Time is a thief they say, and if you’re not careful it’ll slip right past you, taking everything you hold dear in this world with it.

It was the summer of 1972 when I first laid eyes on him.

Cynthia Rose probably got more than she bargained for when she came to my door step asking to write about my story.

Our story.

To everyone else Travis Cole was just the bad boy, but to me

If I'd Known is my first read by Paige P. Horne, and she certainly left an impression on me! When I saw this book was based on a true story, I knew I had to read it! I didn't really know what to expect other than that. I'm going to tell you a little bit to give you an idea of what you're in for, but no spoilers from me! Don't worry!

it was the Summer of 1972....
And Charlotte was hit by the lightening, straight to her heart and changed her life completely.
"God.....that summer was the day my life changed forever. The day my heart latched onto another's so severely it was as if they'd become one."
The second part of the heart belonged to Travis Cole, this lanky golden-eyed boy from Ft.Pearce, FL with crooked, boyish smile and A boy with dark brown hair, chestnut eyes and Holy Dimples . Their static electricity zaps

For anyone who lost the love of their life to an early passing, reading this book is a must. I lost my husband to cancer and there are parts in this book that I could see myself living through as well. The author did her mother-in-law and the love of her life true reverence in her writing. A young love found, lost and found again to only loose to soon. An absolute excellent read!

5 stars! Paige’s at her best!

You know that moment when you begin to read a book and you feel it’s going to be an ugly cry read, but yet you can’t stop devouring what you’re reading? Your head is pounding because you can’t stop crying and your tears aren’t an obstacle to finish this book? Your heart keeps clenching and you know it’s coming but you are in denial? That was me throughout this book.

If there is one thing that this author can deliver besides angst is tears- not little tears, but ugly

5 Summer of 72 Stars!!!

WOW!!! Emotionally gutted right now. That’s how I am feeling after just finishing this story. New to me author, Paige P. Horne wrote a beautiful love story. One that isn’t the typical love story but one that needed to be told.

The summer of 72, is when it all started. Young and falling in love. A love that would span over many many years. How can you stay in love with someone when everyone around you is pushing you apart?

How do you convince pe

This book will make you laugh, cry, and have all the feels. Being based on a true story makes it even better! Only some people get to experience a real true love. Charlotte and Travis definitely had that true love. If you are looking for a love story to read this is definitely the book to read.

Oh my goodness! This book had wrecked me. The amount of tears that are coming down are insane. A love like Travis's and Charlotte's cannot be recreated. Hold every moment dear . Regrets can never be an option. Look towards life and family and the people you love. That is what matters most. Life is unfair under these circumstances. This author's writing and story sucked me in and made me feel everything. It makes you realise you cannot dwell over the little things. Hold onto your love and never l ...more

Read this book people! It’s based on actual events and had me shaking my fists and crying out loud “why God why?” It’s so heartbreaking and the phrase that kept going through my mind was “time is a thief.”

How my heart breaks for the real Charlotte and Travis. I applaud Paige for writing this story for those people in her life. Without even knowing the story is real, the book still has such an authentic feel. I loved it!

Reading this book was a true experience for me. It took a few days to let my emotions settle before I could write this review.

It's been a while since a book touched me so much. Paige is a new author to me, but I've added her whole catalog to my tbr list and will most definitely be reading her work again.

Not only is she a talented writer; but she writes smart, sophisticated Southern women! In If I'd Known, you get 3, count them THREE perfect examples. Not perfect because they are perfect people

“My heart knew what it wanted. It had always known…”

I already knew this story would be amazing. I just never expected it to hit home and it hit me real hard.

I was a mess while reading this book, but it was that delightful kind of mess. The story in itself was poetic, beautifully and soulfully written. The friendship that sprung between three women who were completely different from each other was another spectacular thing to add to this book. Each of them bringing with us a story of love and

This was my first read by Paige P. Horne and wow, did it leave an impression! I can easily say this is one of my all-time favorites love stories. It was a beautiful, but yet, tragic and heartbreaking story that left me crying like I have never cried before. What makes this even more of a tearjerker is finding out that it's based on a true story. Make sure you have a box of tissues handy for this one. You will definitely need it.

There are not enough stars out there to give this book a proper rating. I was given the honor of an ARC and I honestly would buy this book over and over again. The book is based on a true story which makes it all the more beautiful and tragic.
The story is told in past and present and blends both together so well you find yourself unsure if you want to be listening to the narrative of the past or current events. All of the characters feel as if they are someone you know or would like to know. Ch

Paige Horne is a new author to me and I will be reading much more from her! This book....WOW...what I kept going back to is the fact that this book is based on a true story; one in which the author was a part of. Although the story format is very similar to "The Notebook" in that the main story takes place back in 1972 when Charlotte and Travis meet, and then fast forwards to the present with Charlotte retelling their love story; as a reader I was much more drawn to their story knowing it was tr ...more

Why haven't I ever read any of Paige P. Horne's books before now? That was the first thing I thought after finishing If I'd Known. Well, after I collected myself and all of the emotions this book made me feel. I enjoyed every part of this book, both the scenes in the past and the present. Maggie was probably my favorite character thanks to her constantly making me laugh. I really hope I am still as full of life and adventure as she is when I'm her age. It will leave you torn apart and 100% ugly crying. But in saying that, I can't recommend it highly enough. What makes it even more heartbreaking is this story is true, although names have been changed. Mama C, you (a

If I'd know by Paige Horne

When this book turned up on my kindle I wasn't sure what I was in for, but this book pulled at every heart string I have and left me with tears falling from not just the truth, the life and heart break but the amazing words that were written.

The story of Charlotte and Travis was of young love, of a beautiful story of two young people who meet and have that amazing chemistry. Of a couple who were young and in love but had to face many hurtles and face everyday challenge

This is a tough one to review because for most of the book, I wasn't all that engaged with either the story or the characters. I liked what I read from the blurb and that's why I bought it. A life-long love is always interesting to me and I had high hopes for this one. However, I felt as if something were missing and perhaps it is in the style in which the author wrote it.

We get the past and present as Charlotte Harris tells her story of the man she loved for all of her life, whether he was a pa

I received an ARC of this book, since I saw the cover I felt in love. I am a huge fan of second chance love story and this one is an example of why. This story is about how Charlotte and Travis meet and felt in love, I love that is told in past and present. The story was full of emotions and pure love between this couple.

The story start when Cynthia asked Charlotte if she can publish her love story on a local newspaper. Since then they became friends along with Maggie. They form a beautiful rela

If I'd Known is a beautiful story of two people who meet, fall in love, but face challenges and obstacles along the way. I felt like I was reading the intimate pages of someones diary. Each chapter revealing another piece of the puzzle. I love how the story line isn't traditionally written from beginning to end. The author takes you on a journey through different periods of time, intricately placing details along the way. You feel transported back in time. The characters in this book are unforge ...more

Amazing love story. The story is like watching a movie unfold. Travis and Charlotte each find there one true love at 17. Fate stepped in & separated them for 30 years . After 30 years distance , fate & second chance at love brought them back to one another. You will laugh & cry , as well bring back some memories of your own teenage crush.
