Imagination an adventure park with princesses roaming around and fairy tale themed rides--isn't that every little girl's dream? That's exactly what you'll find in Storybook Valley, and the little girl in my heart loved it, too.

Rory (Aurora Rose) is a dancer with an overbearing boss, but loves her family and their business. She has thoughts of more, such as owning her own dance studio, but she works hard and is loyal, almost to a fault.

In a little Romeo and Juliet twist, she accidentally meets

I was so excited for Stacy Juba's new book, Prancing Around With Sleeping Beauty. I had really enjoyed Fooling Around With Cinderella, and wanted to see more of Storybook Valley.

The new one starts out with a peek into Rory's life when she believes her boyfriend is proposing, but he isn't. We also get to see her job as a dance instructor and how much pressure she's under to perform. Her life is predictable, safe, and not all that fun. When she meets Kyle, however, some things start to "f

Happy release day to this new book by Stacy Juba! This is the second book in this Storybrook Valley series but these books can stand alone and do not need to be read in any particular order.

I loved the cute first meet between Rory and Kyle. It set the tone for the whole relationship. Kyle was fantastic. Determined, supportive, smart. Rory has a kind heart and thinks about others but has some trouble when it comes to herself and what she wants. She knows she isn't happy where she is in

I've finally found my Sweet Valley High replacement! Yes, I am 35 years old and still want to read those teenage, angst-filled books! (And yes, I'll further admit, I'd pick up a Babysitters Club if things got real desperate around here #noshameinmygame).

Storybook Valley is a sweet romance series that gives all #thefeels without having anyone strip down to their undies. They give you just enough romance without tipping the hat and turning smutty.

The family of Storybook Val

Prancing Around with Sleeping Beauty is the second novel in the Storybook Valley Series. I enjoyed book one, Fooling Around With Cinderella, so I couldn’t wait to read its sequel. Just as I knew it would be, Prancing Around With Sleeping Beauty was just as good as the first book. It’s well crafted with rich details, witty dialogue, and a captivating plot.

Rory Callahan has been teaching dance for years. Although it was comforting to know that she was a valued employee, her dream has always been,

Prancing Around With Sleeping Beauty by Stacy Juba had me by the title. I’m a Disney princess fanatic (and I have the Halloween costumes to prove it, and not just as a little girl) so I was looking forward to hearing the story of Rory Callahan – named after Aurora AKA Sleeping Beauty. I didn’t realize it going into the novel that this is actually the second book in the A Storybook Valley series, but it just took me a couple of chapters to head to Amazon to verify this was indeed in a series. I voluntarily received an ARC of Prancing Round With Sleeping Beauty in exchange for an honest review.  This is the second installment of the Storybook Valley series, and I found it even sweeter than the first.

I usually am not a huge fan of “clean” romances, but this series is so charming. The characters are so incredibly endearing; I couldn’t help but fall in love with them.   Rory and Kyle sparked from the first moment they met, and I found myself smiling through most of the story. This is o

A fun novel. A bit predictable, but that is typical for chicklit romance and didn't diminish my enjoyment. Read my full review at Girl Who Reads.

I loved this story! It's a perfect follow up to Fooling Around With Cinderella. I recommend both books in this series to get the feel of Storybook Valley. They are light and fun reads that won't disappoint.

Without giving spoilers, I will just say I was routing for this relationship from the start. I found myself smiling a lot while reading this and continued with "just one more chapter" until suddenly it was the end. The feud between the two families is comical and the characters are all interes

Rory, who has been named after Princess Aurora, has made out of dancing her life. Her only dream is to have her own place but she is too good for her own good. With a boyfriend that has no time for her and a boss that squish her passion, she finds hard to take life by the horns. Until she meets a sweet, impulsive and free young man, the only problem? He is from the family’s archrival.

As you can imagine their situation brings lots of fun pages about how he tries to convince her about giving him a

I just love this series! This family is great with everyone having a name associated with a fairy tale. And lets not forget the feud with the family who owns the zoo. When Rory meets Kyle she wants to get to know him better but then she finds out he's the grandson of the her grandfather's enemy she's not sure if she should follow the spark with him. But what's a girl to do when her very own prince is trying to win her heart.

Loved this book! This is a sweet romance that just made me smile. In it, Rory is a dance instructor struggling with employment issues when she trips over Kyle, the grandson of the family her family has been feuding with for many years. However, instead of the dull witted animal jailer she expected, he's intelligent, kind, and well educated. When the sparks fly, they try to quietly get to know each other without upsetting their families....or be true to themselves. What follows is a charming roma ...more

This book was just so cute. This is the second book of a series, but it can be read on its own. The writing flowed nicely, the romance was sweet, and the characters were adorable and quirky. Rory and Kyle were made for each other and it was entertaining to read about them as they figured it out. One thing I liked was the rivalry between the zoo and amusement park—what is actually behind it all boggles the mind when it is revealed. If you are looking for a book to give you a quick pick-me-up with ...more

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. When I reviewed Fooling Around with Cinderella I talked about how it fit perfectly into my obsession with series books. I love long in-depth romance series in which all the couples are intertwined. I love how you get to see how the previous couples are still happy and progressing while you read about a new couple falling in love. Prancing Around ...more

Prancing Around with Sleeping Beauty by Stacy Juba

Aurora Callahan, nicknamed Rory, is floating through her life. She’s dating a doctor in residency. Their relationship is comfortable but going nowhere. When Rory trips into Kyle’s life they both enjoy a lively banter. Which entices Rory and Kyle alike.

Rory’s brother, Dylan is general manager for the family-owned Storybook Valley Amusement Park, who we met in book one. Wants to start a princess program for young girls that will incorporate dance,

I love author Stacy Juba’s sense of humor! I chuckled, giggled and may have even snorted through Prancing Around with Sleeping Beauty. The story abounds with quirky characters such as Rory’s grandfather who has an obsession with gnomes, her grandmother who loves to play the fairy godmother and give princess deportment lessons, and her friend the costume mistress who dresses up as Red Riding Hood and wanders around the park just for fun to name just a few.

The story starts with a romantic airplane

This is cute, and I love the whimsical feeling of the fairytale theme park. It's lots of fun, and I loved the dancing angle. I actually would've loved to see Rory do more dancing of her own; to show her passion for dance more. The cover is adorable! Loved seeing the characters from the first book, and would've loved more of that too! I really enjoyed the first book in the series, and I was excited to read this one. I'm really enjoying this series and hope that there's more! In this one, Rory doe ...more

Super cute story! I love that this series is set in a theme park - how fun! And Rory being a dance teacher - My daughter took ballet for years and this brought back some real nice memories. Every time the book talked about the kids and dance class I got pictures in my head of my daughter's class. Those are some great memories. I love when a book can do that to you.
