Old Man Logan was a nightmare future for Wolverine wherein he did something terrible in his past leading to a dystopian wasteland ruled by thugs before one last tragedy shocks him into a final attempt at redemption – it’s arguably the best Wolverine book.

Old Woman Laura isn’t an unimaginative gender swap of the same storyline so much as it is false advertising. Laura didn’t do anything terrible and the future world she lives in isn’t a wasteland – in fact it’s the opposite; it’s a utopia! Maybe

Absolutely fantastic! I've loved this run and I'm really hoping Honey Badger and Jonathan don't disappear from Laura's life now she's not going to be Wolverine anymore. (You'll always be MY Wolverine, kid. Snikitty-snikt!)

Tom Taylor finishes off Wolverine's story with a couple of one-offs and the three part "Old Woman Laura". First, Deadpool returns and it is magical. Then we get an epilogue to Orphans of X where Laura goes after one of the people who hurt both her and a member of the Orphans. Finally we see Laura's possible future where she decides to take out Dr. Doom before she dies. This is decidedly not the same dystopian future where Old Man Logan came from.

This is one of those series I'll find

A good, but not great, send off for Laura as the Wolverine.

So we start off with two standalone issues before getting into the Old Woman Laura storyline. The first is basically a team up with Deadpool and Gabby. It's about as magical as you can expect. The next story is about a woman wanting revenge for her father being killed. Laura had killed her father but the woman knows better than that and together she teams up with Wolverine to take down the people responsible. Last storyline jumps into t

It was an ok end to Taylors run. An issue with Wade, an issue with some Orphans and then a 3 issue run on Lauras final days. It was good fun and emotional at the end but I feel like some his earlier issues were alot better.

It's a pity to see Taylor's All-New Wolverine end so soon (but what doesn't at Marvel nowadays). However, his limited run is probably what allowed him to go out on a high note.

The strength of Taylor's Wolverine has always been his character writing. So in this volume we get a short about Gabby's relationship with Jonathan (and Wade), a short about how Laura is dealing with the Orphans of X, and a three-issue story about Laura's final days(?) that allows Taylor to really go to the heart of who she is.<

My first experience with one of these female reboots of superheroes. And I have to say i really enjoyed Laura’s journey! She truly is a worthy wolverine! I look forward to wathever may come next.

All good things must come to an end (usually earlier than they ought to if you’re a Marvel Comics series), and the time has come for All-New Wolverine to conclude. But first, Laura revisits the Orphans of X, Gabby teams up with Deadpool, and in the not-to-distant future, Laura Kinney is dying and she’s going to take Doctor Doom down with her!

First up are some one-and-done stories. We haven’t had many of these throughout the history of the series, but Tayl

A pretty beautiful emotional finish.

World: The art is good, it's solid and is able to convey emotions so well. There tone is great the sense of motion fantastic. The world building as with all final runs with writers, there is a sense of closure and using all the pieces the writer has created and that's what's happening here. The time jump is great, it allows for Taylor to tell his own story and end on his own terms but also not need to set things up for the next creative team.

This was a great run. A lot of fun. Laura and gabby and Jonathan were all great characters. It was funny and endearing and spoiled the readers with happy-ish endings. When I first saw the female wolverine I wasn’t happy about replacing logan. But X-23 is a great successor. A truly great character. She may be Logan’s clone daughter person but she is an original character for sure. My favorite among the female replacements for people who are upset there aren’t enough female superheroes but don’t h ...more

Sad to see a great series coming to an end. The entire series had been a blast. Art and writing are amazing and I’ll definitely miss Laura as The Wolverine.

These are my thoughts on the series as a whole because I more or less read it as a whole. I've been a fan of x-23 for years. Since her introduction in xmen evolution. 13 year old me liked the idea of girl wolverine, a concept that would probably annoy me today but the reason I still love her is what they did with her. Is what she became. Back when I did re comics regularly, I'd follow her around from series to series. I loved her run, both mini series, new x-men, x-force, avengers Academy, and e ...more

I really enjoyed Tom Taylor and the All-new Wolverine from volume 1 to 6. We get 3 mini stories in this last volume and I really liked all 3. The first story is short and involves a deadpool and honeybadger team up, Deadpool plays the mentor to Gabby and its a fun little ride. The second story is about Wolverine helping an old friend, probably my least favorite but some solid action and story. The last story involves the "old-man/woman" treatment Marvel currently just loves. It actually a really ...more
I was a little disappointed that someone who was dedicated to not killing decides that her last act will be to kill someone, even if it's Doctor Doom. Laura seems to be dedicated to reconciliation, and this runs counter to that. And contrary to probably popular opinion, I think Doom is redeemable. He is not someone who is swayed by creature comforts and I think has shown throughout his history someone who has access to a "higher mind." Regardless of who it is, I think Laura should have stuck to ...more

This was an amazing run! I'm so sad to see it end! The Old Woman Laura arc was a nice way to send it off though! The art was great in this volume, and I've been waiting yeeeaaarssss for a Laura/Julian "reunion", so seeing them together here, no matter how limited, was very nice for me, personally. And the ending was just great. I can't recommend this series enough! 5/5 stars!

I love Wolverine and Honey Badger so fucking much and I’m deeply upset this series ended. I will be rereading this annually to keep my heart from being broken.
This had my favourite single comic book issue ever inside it! #31 is sheer perfection
“Catharsis is pretty”.

Plus the Old woman Laura story was great by itself, but also a beautiful foil to the Old Man Logan story arc. All the stars

Prepare yourself for an all-new Wolverine in this exciting new series from Tom Taylor and a skilled team of Marvel artists, as one of the best characters in the Marvel Universe, X-23, rises to take the place of one of comic’s most beloved superheroes. I have reviewed all 6 volumes of All-New Wolverine in one big review.

Following the death of the original Wolverine, Logan, in the 2014 series Death of Wolverine, Marvel chose to elevate his clone and surrogate daughter, X-23, to the rol

This was...interesting. It's the first time I've seen a "let's-jump-randomly-to-the-future" story where it wasn't something horribly tragic and dystopian. The story itself was all right, but I'd rather see Laura's story continued here in the present where it has come connection to the wider MU and where it can have impact on the character as we know her now. So the titular Old Woman Laura arc, while well-written and interesting--team of older female heroes take down Earth's final despot: Doctor Doom ...more

With this being the last Volume in the series (before moving back to an X-23 title), this outing was good, but felt a little forced and "wrapping things up"...
That being said... the stories found here:
- Gabby's pet Wolverine came from a lab where he was hurt and experimented on. When she crosses paths with that lab and decides to take it down, she (as Honey Badger) calls up Deadpool to help.
- A brief (and slightly confusing story) about Laura trying to make amen

Seeing the Old Woman Laura title, I immediately wrote off this volume as just another gender-swapped recap of a previous Wolverine adventure. Thus, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Old Woman Laura is actually a standalone near future tale in which Laura must gang up with some other badass female superheroes to defeat Doctor Doom. She is actually old! And there are no wastelands in sight.

That three-issue series was excellent - I would read more from that world in an instant. So many

This volume is a bit of a grab bag. There are three distinct stories here, each with a different artist. Truth is, the space in which they are told just isn't enough to craft anything memorable or riveting in the world of superhero books. We get a goofy Deadpool story, a follow-up to Orphans of X, and the Old Woman Laura arc. The first two are decent stories, but nothing special or even necessary. The titular arc is decent, with some good art and a neat alternate future story, but it's pretty we ...more

And it comes to an end. Of course, the single issue-crossover with Deadpool is great and fun. And then the "future" crossover with a bunch of female Avengers was... well, fine. It's a beautiful glimpse of the future versions of Laura and Gabby and a cool way to close these All-New Wolverine adventures. But if feels too cheesy, too eager to get a happy ending. I'm OK with it, but it feels too easy. Anyway, I enjoyed this final short story. Most of the plots develoved along Taylor's run on X-23 se ...more

Continuing the great x-read of 2017/18...

Laura and Gabby's adventures continue to be probably the most fun of the current crop of x-books to read.

This one starts out with a couple of sort of throwaway but quite fun stand-alones before going into a multi-issue storyline set in the future. Sure, it is a bit more-of-the-same but it was nice to see a future that wasn't the typical post-apocalyptic hellscape and the story has some fun twists (one in partic

An interesting end to a fantastic run. I love Laura so much and introducing Honebadger to the world has been one of this runs biggers highlights. Overall this run has been fantastic. I found it interesting, fun, brutal, and heartwarming. I love the characters, most of the stories, and the art has been stellar since day one. This particular volume was a little out there and filler-like which kinda sucks to a certain degree since you would expect a big finale to the current run instead of filler. ...more

This was great! The two shorts featuring Deadpool, Gabby, and Jonathan getting revenge on an animal testing facility, and Laura and Amber, the head Orphan of X, getting revenge on the guy that had Laura kill Amber’s dad were pretty sweet, but the Old Woman Laura story that makes up the bulk of the collection was even sweeter. Kamala Khan is president of the US! That’s awesome! The whole story was pretty awesome, and the art was great, and I’m just happy this last All-New Wolverine trade was so g ...more
