math is always a good way to incorporate a book to read about the topic before doing an activity. This book has a clock on it to help you tell time. Time is something my first graders just learned, and this is a great book to read in the morning before reviewing time. This book explains money very well. It explains how it is used, how it is made, and so much more that a child could be curious about.
This is a fantastic concise-but-thorough educatioanal book about money. Jared (and I)really enjoyed it. It goes through the history of the use of money and the evolution of its forms, to how and where money is made, how it is used (including alternate forms of money like checks and credit cards), things money is used for, and the names for money in other countries.
