DNF at 21%. Poorly edited, with way, WAY too many “you-have-got-to-be-kidding-me” plot elements this early in the book. Life is too short to waste time on lousy books.

A Joyfully Jay review.

This book was a difficult one to read. Not just because of the wincing tropes, tropes both offensive and tired, but the writing. First, the book needed much better editing; it seemed as if it was mostly done by spell check. If you’re not careful, you end up with homophone issues, such as “reigns” instead of “reins,” or just odd word choices, such as having someone gain a “foot hole” instead of a “foothold,” or a character slowing their breathing “conscientiously” ra

I loved this farcical bit of unreality. Luuuurrved it. It was over the top. It was an over the top paranormal romance mate situation. Did I say it was over the top? Well, it was. There were some beastly aspects of this that were just kind of ... skeery. Yep.

The author walked a fine line between gross and titillating, I'll be honest, but it somehow worked. And probably because the deceptively delicate MC, Peter, was really a beastly fucking badass while alpha cop and intuitive spirituali

4,5 heart review by Roberta

So, I picked up this book and was really intrigued by the blurb. I mean, it sounds sexy and dangerous and paranormal, I mean…this is right up my alley. I do so love me some good paranormal stories. I have to say that this story, when it finally kicked in…Blew me away…I had dreams about this book the night I finished.

While reading this book I was caught by so much…I mean, it seems that Remi does ALL the chasing in this story. I do mean ALL. However, I liked that for a g

Detective Remi Devereaux is finally getting his footing here in Louisville, Kentucky after leaving Louisiana and his family behind. He never expects his world to be turned upside down by a beautiful blonde he spots in the grocery store, especially since that blonde happens to also be a man. But for some reason, gender doesn’t seem to be of any concern to him because every part of him says this man is the one.

Unfortunately, getting to know Peter Romanoff isn't as easy as Remi would’ve h

Strong premise, lovely cover. This book had me hooked. It started out good, but soon lost it's appeal. First of all, there were quite a few editing mistakes, i.e. homophones and odd words. Then, while the MCs were pining for each other, they had dates, sex and more sex, but we didn't learn a lot more about the case and Peter didn't really tell Remi things about himself. Remi had to figure everything out in a moment of need without people explaining to him, while it was almost too late. He wasn't ...more

I am so disappointed in this book. I wouldn’t normally spend $5 on a new to me author and a book with zero Amazon reviews, but this book got a good review on Boy Meets Boy blog and sounded good so I went for it. The first couple of chapters were badly written. It jumps around and is way too descriptive of random items and not characters you actually want descriptions of. I had to make myself keep reading for the first 60-70%. The last 30% was actually not too bad. Overall not well written but I ...more
