While this is above my 20 month old's comprehension, she LOVES trains and so she likes this one a lot. I only end up reading the main text to her, but have perused the in-depth info in the fact boxes and learned quite a bit more about trains than I know. For any train loving kid, this would be a great book. It was also interesting that the engineer was a girl and doesn't contribute to stereotypes.

A decent book about trains that held my preschooler's attention all the way to the end. There's the main text with the general information and then there's the little boxes of more technical info for the ones who want to know a little more, a nice addition. The illustrations were engaging and fun to look at.

These books by Sarah Bridges are so great! I really love them. This one is about a freight train and my kids LOVE trains, so this was a very popular book. They listened intently and asked questions and loved learning about trains.
