all. The Soul Mate is Mason and Bren's story...

It was only supposed to be one night. One night of multiple, explosive orgasms. What Bren didn't expect was that she felt more for him. And that was exactly why she ghosted him. She could see herself fall for him. One night then she would forget. That was the plan until she thought she was pregnant and shows up to Dr. Bentley's. Well...at least now she knows what her one night stand's last name is.

Mason wanted more than one night. He had that feeling the moment he saw her. It was confirmed the night he had her in his bed. The passion and laughs did it for him. He was going to let her know just that when he woke up but she was gone. He looked for her but never expected that she would be a new patient. A new patient that needed to confirm a pregnancy. But, maybe just maybe this was another sign that they should be together. He wasn't going to give up. He needed to know. Which leads to a proposal. No, not that kind...

Mason and Bren both feel it. Feel the connection between them. Too bad one of them wants to run from it and the other wants to run towards it. Will they ever be on the same page?

I loved Mason. He is swoon-worthy. He is sweet, sexy, and can cook! A romantic on top of that. He also plays rugby. Yumminess all around. Bren sees all this and it scares the fuck out of her. She is an independent woman that doesn't want the heartbreak. She sees it enough with the animals she works with at the zoo. She also saw it growing up. Together, they have some big decisions to make. Feelings to discover. And do it knowing there could be a baby on the way.

Overall...it's a fast read with a unique storyline. It made me swoon. Laugh. Feel hot and bothered. And smile.

Quotes:

“You nerds all know how to pick each other.”
“You’re a nerd, too, dude” I pointed out.
“That doesn’t mean I like my women brainy.”

“That was nothing. He moved way too fast. Buying me a new computer for my birthday? Who did he think he was, fucking Christian Grey, for crying out loud? Take it easy, am I right?”

“If that’s the way you react to a blow job, you must not have had very many in your life,” she joked, but her hand fluttered to her throat and her eyes gleamed.

Kendall Ryan’s RoomMates boxset is a collection of steamy stories that illustrate just how close two people can get when they live in close proximity and share a connection that neither of them can deny. The heroes and heroines in each story are dynamic and they offer one another everything they never knew they wanted but now so desperately need in order to feel like their life is worth living!

The Room Mate

There’s a lot on the line when Cannon becomes Paige’s roommate and they decide to test his theory about women’s unhealthy and instant infatuation with him because if things go wrong and get messy in a way that they’re unable to fix, it might destroy friendships, sibling bonds, and perhaps even wreak havoc on the most necessary organ in the human body, but it also just might be what both Cannon and Paige need to keep making lemonade.

I love friends to lovers’ stories, and Kendall Ryan’s newest release creates one with a twist that I haven’t found in many other texts. The fact that Paige is older than Cannon and she’s his sister’s best friend is an unusual plot line for me as a reader and that uniqueness really made for an enjoyable read.

Cannon Roth is one HAWT doctor and I would love for him to make a house call, so I can witness his impeccable bedside manner along with his filthy mouth, impressive stamina, and sexified physique;)

4 Poison Apples

The Play Mate

The Play Mate is a sweet, sassy, and sexy story with a hero and heroine readers can connect with due to the direction of their lives, how much their pasts play into their presents, and the anticipatory nature of Evie’s operation to get herself an orgasm as well as a man who owns her body and soul.

Once again, Kendall Ryan seduced with her characters, her words, and her story line, which is exactly what I want when I read a romance story!

4 Poison Apples

The House Mate

Max is definitely one of my favorite single dads; the way he jumps feet first into the role and learns as he goes without hesitating to step up makes him extremely swoonworthy. He may not have all of the answers and the situation may not be ideal, especially with how and why he was introduced to his one year old daughter, but she quickly becomes his world, which Kendall Ryan illustrates perfectly through Max’s words and actions.

It’s easy to see why Max willingly shakes up his life for his two new women; Dylan and Addison are so easy to love - Dylan because she is a precious little girl who loves unconditionally and Addison because she makes Max’s life easier and fuller all by just her presence and her loving ways.

Kendall Ryan’s Roommates’ series continues to offer readers’ sweet and sexy reads with just enough tension to keep them on their toes, ceaselessly turning pages to see if the hero and heroine can work things out, get past the few obstacles that stand in their way, and create a lasting connection that brings them a lifetime of love and happiness.

4 Poison Apples

The Soul Mate

The Soul Mate is a sweet and steamy read that gives readers hope that love at first sight and finding one’s soul mate can still occur even in contemporary society - one filled with heartache, divorce, and selfishness. Mason is a wonderful hero who never gives up on Bren because he 100% believes that they’re meant to be together, and while Bren is a harder sell when it comes to defining what she feels for Mason, her struggle means there’s still a way for Mason to break through the wall that surrounds Bren and dismantle it with every kind gesture, every sweet word, and every attempt to make them more than a one night stand.

THE ROOM MATE:
I loved Cannon, he was just so sweet, “hat is it?” I followed her gaze down to my crotch. Christ! My ***k was so hard and eager, standing so tall, that he was peeking at her from the top of my briefs. Her shy smile fell away, and she bit her lip. “Ignore it. Come here,”I said again, encouraging her." When Paige goes to great lengths to surprise her man, he really appreciates it, "he took me in his arms, kissing me deeply. “eff, you look hot,” he groaned when he finally pulled away." I really enjoyed this book, I loved Cannon.

THE PLAY MATE:
Smith is an honest man when it comes to his wants, “I hadn’t even meant to come in here. I was going to the men’s room to wash my hands, but I smelled that scent and had to follow it. Then, there you were. That sexy silhouette. That ***. Those legs. You’re like a effing magnet.” I didn't really make many notes in this book because I was real enamored with Smith, the man was just so sexy. I really liked this book.

THE HOUSE MATE:
The words out of Max's mouth say one thing, but his thoughts are sure thinking of another, “I mean it. You’re a great nanny. Not a second has gone by when I regretted my choice in hiring you.” Except, of course, all the times I wanted to bend you over the kitchen counter and make you scream my name." You cannot help but fall in love with Max, “oh, I definitely want you to come home. I just didn’t want to assume.” Max bent and gave me a hard kiss, a familiar light burning in his eyes. “I’ll wait up.” I really liked this book, Addison and Max had a good flow going between them.

THE SOUL MATE:
Bren just wants her man to stay close at times, “No, don’t get up.” I yanked my shirt over my head and then rushed toward him. “Stay naked and we can order a pizza and eat in bed.” Mason is always trying to come up with excuses to either keep his woman naked or get his woman naked, “you might not have needed the bikini,” I said. “This place is pretty secluded.” I really liked this book, Mason was such a good man it was easy to fall in love with him.

Book One: ** I think I'm just not a Kendall Ryan fan. Does every chapter need to end with a variation on a theme of, "I had no way of knowing what would happen next." "Nothing could prepare me for what was to come."

Eck. Second book by this author, and I returned the first one. This one was marginally better. But she has just got to work on the hurried endings.

Also, Allie is the worst friend ever.

Book Two: *** Better than the first one in the series. Why do I keep buying her books?

Book Three: *** This was cute. I've liked it better than all the others in the series. I'm not usually one to focus much on the reality of a romance, but....somehow, I found this manwhore a little to manwhore-y to settle down that fast. But whatevs... This was cute. Book Four: *** Eh. I fell for another Kendall Ryan mediocre read. The gynecologist angle got me as I was hoping for sexy on the level of Wrong.

Sadly, this one fell flat. I hated the cold heroine.

A great variety of friends-to-lovers stories that will set your heart racing and pulse jumping. Each of these stories is a standalone as none of the characters appear in the other books.  Whether you are looking for best friends who final realise their attraction, or a one night stand who turns up in the unlikeliest place you will not be disappointed.

Book 1 - The Room Mate

Cannon Roth has had a string of bad relationships and the last one was the worst.  coming to the end of his medical training but with no real focus, Cannon decides that now is the time to leave women alone and concentrate on his career.  Easier said than done when his sister, Allie,  has to perfect answer to his accommodation situation - her best friend, Paige.

Keeping their hands to themselves proves to be a struggle but with the lingering thought of Allie constantly between them they really do try (Honest!).

Cannon has had to be the man of the house for so long and finds the role hard to give up. His main purpose is to help support his mum and sister. His heart is definitely in the right place.  Paige has pretty much given up on men.  She works, she looks after her dog, and that is pretty much it.  Cannon turns her world upside down.  A lovely story about friendships, relationships and trying to please everyone.

Book 2 - The Play Mate

Evie Reed needs a man and the man she needs is her brother's best friend Smith Hamilton.  Believing that she never has to see him again, Evie tries to initiate a one-night stand with Smith only to find out afterwards that he has just agreed to work alongside her brother, the same brother that she is now working with.  Sharing a small office proves difficult for the pair to keep to themselves. Only the though of Cullen, Evie's brother, can extinguish the fire and even that doesn't put the flames out completely.

Evie and Smith are hilarious in the way they go about things.  Evie sneaking into his room, Smith capturing her in the copy room, disaster was bound to strike and the couple have to prove they have what it takes to make it.

Book 3 - The House Mate

Max Alexander is living the high life. His own business, great friends, and no lack of female company. That is right up until the moment his 1 year old baby daughter is dropped on his doorstep.  Trying to juggle work, home and the baby proves too much, so Max applies for a nanny.  Enter Addison. Having given up her dream of being a teacher to support her ex, Addison finds the perfect solution in the role of nanny for Max but the attraction between cannot be tamed and soon lines are blurred between employer/employee and lovers.  I loved Max and Addison's story.  The connection they had romantically and the similarities in parenting techniques made for the perfect couple.

Book 4 - The Soul Mate

If you believe in Fate, Karma or the power of souls mates then you will love this one.

Bren is a commitment phobe, but she is also a woman with needs.  Deciding to have a one-night stand seems like the solution to her problem. That is until she meets Mason Bentley. Sneeking out of his apartment may have been the stupidest thing she has ever done but that is when fate steps in.  Believing that she may be pregnant, Bren's best friend makes an appointment for Bren to see her doctor.  There is never a good time to see your one-night stand who may be the potential father of your child but when it is with you legs in the air and his fingers where they shouldn't be, is certainly not ideal. Mason has been desperate to find Bren since the most amazing night of his life and when she finally drops back into his life his decides he his going to hang onto her with everything he has. But how do you convince a commitment phobe to commit? Another lovely story of love, separation, heartbreak and taking a chance.

An AMAZING collection of the entire Roommates series in one sexy package! I loved everything about this series and each book was fantastic. It's a must-read set!

The Roommate

Cannon is having a run of bad luck. While everything in his professional life is going well, it's his personal one that's causing some problems. He's a med student, working his way through rotations, and will soon leave for his residency, so it doesn't make sense for him to rent a place of his own now that he needs a new place to stay.

Allie and Paige have been best friends for years, so when Allie asks Paige to let her little brother stay with her for a couple of months, Paige agrees, albeit reluctantly. Only Cannon isn't the geeky guy she remembers from their childhood.

I loved everything about this book. From the prologue you'll be hooked and the characters will keep you interested through the rest of the story. Cannon is something special. Sexy, charming, and downright sinful, this dirty-talking doctor will bring you to your knees. He's simply scrumptious.

Paige is very independent and self-sufficient. But until Cannon moved in, she never realized how lonely she was too. And though she knows she shouldn't be attracted to this younger guy, she just can't help it.

The Playmate

Smith is amazing! If there's a perfect ratio of naughty to nice, Smith is it. He's flirty and fun, with the patience of a saint when it comes to Evie. He's also a little bit broken, which makes him even more lovable. You can't help but root for him to find his happily ever after.

I adore Evie. She's just starting to find her footing as an adult. She's at that stage I think we all can relate to - fearless and yet scared to death at the same time. She very much has the same approach to Smith.

I loved this story! From beginning to end it was fun, flirty, heartwarming, and sexy. A definite must-read if you ask me.

The House Mate

From the very first chapter, I fell in love with Max. He may have made some questionable choices in the beginning, but when it all comes down to it, he's a pretty stand-up guy. He's sexy and dirty and just plain yummy. And it's easy to see why the nanny has the hots for him.

Addison is everything opposite from what Max typically goes for, but that won't stop him from wanting her. She's sweet, loving, and an amazing nanny, but Max sees the sexy vixen underneath - the one Addison is convinced just isn't there.

Together, the sparks fly off the pages. There's plenty of steamy moments to keep you hot and bothered, but there's an equal amount of swoon, laughter, and heartache to leave you with a well-written, complete story.

The Soul Mate

Mason, whew. He’s perfect. I seriously couldn’t find anything wrong with him. And I mean anything. And I looked. He’s charming, considerate, and sweet. But at the same time, he balances it all out with this undeniable sex appeal that has you squirming in your seat. He’s sexy on the outside, but all that other stuff makes him even sexier on the inside, creating the perfect hero for our story.

Bren has a bit more issues. She has a great personality, she’s funny, smart, sexy. Her only flaw is how guarded she is, especially with her heart. Letting someone in isn’t as easy for her as it is for Mason. That’s not a bad thing though. Her issues are raw and real, and that makes her a perfect character.

I adored Mason and Bren. I loved watching them come from opposite ends of the “relationship” spectrum and meeting in the middle for this story. Get ready to swoon, laugh, cry, and fan your flaming cheeks.

Four Romantic Romps

When the “Room Mates” series was offered as a package I grabbed it, even though I’d previously read three of the four novels. So I got to read “The Play Mate” and reread “The Room Mate” “The House Mate” and “The Soul Mate” and enjoyed them all. Obviously I like Kendall Ryan’s books or I wouldn’t bother rereading any of them, which, by the way, is a rare thing for me to do. “The Play Mate” turned out to be one of my favorites. The character development, plot and storyline made for great escape reading. A perfect way to snuggle up and avoid the blast of arctic air that invaded the deep south this week. I always enjoy Ms Ryan’s work but I do wish whoever is supposed to be serving as copy editor would get on the ball. I saw way too many dropped words and typos but even worse were the grammatical errors, several of which were wrong verb tense. Don’t schools teach conjugation of verbs anymore? Some may think me petty in my criticism, but when you join the big leagues, these things matter.

This set of four books all revolve around the theme of forbidden love and close relationships outside of the duo that might make it tricky, if not impossible. Sizzling hot reads that can each be read as a standalone.

This set covers most the tropes for forbidden love: best friends brother, best friends sister, single Dad and nanny, and a one night stand who ends up pregnant and guess who her new Ob-Gyn is? I preferred the first two, over the last two, but all were well written. Throw in both humor and some trouble to work through and you have a winning formula for a romance comedy series.

I have been a huge fan of Kendall Ryan's Room Mates series as they are all a perfect combination of sexy alpha males and the sassy women who bring them to their knees. I honestly loved each and every one and so so excited to have them all in one place for my collection. They are witty, brilliant and filled to the brim with hot and swoony banter that goes on for days. I absolutely love them and know they will be reread favorites. Bravo! 4.5 stars! ~Ratula

Phew, it's A LOT of reading. To all romance lover out there, this book is definitely your cup of tea. Each book is a pure romantic adventure. From naughty proposition, unexpected bond, to life-long search of love, these series covered them all. My favorite, though, Bren and Mason. Their story is the sweetest and the most romantic of all. Take your pick among these perfect book-boyfriends, because when you finally get to the last word, one of them will surely have knocked you off your feet!

Ok

The room mate:
Paige is smart & driven.
Cannon is adorable & a sexy doctor.

The play mate:
Smith is old fashioned.
Evie is close to being innocent.

The house mate:
I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it.
Max was surprised with a child & hired Addison to be a live in nanny.

The soul mate:
Not my favorite story. Some of it felt rushed. Mason & Bren things with them seemed far fetched.

Ok read

This set of books is good. I am glad I paid .99. This collection each book it good but they are not interrelated which was a let down and also the books left you wanting more. They were each a good read but not worth the amount they were wanting to charge glad I waited.
